It’s almost a shame that the Trump administration is trying to shut down the Department of Education because Linda McMahon has been one of rhe best education secretaries ever.
The department notes that a significant amount of this fraud was more or less enabled by the Joe Biden administration, naturally.

The $1 billion in savings follows a massive overhaul of the system in 2025, which included the implementation of mandatory identity verification for all first-time federal student aid applicants.
According to the department, colleges and universities across the country reported being “under siege” by highly sophisticated fraud rings, prompting requests for the Trump administration to intervene.

After being asked what his “main criticism” is of President Trump, De Niro responded, “Everything.”

Pro tip for scammers: Don’t steal from a tip jar while the person who’s getting the tips is live-streaming. And don’t have a mother who knows she raised you better.
That’s, at least, allegedly the case with the man who took $30 from Muhsin Sarac, a Baltimore-based food vendor who broadcasts his work on streaming platform Twitch.
As shown in a video posted on March 27, a man came up to his hot dog stand and tried to rob him while pretending the cash was his.
After the customer asked for one with “everything,” Sarac got to work. Then, about two minutes into the video, the man took the money and said he was going back to his car for money, because he didn’t have enough to cover “extra everything.”
“Did he steal the money?” Sarac asked his audience on Twitch. “Did he steal or not, guys?”
He stole, all right.

As the New York Post noted, this left the vendor “short $30 and shaking his head at the audacity.”
“I think he stole the money. He stole like $20. Are you f***ing serious?” he asked.
He called the police, and law enforcement said they knew the man.
So did someone who was watching, somehow. Later on in the stream, a woman came up to the window.
“A little while ago, a young man came to your stand and took money out of your tip jar. I’m his mother,” she said.
She insisted on paying, but Sarac said it wasn’t necessary.
“No, I want to pay, because my son wasn’t raised like that,” she said. “My son drinks, and when he drinks, he does stupid stuff. I want to pay you back because you don’t deserve to be stolen from.”
“You’re here to do a service. I appreciate it. He took it from your tip jar; $30 goes back to your tip jar.”

Unfortunately, this man seems to have gone down a very dark path, particularly with the drink. It’s one thing if you’re destitute through no fault of your own. It would perhaps be understandable if that man had stolen a little bit of food or medicine out of desperation.
But this? This is a creep taking from a hardworking man. Period.
Most of the comments online involved the thief being “a low-life scumbag,” which was among the nicer things that could be said. And to be sure, he deserves the punishment that comes with this kind of activity. It won’t come, of course, because this is a liberal city, but a man can dream.
However, he has a good mom on his side, by the looks of things. And that, through the work of the Lord, can change a lot of things.
What we should focus on is the good in this world. We can’t control how our children turn out, but we can control what we do when they make a mistake.
If this young man has any chance in this world, it’s because he has a mom like that. Yes, he’s a little punk — but he doesn’t have to stay that way forever. This Easter weekend, pray that he doesn’t.

Prosecutors have described the scheme as the largest of its kind in the district’s history, involving shell companies, manipulated bidding processes, and deliberate efforts to conceal wrongdoing.
The details are not merely concerning—they are revealing. According to the complaint, the employee allegedly controlled the contract selection process, removed oversight personnel, and coordinated directly with the vendor to ensure favorable outcomes. 
At one point, messages cited by prosecutors indicate explicit awareness of wrongdoing, including instructions to delete communications and avoid detection.
This level of coordination does not occur in a system with strong safeguards. It occurs in a system where oversight mechanisms either fail or can be easily bypassed.
That reality leads to a broader question: how does a scheme of this scale operate for years inside one of the largest school districts in the country without being stopped?
The answer lies in governance. California’s political leadership, particularly under Gavin Newsom, has prioritized expanding public spending without implementing equally rigorous accountability structures. When billions of taxpayer dollars flow into large bureaucracies without strict enforcement, opportunities for fraud increase.
This case is a textbook example. 
The contracts in question were tied to a major student information system—an essential piece of infrastructure managing attendance, grades, and enrollment. These are not peripheral expenditures; they are core functions of the education system, funded directly by taxpayers with the expectation that the money will serve students.
Instead, according to prosecutors, millions were diverted for personal gain.
The implications extend far beyond a single criminal case. Every dollar lost to fraud is a dollar not spent on classrooms, teachers, or student resources. In a state where education outcomes already raise serious concerns, particularly in large urban districts, this kind of corruption compounds existing failures.
More importantly, the case exposes a broader pattern. California has repeatedly faced issues involving the misuse of public funds, whether in homelessness programs, unemployment benefits, or local government contracting.

