100 Percent Fed Up -Up to this point, the mainstream media has remained relatively incurious about January 6th rioter Ray Epps.

Many media outlets, along with establishment politicians such as former Representative Adam Kinzinger and Congressional Democrats, have actively attacked people who attempted to ask questions about why Epps has not been arrested, despite video evidence of criminal activity.
Why? Why is the Left and their allies in the mainstream media so hell-bent on convincing everyone to ignore what they can plainly see with their own eyes and instead believe what they tell you to believe?

Despite aggressively pursuing other protesters who were present at the January 6th ‘Stop the Steal’ rally, one mainstream media outlet will now give him a sympathetic interview and depict him as the victim of right-wing ‘conspiracy theories.’
The sympathetic profile of Epps will likely not include recent evidence indicating that he was involved in criminal activity at the protest, activity that goes far beyond what other protesters were criminally charged for.
A video that was released by Julie Kelly of American Greatness, shows Epps on the front lines of the protest, confronting police who are shoving protesters with batons.

On Friday, 60 Minutes aired a preview of an interview they are publishing on Sunday that calls allegations that Epps is an FBI formant a ‘convoluted conspiracy.’
Texts that were uncovered between Ray Epps and his nephew reveal Epps telling him, “I was in the front with a few others. I helped orchestrate it.”

In his testimony with the J6 Committee, Ray Epps admits to texting his nephew that day, saying, “I was in the front with a few others. I also orchestrated it.”
Epps is on video saying protesters need to “go to the Capitol.”
He was never charged nor arrested.

You might also think that 60 Minutes would interview other sources, considering Epps knowingly lied in sworn testimony to the January 6th Committee, but instead, they are decrying all reporting that is critical of Epps as the work of conspiracy theorists.  Revolver News’ Darren Beattie indicated that he was not contacted for comment from 60 Minutes despite his important investigative journalism on the matter.

The mountain of evidence against Epps, which includes an appearance on the FBI’s Most Wanted List that was mysteriously removed, will continue to be maligned as misinformation while Epps gets a national platform uncontested.

On January 11, 2021, FBI National Security Branch Executive Assistant Director Jill Sanborn was questioned by the US Senate Judiciary Committee by Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) on whether or not FBI agents or confidential informants played a role on Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol incident that Democrats and their allies in the media have labeled an “insurrection” and “domestic terror attack.” During a recent interview with Carlson, Sen Fox News’ Tuckator Cruz himself apologized for referring to the incident as a “terror attack” on the Capitol.
At the Senate Judiciary Committee’s “The Domestic Terrorism Threat One Year After January 6” hearing, Senator Cruz drilled down on Jill Sandborn, demanding she reveals the extent of the FBI’s involvement in the incident.
“Did any FBI agents or confidential informants actively participate in the events of January 6th? Yes or no?” Sen. Cruz asked.
FBI’s Jill Sanborn: “I can’t answer that.”
Senator Cruz began to ask more direct questions about Ray Epps, a man who was seen on Jan 5, encouraging Trump supporters to go inside the Capitol on Jan. 6. Mr. Epps was also seen in several cases encouraging Trump supporters to breach the Capitol throughout the day.
Cruz asked Jill Sanborn a direct question about Ray Epps: “Ms. Sanborn, was Ray Epps a fed?”
Ms. Sanborn replied: “Sir, I cannot answer that question.”
“Ms. Sanborn, a lot of Americans are concerned that the Federal Government deliberately encouraged illegal and violent conduct on January 6th. My question to you—and this is not an ordinary law enforcement question—this is a question about public accountability—Did federal agents, or those in service of federal agents, actively encourage violent and criminal conduct on January 6th?” Cruz said.
“Not to my knowledge,” a defiant Sandborn responded.

Tucker Carlson gave the keynote speech at the 50th Anniversary of the Heritage Foundation last night Thursday night.   
Tucker began his career at Heritage 30-years ago as a fact-checker.

