Democrat Rep. Madeleine Dean of Pennsylvania appeared on left-wing television this week and delivered the exact foreign policy talking points the Democrat Party has used for years: blame Trump, downplay Iran, and pretend weakness is a strategy.
During the interview, Dean claimed President Donald Trump had dragged America into what she called a “reckless” and “deadly” war with Iran. 
She accused Trump of acting “recklessly and ignorantly” and said the president entered a “war of his own making” without knowing how to get out of it.
That is an astonishing statement considering the threat posed by Iran.
Iran is the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism and has spent decades funding proxy groups, threatening Israel, destabilizing the Middle East, and chanting for the destruction of America and the West.
 This is the same regime that has pushed uranium enrichment to dangerous levels while claiming its nuclear program is peaceful.
The left wants Americans to believe Trump created this crisis. In reality, the crisis was created by years of appeasement, delay and fantasy diplomacy.
The Obama administration’s nuclear deal handed Iran access to billions in unfrozen assets while relying on a weak inspection system and promises from a regime that had every incentive to cheat. Democrats called that diplomacy.
Trump’s critics now call strength reckless because they cannot admit that their own foreign policy helped bring Iran to this point.
Dean also suggested Trump was somehow “goaded” into action by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. This is the same tired excuse Democrats use whenever they want to blame Israel for decisions made by the United States. 
Trump is not a puppet of Netanyahu, and America’s interest in stopping Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons exists with or without Israel.
The interview became even more ridiculous when Dean invoked American service members in the Middle East, claiming they were serving under a leader who “doesn’t know how to get out” of the conflict. 
Democrats had far less outrage when Joe Biden oversaw the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal, which ended with 13 American service members dead and America humiliated on the world stage.
Now, when Trump confronts Iran from a position of strength, Democrats suddenly pretend to be defenders of military caution.
The hypocrisy did not stop there. Dean and the host also connected the Iran conflict to gas prices and China, warning that America’s position had weakened. 
Yet these are the same Democrats who spent years attacking domestic energy production, opposing Trump’s tariff strategy, and criticizing nearly every hardline approach toward China.
They want strength against Beijing but oppose the policies that create leverage. They want lower gas prices but attack the energy policies that increase American supply. They want Iran contained, but criticize the president for being willing to actually contain Iran.
Trump understands something the foreign policy establishment has repeatedly forgotten: dictators do not respect weakness. Iran, China, and every other adversary watch what America does, not what Washington politicians say on cable news.
Democrats can call Trump reckless all they want. The real recklessness was allowing Iran to grow stronger for years while pretending paper agreements and press conferences could stop a terror regime from pursuing nuclear power.

California Gubernatorial candidate Steve Hilton was on “Sunday Morning Futures” with host Maria Bartiromo to talk about the race for governor.
“What can you tell us about your race right now?” Bartiromo asked.
“It’s a really big issue because there are really big costs now being put onto every Californian that healthcare costs are going up,” Hilton said.
“It takes longer and longer to wait for care wherever you go because of the overwhelming number of people who are coming who shouldn’t be here getting that care,” Hilton said.
“The taxes are going up. We pay the highest taxes in the country for the worst results,” Hilton continued.
“What do you get from all of those Democrats in the debate last week was more of the same, or even further left,” Hilton continued.
“That’s why I said right at the beginning of my campaign, no free healthcare for illegal immigrants. We got to get the budget down, spending down, so we can cut taxes,” Hilton continued.
“Your first hundred grand tax-free, a flat tax of 7.5 percent over a hundred grand, and we’ve got to implement the tax changes that the President has made at the national level,” Hilton explained.
“Here in California, Gavin Newsom is blocking no tax on tips. I said we would implement that as well. We’ve got to relieve the pain and the pressure, especially on working people and small businesses in California,” Hilton continued.
“How could he block no tax on tips when it’s in the federal, Big Beautiful Bill?” Bartiromo asked.
“It’s being implemented federally, but for state taxes, most other states have matched it either automatically, or they have passed legislation to match it in terms of state taxes, but California has not done that,” Hilton said.
“I’m in restaurants and bars the whole time talking to people who have got these totally escalating costs on everything. Highest gas prices in the country, electric bills that have doubled in the last 10 years, the highest housing costs and rents,” Hilton said.
“Everything off the charts expensive. So, you get a bit of relief there. In other states, no tax on tips for working people, but not in California. They want to keep more of your money,” Hilton continued.
“Right now, we are seeing this major interest from Republicans supporting you in California. Also, Spencer Pratt running for Mayor in Los Angeles. Could we see a wave of Republicans take over in California? Do you really think you can pull that off?” Bartiromo said.
“Yes. Look, it’s so bad here. I mean this is the point. Wherever you look, you’ve got the crime and chaos on the streets. The school results are a disaster. The economic situation is a disaster. Highest unemployment rate in the country. Highest poverty rate in the country. It’s just so bad after 16 years of one-party rule,” Hilton explained.