A Walmart employee was stabbed to death on Tuesday night at the Arkansas Walmart Supercenter. Police said that it was a random attack.
Officers responded late Tuesday evening to reports of a male suspect stabbing a female employee, according to the Conway Police Department.
Officers responded very quickly and encountered the man, who they eventually identified as Zeddrick Ross, 37 years old. He was still in possession of a knife.

A Walmart employee was fatally stabbed during a late-night shift in a seemingly random attack, and the man told police he believed he was killing a “demon” that had been stalking him.
Officers were dispatched at about 10:58 p.m. Tuesday to reports of a man stabbing a female employee inside the Walmart Supercenter on U.S. 65, the Conway Police Department said.
Officers arrived within roughly a minute and encountered the suspect, later identified as 37-year-old Zeddrick Ross, still armed with a knife.
“Police said officers issued multiple commands for the man to drop the weapon, but he refused and advanced toward an officer. One officer fired a single shot that missed the suspect, and a second officer deployed a Taser.” Fox News Reported.
Police identified the victim as Jordanne Drinkwater, 32-years-old. Officers and medics provided emergency aid, but she died on scene.
Ross was arrested and is at Faulkner County Detention Center. He was charged with first-degree murder and is being held without bond. Officers said that no one else was harmed in the attack.
The investigation is still open, but authorities said that Ross did not know the victim, and he did not work at Walmart. It appeared to be a random attack.
Ross believed that he was being pursued by a demon and had a knife to protect himself.
He stabbed Drinkwater several times, thinking she was the demon that was following him. He later explained to the authorities that she did not resemble the demon or person that was stalking him.
Friends described Drinkwater as “an amazing human being.” Her friends called her by her nickname “Puff.”

America’s laws on birthright citizenship are undergoing fresh scrutiny thanks to two anchor babies who allegedly committed a startling crime.
As the Daily Wire reported, the children of two illegal alien Chinese parents allegedly brought an explosive device to MacDill Air Force Base Visitor’s Center in Tampa last week.
One of the siblings, 27-year-old Ann Zheng, has been arrested and charged for her part in the incident.
The DOJ alleges that the brother and sister duo “attempted to damage government property by fire or explosion.” Moreover, they accuse Ann Zheng of helping her brother, Alen Zheng “in order to hinder and prevent his apprehension, trial, and punishment.”
Ann Zheng was apprehended upon her return to the United States from China. Her brother remains at large.
Authorities suspect Alen Zheng is hiding out in China.
The parents of the two alleged terrorists, Qiu Qin Zou and Jia Zhang Zheng, illegally entered the U.S. roughly three decades ago. They were arrested by the Department of Homeland Security back on March 18 and remain in ICE custody.
Let’s just keep blindly giving citizenship to the children of any illegal alien from anywhere in the world. What could possibly go wrong?