The battle for America today is one between good and evil, popular Fox News host Tucker Carlson said Friday night in his keynote address at The Heritage Foundation’s 50th anniversary gala.
“What you’re watching is not a political movement,” Carlson said. “It’s evil.”
The side of evil is characterized by violence, hate, disorder, division, disorganization, and filth, Carlson said in remarks at the black-tie-optional affair at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center here. And praying to protect America against such things is something he too often forgets to do, he told a ballroom audience of about 2,000.
The battle is not about economics or policy papers, Carlson said, as it was in 1991 when he began his first job at The Heritage Foundation as a fact-checker on the same day communist hard-liners staged a coup in the Soviet Union. (The Daily Signal is Heritage’s multimedia news organization.)
“The side of good is characterized by calmness, tranquility, peace, lack of conflict, cleanliness,” Carlson said. “And evil is characterized by their opposites.”
Tucker said a lot in his 20-minute speech.
At the 7:20 minute mark below Tucker shared the following:
Once you say one true thing and stick with it all kinds of other true things occur to you.  The truth is contagious.  Lying is but the truth is as well and the second you decide to tell the truth about something you are filled with this, I don’t want to get supernatural on you, but you are filled with this power from somewhere else.  Try it…
The more you tell the truth the stronger you become.
During a brief question and answer period, Tucker shared that the most shocking thing over the past 30 years is that the Internet didn’t bring more truth, it narrowed the truth, by forcing narratives on us.
Tucker ended by saying to tell the people you love every day that you love them.

Riley Gaines, a former NCAA star swimmer at Kentucky, slammed Democrats after a bill protecting women’s sports passed the House with only Republican support.
The legislation – H.R. 734 – makes it a Title IX violation to “allow individuals of the male sex to participate in programs or activities that are designated for women or girls.”
The bill passed by a 219-203 vote – with zero Democrats voting in favor of protecting women’s and girls’ sports from being overrun by biological males.
“It’s almost ironic,” Gaines told Fox News host Harris Faulkner. “The left was once a party that embraced women and fought for women’s rights. And now we’ve seen this narrative being totally flipped.”
“It just shows the war on women is underway, and the Democrats will pay for this in 2024,” she warned.

What Set Riley Gaines on the Path to Fight For Women’s Sports
Riley Gaines, after celebrating Republicans passing legislation protecting women’s sports, told Faulkner a story about a race she competed in with Lia Thomas, the biological male who made a mockery of NCAA women’s swimming.
She explained that the race ended in a tie and, as there was only one trophy to give, had to watch as Thomas was awarded for “photo purposes.”
“When this NCAA official reduced everything that I had worked my entire life for – every girl at that meet had worked their entire life for – down to a photo op for a [biological] male, that’s when I knew I had had enough,” she said.
The incident prompted Gaines to become a vocal advocate in support of women’s sports.

Democrats Want to Destroy Women’s Sports
Aside from failing to cast a single vote in support of women’s sports, Democrats vociferously railed against the legislation, suggesting it was an ‘attack’ on transgender ‘children.’
“House Republicans are choosing to bully and belittle trans children,” Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA) said as he debated the bill. “This is about attacking a small group of children, and it is shameful.”
Anybody who even advocates in support of the concept of ‘transgender children’ is, in fact, attacking them with a confusing ideology meant to sexualize underage kids.
Democrats. Are. Sick.
Rep. Mark Takano, who also hails from the liberal cesspool of California, said the very discussion on protecting girl’s sports is “traumatizing” to kids.
Takano argued that the legislation makes school sports “less safe for women and girls,” an objectively false claim, and suggested the “debate itself has been traumatizing.”

All of the posturing on both sides with these lawmakers is for show.
This bill will now head to the Democrat-controlled Senate where it will likely fail with zero support once again from the party that claims to care about women.
And demonstrating that the hatred for women is universal on the left, President Biden has already indicated he would veto the legislation should it ever make it to his desk.
“If the President were presented with H.R. 734, he would veto it,” a statement from the White House reads.
They go on to allege that the bill protecting women’s and girls’ sports “targets people for who they are and therefore is discriminatory.”