According to a report at The College Fix, “Canvas, the learning management software used on campuses across the country, experienced nationwide outages as a result of a major cyberattack Thursday, stalling final grades and postponing exams at Liberty University and other institutions.”
Canvas is an important platform used by many colleges, so this was likely a major inconvenience.
“Students who accessed the platform encountered a ransom note (pictured) from the hacking group ShinyHunters. The note threatened to leak personal information to the dark web if institutions did not negotiate settlements by the end of the day, May 12.”
The platform was back to normal by Friday despite the chaos that ensued up until then.
Yet again, we see how interconnected technology is and how certain technologies, while helpful, are also a double-edged sword.
“At Liberty, a private evangelical Christian institution in Virginia, students expressed worries about the impact that the outage would have on assignments and final semester grades.”
“I really wanted an A in my class, and now I can’t turn in a 200-point assignment,” sophomore Wes Richardson told The College Fix on Thursday during the outage. “And it’s kinda hitting me, I want my GPA to go up.”
Other schools impacted by this outage included “Harvard, MIT, Stanford,” and others.
“Shortly after the attack, some Liberty students reported seeing an alternative Canvas login page when accessing the site. University administrators warned students that the page could be fraudulent and urged them not to log in.”
At Liberty, finals were postponed, and security precautions were taken.
Hacking and Cyberterror remain threats to America and our schools, as is evident by this cyberbreach.
“The company Instructure told CBS News in a statement Friday that it took Canvas offline after realizing that hackers had “made changes to the pages that appeared when some students and teachers were logged in,” exploiting an issue related to its Free-For-Teacher accounts.”
“ShinyHunters is an extortion group with a history of breaching company websites and online databases via misconfigurations and AI-powered voice phishing attacks, according to an article at DC Control, a tech company. The group demands ransoms and leaks data on dark web forums if unpaid, totaling over 73 million records stolen, tech news site ZD NET reports.”
This underscores that our Infrastructure and cybersecurity remain vulnerable to hacking and breaches, both foreign and domestic.

Tennessee State Rep. Justin Jones appeared on MSNOW Sunday and delivered exactly the kind of racialized political rhetoric the modern left has made routine.
The interview centered on Tennessee Republicans’ redistricting push, which would split Memphis into multiple congressional districts and likely weaken the state’s only Democrat congressional seat. 
Democrats immediately framed the move as an attack on black voters, while Republicans argued the map was about politics, not race.
Redistricting is political by nature. Both parties use maps to gain power by controlling state legislatures. 
Democrats have done the same in states across the country. Massachusetts, for example, has no Republican congressional seats despite being less blue than Tennessee is red. Yet when Republicans act in their own political interest, Democrats suddenly discover a new moral crisis.
Jones did not merely criticize the map. He turned a partisan redistricting fight into a sweeping accusation of racial terror.
During the interview, Jones claimed Republicans were carrying out “policy violence” and compared Tennessee’s GOP lawmakers to the “children of Jim Crow,” Bull Connor and George Wallace. 
At one point, he said a Republican leader had “taken off the white hood” but still had the same intentions as those who came before him.
That kind of language is not normal political disagreement. It is a dangerous attempt to paint Republican lawmakers as Klansmen because they support a congressional map Democrats dislike.
The MSNOW host leaned into the same narrative, repeatedly connecting the redistricting debate to Tennessee’s civil rights history, the Ku Klux Klan, Jim Crow and the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. 
The segment treated a legislative map dispute as though America had returned to its darkest periods.
That comparison is offensive to the actual civil rights movement.
Jim Crow involved state-enforced segregation, literacy tests, poll taxes, racial violence, and the legal exclusion of black Americans from public life. 
Tennessee’s current redistricting fight involves district lines, partisan advantage, and electoral strategy. Black Tennesseans still have the same right to vote as every other Tennessean. 
Their preferred party may lose power under the new map, but losing partisan influence is not the same as being stripped of civil rights.
Jones also tried to connect the issue to school choice, accusing Republicans of “defunding” public education. That argument ignores the reality that many black families in failing public school systems benefit most from charter schools, vouchers, and education freedom. 
When public schools fail children year after year, giving parents more options is not racism. It is common sense.
The left’s strategy is clear: view every issue through race, declare every Republican policy racist, and accuse half the country of wanting to bring back Jim Crow.
Jones ended the interview by calling for disruption, saying democracy sometimes requires breaking decorum and putting “morals above manners.” That rhetoric may sound powerful to MSNOW viewers, but in practice, it lowers the temperature of nothing and inflames everything.
America does not need more politicians comparing routine political fights to the KKK. 
America needs leaders who can debate maps, schools, and elections without turning every disagreement into a racial emergency.