NASA Press Secretary Bethany Stevens was on Newsmax’s “America Right Now” with host Tom Basile to talk about the Artemis II mission to the moon.
Artemis II is a 10-day mission sending four astronauts to fly around the far side of the moon and return safely to Earth. The crew consists of NASA Commander Reid Wiseman, Pilot Victor Glover, Mission Specialist Christina Koch, and Canadian Space Agency (CSA) Mission Specialist Jeremy Hansen.
“What is the mood there at Mission Control? And what are our astronauts up to today?” Basile asked.
“It is just a little bit until we are halfway through this mission,” Stevens said.
“Everyone is super ecstatic that we are well on our way to the moon as you all just mentioned, over halfway there at this point,” Stevens said.
“Hoping for tomorrow to be the time where we finally go around that dark side of the Moon, and go further into space than we ever have before,” Stevens continued.
“So, they are up there. They are more than halfway. They are doing some experiments, and they are also fixing things,” Basile said.
“How is the spacecraft operating? And how do you assess how well this new equipment is operating with people on board for the first time?” Basile asked.
“So, this is a test mission. It’s operating very well. We heard Dr. Lori Glaze, who is the head of our exploration systems, talk about just how well this is going after our translunar injection burn. She said that that was flawless,” Stevens explained.
“I know the Pilot of the mission Victor Glover, executed a manual maneuver yesterday which is very important, so that in our future missions, we are able to dock with lunar landers, land on the moon, etc. All of those are coming in ’27. In ’28, due to the President’s commitment to American space dominance and getting us back to the moon in 2028 before the Chinese intend to land prior to 2030,” Stevens explained.

Yesterday, four Washington County Sheriffs sued the State of WA, the State Legislature, and Governor Bob Ferguson, asking the court to block a blatantly unconstitutional new law that gives a newly formed, unelected state commission the power to end their careers without a vote, a recall, or a court order.
Of all the terrible bills the (other than their unconstitutional income tax) that Democrats passed in the 2026 legislative session. 2SSB 5974 may be the worst. Duly elected County Sheriffs, Police Chiefs, and Town Marshals are now subject to a state-appointed, unelected bureaucratic board and can be “decertified” and removed from office.

This is another blatantly unconstitutional and sinister Democrat bill, where over 50 Republican Amendments were not adopted! Under the law, its 21 commissioners are appointed by the Governor (who appoints them to six-year terms, with some staggered).
Spokane County Sheriff John Nowels, Pend Oreille County Sheriff Glenn Blakeslee, Stevens County Sheriff Brad Manke, and Ferry County Sheriff Ray Maycumber filed the complaint in the Superior Court of the State of Washington, in Pend Oreille County. A hearing on their motion for a preliminary injunction is scheduled for April 16.
The legal action comes with the consent and support of Spokane County Prosecuting Attorney Preston McCollam, Pend Oreille County Prosecuting Attorney Dolly Hunt, Stevens County Prosecuting Attorney Erika George, and Ferry County Prosecuting Attorney Michael Golden.
The sheriffs’ motion argues the governor and legislature “adopted a modern-day McCarthy loyalty oath in the form of 2SSB 5974,” calling it “not a close constitutional call but rather a flatly prohibited practice from a dark period of our country’s history that must never be resurrected.”

The four sheriffs released a joint statement to Protect the Constitutional Rights of Voters from Legislative Overreach, calling the law an attack on voter rights disguised as a professional standards upgrade.
Concealed beneath the misleading title that claims to modernize regulations concerning law enforcement leaders, lies a clearly Unconstitutional mechanism that centralizes power by stripping it from the people. An egregious consequence of this statute is that it undermines our democratic process by allowing an unelected board, appointed by the Governor, to decertify and remove an elected Sheriff, thereby overriding the will of the voters. Limiting the voice of the people in elections is contrary to state and federal law.
The Washington State Constitution Article 1, § 1, states “All political power is inherent in the people, and governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed, and are established to protect and maintain individual rights.”
Contrary to the misleading title of SB 5974, the process for the removal of an elected official does not need to be “improved”. Our state constitution expressly reserves the right of the people to select their elected officials. SB 5974 destroys the people’s inherent political power, guaranteed to them by the Constitution, and purposely shifts that power to an unelected board appointed by the Governor. Eliminating the voter’s voice is an attack on the very foundation of our representative government.
No other law enforcement leader is more directly accountable to the people they serve, nor are their qualifications more scrutinized than those of a Sheriff. At every election, the people have the right to determine if a Sheriff is qualified to represent them. SB 5974 is not about strengthening eligibility and professional standards; rather, under the cloak of “modernization,” it subverts the rights of voters and alters longstanding law governing a Sheriff’s ability to protect and serve their community.
In glaring irony, the state legislators who passed the new requirements for Sheriffs and the Governor who signed them into law placed no such restrictions on their own ability to hold office.
As elected Sheriffs, we swore an oath to support the Constitution and laws of the United States and the State of Washington, while serving and protecting the people of our Counties. Our oath is not just words spoken; it is the very core of our truly held beliefs, and a solemn promise we will not break. By taking this action today, we stand together, unwavering in our oath and steadfast in our commitment to protect the inherent rights of the communities we serve.
Many other county sheriffs are also blasting SB 5974 as “voter suppression.”