Despite the aforementioned roadblocks, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy celebrated H.R. 734’s passing.
“Today is a great day for America, for fairness, for families, and most importantly, for female athletes,” he said.
“House Republicans pledged before the last election their commitment to America to protect women and girls in sports,” added McCarthy. “Today, we kept that promise.”
Let’s hope Republicans take control of the Senate and White House in 2024 and we shall see if they continue to stand by that commitment.

It seems like the rest of the world is getting an awful lot of our money these days. Tax Day came and went earlier this week and we hope you paid up. Other nations are literally banking on it.
President Biden on Thursday pledged $1 billion in taxpayer money to the United Nations’ Green Climate Fund.
That brings the total contribution from the United States to that particular fund to $2 billion.
“In 2021, President Biden pledged to work with Congress to quadruple U.S. climate support for developing countries to more than $11 billion a year by 2024,” a White House statement reads.
Additionally, President Biden will request “$500 million over five years for the Amazon Fund and related activities” to help combat rainforest deforestation in Brazil.
Imagine Oprah’s voice – You get taxpayer money! And YOU get taxpayer money! Everybody gets taxpayer money!

Where Will the Billions for Climate Change Go?
President Donald Trump described the United Nations’ Green Climate Fund (GCF) as “yet another scheme to redistribute wealth out of the United States” as he pledged to no longer finance it.
The Heritage Foundation claims the GCF “distorts energy markets and encourages corruption.”
The group reported in 2017 that “some of the top recipient nations of government-funded climate programs have been some of the most corrupt.”
“Nobody even knows where the money is going to,” Trump would claim. “Nobody’s been able to say where is it going to.”

Global emissions have increased because the world is turning back to dirty Chinese coal. If the @WhiteHouse wants to really reduce global emissions, don’t give foreign countries 1 billion dollars for their clean fund, supply the world with cleaner U.S. natural gas.

As Biden vows to send another $1 billion to the United Nations climate change fund, we just learned earlier this week that our money being doled out to help Afghanistan is very likely ending up in the hands of the Taliban.
“Unfortunately, as I sit here today, I cannot assure this committee or the American taxpayer we are not currently funding the Taliban,” special investigator John Sopko testified.

Congress thus far has refused to audit where the billions of dollars being sent to Ukraine are going as well.
Why would this climate fund be any different?
Politico laughably notes that “Republicans stand in the way” of President Biden’s climate agenda.
“Republican positioning imperils Biden’s goal of increasing international climate finance to $11 billion annually by 2024,” they stated.
The way they stood in the way and imperiled Democrats’ $1.7 trillion omnibus spending bill? Oh wait, they voted with the Democrats.
The way they stood in the way and imperiled a debt ceiling deal the year before by temporarily suspending the filibuster? Whoopsie, they voted with them on that as well.
Or maybe the way they stood in the way and imperiled the infrastructure bill? Negative. Biden was practically giddy about calling it the ‘bipartisan’ infrastructure deal every chance he got.
Who are they kidding? If President Biden wants to send $1 billion to the United Nations climate change fund, the GOP isn’t going to stop him.
If he wants to get the newly revised Green New Deal over the hump at a price tag of roughly eleventy trillion dollars, it’s going to happen.
If there’s one thing Republicans and Democrats both love, it’s giving away other people’s money and getting nothing in return.

I grew up on “Nightline with Ted Koppel,” “60 Minutes” with Dan Rather and Andy Rooney, and “Meet the Press” with Tim Russert. By the time I was in middle school, I was quizzed by my mother on news articles from our daily papers, The Minneapolis Star Tribune and the St. Paul Pioneer Press.
As you can tell, I was raised in a house dominated by news and was bred to be a current events nerd. However, now I get my news from more sources than I could list – not just because there are more options available to me, but because I rarely trust anything I read or hear.
We were far too trusting back in the day, and because of it, the nature of journalism has become less about truth and more about power. But one man is attempting to save journalism for humanity – Elon Musk.