According to a report at The College Fix, “Admissions offices are sifting through college essays and working to find black students without drawing legal challenges, guests on a recent National Public Radio segment admitted.”
This practice is discrimination, yet some colleges proudly engage in this practice.
There’s even a racial code language, according to this report.
“In college admission, trauma is shorthand for blackness,” National Public Radio reported as part of its “Code Switch” show focused on racial identity issues.”
In this National Public Radio report, “Host Gene Demby interviewed former Georgetown University admissions officer Aya Waller-Bey for the April 25 episode.”
“Waller-Bey recently completed her doctorate in sociology at the University of Michigan, where she studied “how Black students make sense of racialized expectations to narrate trauma in college personal statements,” according to her bio.”
In addition to the coded language used, they admitted to continued affirmative action and racial preference.
“Admissions officers are looking through essays for stories about being “first-gen” or “low-income,” Waller-Bey said. That is because schools are trying to figure out a way around the 2023 Supreme Court ruling that affirmed racial discrimination in higher education is illegal.”
Admissions then “advocates” for particular students based on race.
This is very racist and illegal, but they are boasting about engaging in anti-white and anti-Asian discrimination.
Waller Bey then implied that even that is racist against Black people, asking “black students and other groups to talk about their pain is itself painful.”(As if no other races and ethnic groups have gone through trauma)
She then said this trauma “is often incredibly valuable for organizations and institutions.”
Either way, the Supreme Court has found these racial preference admissions to be unconstitutional. Fairness and colorblind admissions are the opposite of racism.
The Left and many colleges that teach leftist indoctrination continue to defy the law and give certain groups preferential treatment.

Municipal government is usually defined by procedure, paperwork, and painfully slow decision-making.
Not in the small town of Cohutta, Georgia.
In the span of a little over a week, the town went from a workplace mediation involving the mayor’s wife, to the firing of the entire police department, to an emergency public meeting that reinstated every officer almost as quickly as they had been dismissed.
According to WRCB-TV, the issue originally began between local officers and Cohutta Mayor Ron Shinnick’s wife.
Several officers had filed complaints about Shinnick’s wife, Pam, who had previously been relieved from her duties as town clerk for creating a hostile work environment.
The officers alleged that Pam still had access to private town information and other sensitive data.
This would eventually lead to formal mediation resolving the matter, and the town attorney assuring the local police officers that their jobs were not in any sort of danger.
About a week later, by Wednesday morning, Shinnick had dissolved the entire department.

When asked by WDEF-TV about the abrupt nature of the dissolution — and whether he was concerned about the livelihoods of these officers — Shinnick largely waved both concerns off.
“Well, I don’t think it’s that dire at all,” he said. “They’ll get a paycheck. We’re not that way, and I appreciate their service, okay? It is time for a change.”
Shinnick further compared the chaotic ordeal to sports: “It’s a guy thing. You know, occasionally, college football programs, you have to change the coach, and some people like it, some don’t. And that’s just kind of the way it happens sometimes, you know?”
That mayor’s words didn’t land with many of the officers.
“The citizens and the constituents of Cohutta are going to suffer in response because of the retaliation from the mayor, due to the fact that we brought to light about his spouse still working after she was terminated,” said Sgt. Jeremy May. “This all comes to personal vendetta from the mayor, and I wholeheartedly believe that.”
Well, the citizens and the constituents of Cohutta refused to suffer for very long, as the town had called a special meeting for Friday evening.
And as WRCB notes, the entire police force was reinstated (a nearby town’s police department had temporarily aided Cohutta while they had been suspended) swiftly.
Interestingly, Shinnick is still Cohutta mayor, though the calls for an investigation into his actions are growing.