When he signed the bill into law, Ferguson acknowledged SB 5974 may need work: “I’ll be looking for ways if we can just improve that process a little bit as we go into next session, but it’s too early to say what those revisions might be.”
The Democrat bill passed the Senate 30 to 19 and the House 54 to 42. It takes effect April 30, just days before the May 4 election filing window opens. Sheriffs across the state would need to comply before they can even get on the 2026 ballot.
The National Sheriffs’ Association and the Western States Sheriffs’ Association have formally joined forces in opposition to the legislation, calling it “a direct attack on a constitutionally established office” and “an affront to the citizens who elect their sheriffs.” The Supremacy Clause makes clear that the U.S. Constitution and federal law prevail. A Sheriff’s sworn duty is to uphold them — even when doing so is politically inconvenient. No appointed board should have the authority to override the will of voters in fulfilling that constitutional obligation.
This bill also violates the U.S. Constitution, 14th Amendment (Due Process Clause): Removal via administrative decertification without sufficient procedural safeguards (e.g., no automatic court review before vacancy) deprives the duly elected officeholder of due process and overrides electoral will, Art IV, Sec 4 (Guarantee Clause), denies a Republican form of government by allowing unelected bureaucrats to nullify voter-elected officials, interfering with local democratic processes, and the 10th Amendment (Powers Reserved to States/People): Principles that protect the will of the people from state overreach.
Additionally, it violates the WA State Constitution Art I, Sec 1 “All political power is inherent in the people,” Art I, Sec 3: “No person shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law,” Art II, Sec 1 and related provisions on Elections/Recall: The bill adds decertification as a new cause for vacancy and circumvents the Constitutional Recall process (Art I, Sec 33) for elected officials, allowing removal without voter-initiated recall or impeachment-like proceedings. And Art XI, Sec 5 (County government; Sheriffs as Constitutional Officers): Sheriffs are elected county officers, elected by county voters.
Unelected boards are not authorized by the U.S. or State Constitutions to remove a duly elected sheriff via decertification, bypassing voter sovereignty and local control, overriding the people’s election without due process or voter input.
This is another carefully crafted WA State Democrat law that purposefully transfers power from counties to a centralized state authority to further control Leftist policies. The duly elected County Sheriff is vital for law enforcement and is also tasked with investigating election crimes.
Also, the bill creates an office vacancy without a voter recall or judicial process, and deprives voters of their right to choose local law enforcement leaders who best reflect their community interests, and deprives the people of their personal liberty and property interests.
The Sheriff belongs to the people of each county, not corrupt state bureaucrats and unelected boards! Let’s hope this blatantly unconstitutional law gets tossed by the courts!

The Mazzarella Clan suffers a setback with Roberto’s arrest.
Roberto Mazzarella was on the list of Italy’s most dangerous fugitives, accused of being the head of the Camorra Mazzarella clan, which controls organized crime in the Napoli region.
Italian authorities were searching for him since January 2025, when he escaped a European arrest warrant for murder aggravated by mafia-related offenses that was issued by the Court of Naples.
His fugitive days ended yesterday in a luxury resort in Vietri sul Mare, in the Salerno area, where Carabinieri arrested him.

“Mazzarella, 48, was fourth on the Ministry of the Interior’s list of the most dangerous fugitives (source in Italian). With this capture, the list of Italy’s so-called superlatitantes is reduced to three names: Attilio Cubeddu, Giovanni Motisi and Renato Cinquegranella.