The Truth Hurts
Elon Musk is probably any corporate lawyer’s nightmare. Unlike other CEOs, Elon lets his thoughts come out willy-nilly, unfiltered, and often while he’s on the toilet tweeting away his musings on cryptocurrency, killer memes, and free speech. (Probably.)
Since his takeover of Twitter, he’s been grinding the gears of “journalists” from near and far, much to my joy and entertainment. Recently he incensed the powers that be when he slapped the “state-affiliated” label on NPR, PBS, and the BBC, putting them in the same group as Russian and Chinese media on Twitter.
When the three threw a fit, declaring they would take their toys and stomp off the Twitter playground – in a move of sheer hilarity, Musk changed their label to “government-funded.” You can hear the exasperated gasps from those three epically boring and long-time irrelevant media organizations.
Of course, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention Musk’s recent move taking away the Gray Lady’s blue check mark because the New York Times wouldn’t pony up the monthly fee.
After the check mark was removed, Must tweeted:
“the real tragedy of @NYTimes is that their propaganda isn’t even interesting.”

Also, their feed is the Twitter equivalent of diarrhea. It’s unreadable.
They would have far more real followers if they only posted their top articles.

What’s The Point
At a conference earlier this year, Musk dropped this gem of a truth bomb:
“I’m not sure what the legacy media does… at this point.”
You and me both, brother. But like anything that comes out of Musk’s mouth, there is a goal in mind.
At the same conference, Elon explained his ultimate plan for Twitter:
“We want it to be… fundamentally the place you go to learn what’s going on and get the real story.”

But wait a minute Elon, isn’t Twitter already where we go to get the real story?
According to Deputy Director of NYU Stern’s Center for Business and Human Rights Paul Barrett, before Elon acquired the blue bird, Twitter was:
“plugged into what’s going on today in the news” and what a “certain set of influential people are saying about the news”
Now that Elon has taken over, you’d think he had turned it into a dumpster fire because instead of stifling voices that go against the mainstream, he’s allowed them to coexist in the same space as the big boys. But the truth isn’t going to come from the establishment “journos,” so who will help Elon count on to get out “the real story”?

The Little Guys
So if not your standard news outlets, who is Elon relying on to be the bastions of truth in a sea of, as he would probably describe it… diarrhea? The men and women out there who have learned to bring you the news with just a fancy smartphone, clip-on mic, and a ring light – the citizen journalist.
But his dream doesn’t come easy, as he explained:
“As Twitter pursues the goal of elevating citizen journalism, media elite will try everything to stop that from happening.”

What could Elon mean? Surely the big boys wouldn’t try to destroy the beast that feeds their ego with hearts and retweets.
In fact, they would, to the extent of spouting any talking point they are fed to smear Elon Musk and his new Twitter world. Recently Elon expertly annihilated BBC’s James Clayton, who, after claiming hate speech is on the rise on Twitter, couldn’t name one instance of hate speech he’s personally witnessed.
How embarrassing to essentially get called out by a nerd in a t-shirt for just being a parrot of propaganda. So will Elon be victorious in cleaning up the filth of fake news and ushering in the light of quality investigative journalism?

One For The Books
As much as I am rooting for Elon, I fear the beast that has become “journalism” is too big and ugly for him to defeat.
Even he admitted to an extent that there is a limit to his ability:
“Mainstream media will still thrive, but increased competition from citizens will cause them to be more accurate, as their oligopoly on information is disrupted.”
However, can citizen journalists be of any match to a Goliath that has become media? After all, it was Musk himself, with the help of established journalists, who disclosed that Twitter had become a puppet of the federal government, a playground of current and former CIA and FBI alum.
And what came of that disclosure? Journalist Matt Taibbi got a visit from the IRS on the same day he testified before the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government.
How sinfully ironic. This week on Tucker Carlson, Elon revealed:
“The degree to which various government agencies effectively had full access to everything that was going on at Twitter blew my mind.”
Is Elon destroying journalism? I hope so, given the monster it has become.
Is he the last hope for truth? Only time will tell, but either way, I have no doubt Mr. Musk will be solidified into the history books as a villain and hero – as all the greats generally become.

I find it more helpful to read/follow individual journalists, rather than publications.
Any given publication is going to have wide range of views, albeit vast majority of stories about any subject are negative, perhaps reflecting innate human biases.