Senator Dave McCormick was on “Sunday Morning Futures” with host Maria Bartiromo to talk about President Trump’s policies that have led to US energy dominance.
“Senator, you have been working on a bill on permitting,” Bartiromo commented.
“The President put several executive orders in place to cut down regulations, make it easier for the oil companies to drill, baby drill,” Bartiromo said.
“What do you want to say about this bill and the likelihood that in fact it does get these things codified?” Bartiromo asked.
“There is an energy dominance, you know, a moment of abundance happening in America based on what President Trump has done,” McCormick commented.
Senator McCormick explained that President Trump’s policies have made the US a net energy exporter. He cited an example: a plant converting from coal to a gas-fired plant will be able to generate a massive amount of energy to help meet demand.
“I just saw over the last couple of days. I went to Homer City. They are in the process of transitioning a coal fire plant to a gas fire plant that will create 4.5 gigawatts. The biggest project in the country today. That’s one percent of all of America’s energy demand,” McCormick explained.
“We are becoming a huge net energy exporter, and you can’t say AI without saying energy dominance too. So, this is incredible for the people of Pennsylvania, it’s incredible for America,” McCormick commented.
“The President’s agenda has to be solidified, and we need permitting reform to do that. It takes about six years to get an energy project permit. It took three and a half years to win World War II,” McCormick continued.
The Senator explained that his bill will help put energy permitting on the fast track for energy companies.
“We can do a lot better than this, so my bill essentially restricts the amount of time for review to about a year. Ensures that once decisions are made, they are final, and regulators have to give justification if they turn down a project,” McCormick explained.
“If we can do these things, we are gonna unleash 1.5 trillion dollars of capital into our economy. It’s not just energy policy, it’s economic policy,” McCormick continued.
“It sure is, and national security policy I would say as well,” Bartiromo commented.

Angry Hillary/DNC lawyer Marc Elias erupted on MSNOW after taking a massive loss in the redistricting wars.
Alabama on Friday filed an emergency appeal at the Supreme Court asking the high court to allow it to throw out its current rigged congressional map.
Alabama’s request to toss out its racist, gerrymandered congressional map comes after the Supreme Court last month declared Louisiana’s newly-drawn Congressional map an unconstitutional gerrymander.
The case, State of Louisiana v. Phillip Callais (and the related Press Robinson v. Phillip Callais), stems from Louisiana’s woke lawmakers caving to left-wing judges and creating a second “majority-minority” congressional district.
Louisiana delayed its May 16 House primaries last Thursday after the Supreme Court’s blockbuster ruling.
On Thursday, Tennessee became the ninth state to approve a new congressional map amid the redistricting wars.
Tennessee’s Republicans passed the new map that eliminates the state’s only majority-black district in Memphis.
Tennessee Governor Bill Lee signed the new map into law.
Marc Elias fumed during an appearance on MSNOW and lashed out at the Supreme Court.
“I’ve not heard you this angry in a long time… share with us how this scrambles your workload,” MSNOW host Nicolle Wallace asked Marc Elias.
“Have we learned nothing?” Marc Elias shouted.
“Have people not learned that when you do this to black voters it turns out bad for democracy for everybody?” he said.

The information war is raging.
While the US and Iran may – or may not – be about to embark in a peace process to end the military confrontations, a key character in this geopolitical crisis continues operating – or being operated on – from the shadows.
Son of the killed Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei is reportedly playing a critical role in Iran’s war strategy – even though no one has seen him since the first day of US-Israel strikes on Tehran.
The New York Post is reporting, from US intelligence sources:
“Khamenei, 56, is believed to be directing Iran’s negotiations with the US from his unknown hideout, multiple sources familiar with US intelligence reports about him told CNN, despite being badly disfigured and having lost a leg during the US and Israeli strikes that started the war. 
The new supreme leader was previously described as still ‘mentally sharp’ by people close to his inner circle, who said he was meeting with senior Islamic Republic officials and helping to make decisions on the Pakistani-mediated peace talks.
Khamenei — who US intel believes is ‘probably gay’, despite leading a nation where homosexuality is outlawed — has yet to be seen or heard since he was appointed as his father’s successor in March.”

But Iranian officials say Mojtaba Khamenei suffered from a ‘small scratch’ behind the ear, having suffered injuries to his kneecap and back, but is in ‘full health’.
The Telegraph reported:
“Khamenei has not been seen publicly since the strike on the Tehran compound of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, his late father, on Feb 28.
He was reportedly not in the same building as his father, who was killed. The New York Times had reported that Khamenei’s face had required plastic surgery and that he was awaiting a prosthetic leg.
But in Iran’s first public comments on his injuries, the Fars News agency said: ‘[His] back injury has improved during this period, and the kneecap injury will soon heal as well. He is in full health’.
As for his facial injuries, Mazaher Hosseini, the director general of protocol at the office of the supreme leader, said there was only a ‘small crack behind the ear’.”
