Female staffers at CNN are threatening to quit their jobs if Don Lemon isn’t fired over his “sexist” remarks about Nikki Haley, according to a new report.
Lemon sparked outrage after he asserted that women in their 50s are “past their prime” while discussing Haley, who is 51.
The blowback was swift — and Lemon was noticeably absent from the morning show on Monday.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, a source within CNN told them, “people are hurt by his actions and are not going to let this go. It is like every woman over 50 in America has taken this as a personal insult. The female staffers at CNN definitely have. He needs to make his vacation a permanent one.”
A second source reportedly told the paper, “the women of CNN are angry. He’s made it impossible to do their jobs. He’s an embarrassment to the network and needs to go.”
Poppy Harlow was so upset about the comments that she reportedly stormed off the set.
“Don has been skating on thin ice for so long and many wanted him fired in December when he freaked out on Kaitlin Collins for no reason,” a source told the Mail. “She was in tears and it was so inappropriate.”
“Regardless of his political affiliation, his comments that Nikki Haley being past her prime were disgusting. Poppy was fuming, as she should be, and still is.”
When approached by the Mail about female staffers threatening to quit, a CNN spokesperson declined to comment on the issue.
The paper asked another spokesperson for the network if it was true that Don Lemon is being inched towards the exit door in the wake of this latest scandal.
The spokesperson said, “it is patently false to say Don is being pushed to resign.”
However, the Mail’s insiders maintain that the uproar is not quieting down.
“CNN has been literally, flooded like a tidal wave with extremely angry and offended loyal viewers,” one of the tipsters said. “There is not one person at CNN who that thinks that he should remain on air. He knows how badly he screwed up and he also knows that he cannot talk his way out of this one. His apology meant nothing.”
CNN’s Chairman Chris Licht has called Lemon’s comments “upsetting, unacceptable and unfair to his co-hosts, and ultimately a huge distraction to the great work of this organization.”
Once he realized the extent of the outrage, Lemon apologized.
“I’m sorry I don’t mean to hurt anyone. I did not mean to offend anyone,” he said during an editorial call with the network’s staff. “What I said came out wrong and I wish I hadn’t said it. I believe women of any age can do anything they set their minds to. The people I am closest to in this organization are women,”
The staff has reportedly not accepted the apology.

MSNBC’s Yasmin Vossoughian revealed to her viewers last month that she had been missing for a while because she developed myocarditis and pericarditis allegedly due to a common cold.
“I know from my Twitter feed that many of you have wondered why I have been off the air for a little while. Well, I have been dealing with a little bit of a health scare,” Vossoughian told her viewers.
The newscaster said that she first experienced chest pains back in December 2021 and that they “waxed and waned over the period of ten days.”
Initially, the doctor thought she was experiencing reflux.
“I wasn’t quite sure what to make of it, but as they continued to get worse, I started to think something was actually wrong. It was December 30 when I finally went to an Urgent Care and was told I had reflux,” she said.
“I didn’t really buy it, but I was relieved it wasn’t my heart. My body, though, was pretty certain not to believe the reflux. The next day on December 30th, I woke up with severe pains, both in my chest and in my left shoulder. And it was like a tightening in my chest when I took deep breaths that got worse when I was laying flat,” she added.
She was immediately rushed to the emergency room by her husband. “And from there, the nightmare that has been my January began,” she said.
According to Vossoughian, she was diagnosed with pericarditis which was allegedly caused by a common cold.
“I was diagnosed with pericarditis, inflammation of the lining of my heart brought on by a virus, a literal common cold,” she said. “I also had fluid around my heart that had to be drained, or else it could hinder the beating of my heart.”
She was hospitalized for four nights before she was discharged.
However, she was readmitted to the hospital with myocarditis (inflammation of the heart muscle) three days later after she had what she described as a “flutter in my heart like a butterfly” and stayed there for another five nights while undergoing a “battery” of tests before being released.
Vossoughian is still in disbelief at her current health situation, saying that she was a healthy person and that she had a pretty healthy lifestyle.
“I want to remind you I run 7 miles three to four times a week. I do yoga. I don’t eat meat. I don’t smoke. I drink occasionally. Aside from probably not getting enough sleep and working too much, I’m a pretty healthy person,” she said.
According to her Twitter, Yasmin Vossoughian had received her COVID vaccine.

MSNBC’s Yasmin Vossoughian recently had her doctor, Dr. Greg Katz, to address the link between the common cold and heart problems.
Dr. Katz claimed that the alarming increase in people having heart problems due to the common cold is baffling. He claimed that it’s rare, but it’s not rarest.
“I know the answer to a lot, but not this one… I certainly don’t know, and I don’t think that anybody really knows. ,” Dr. Katz said.
“Maybe our immune systems are a little bit different than they were because we’ve been masking and social distancing for a couple of years,” he continued.

Yasmin: What happened? Everybody asks me how does a cold go to your heart?
Dr. Katz: So it’s not so much the cold itself that’s going to your heart, it’s the way your body is responding to the cold. And your immune system for most of us, just takes a couple of days to clear the virus and we have the standard runny nose, sore throat, that kind of stuff and it’s self limited and it goes away. But for a small proportion of people, they get an overactive immune response and they can have inflammation in lots of different areas. The inflammation of the saclike [tissue in the] heart, pericarditis, like you first were dealing with, is an unfortunate thing that we see sometimes. We’ve been seeing it a little bit more this year than in other years, but it’s not unheard of. It’s rare, but it’s not the rarest.
Yasmin: Are there some people that are more likely to develop a situation like this than others?
Dr. Katz: I wish I knew the answer to that.
Yasmin: But you know the answer to so much.
Dr. Katz: I know the answer to a lot, but not this one. And anybody tells you that’s either misleading them or misleading themselves. But truthfully, there’s some conditions like lupus or other autoimmune conditions where people can get this related to that disease. But the overactive immune response to a virus is very unpredictable and it happens to you like to happen to anybody.
Yasmin: While I was dealing with this inflammation, we also tried to figure out if anything else was going on, and thank God nothing else was going on. But you talk about how you’ve seen more of this kind of anecdotally. I know there’s not a lot of scientific data to back that up, but especially kind of post-COVID, post-lockdown, we’re in a different era of diseases and how our bodies are responding.
Dr. Katz: I mean, nobody knows exactly why this is and whether this is a standard blip or whether my anecdotal experience is a little bit skewed, but it could be the season is a little bit more virus heavy than usual. Maybe our immune systems are a little bit different than they were because we’ve been masking and social distancing for a couple of years. I certainly don’t know, and I don’t think that anybody really knows. But it’s definitely the kind of thing that you want to be aware of what the symptoms are so that you can seek medical attention if you really needed.

James O’Keefe delivered remarks Monday morning at Project Veritas.
O’Keefe made it clear Monday night that he didn’t resign.
“I need to make clear I have not resigned from the company, Project Veritas, I founded 13 years ago. I was stripped of my position as CEO and Chairman.” O’Keefe said.
“I came to the PV office today to remove my personal belongings,” he said.
O’Keefe signed off with a cryptic message.
“If you’re wondering what’s next, stay tuned…’ he said.

Project Veritas Board of Directors released a statement after ousting O’Keefe.
“Today, James O’Keefe decided to remove his belongings from Project Veritas headquarters,” the board said in the statement. “The Board and Management made numerous attempts in the last 14 days to have a conversation with James, but he ignored our outreach and decided to instead leak private information to others, either by doing so himself or by proxy.”
The board claimed that “although PV Leadership has not concluded looking into the full scale of financial issues over the years, a preliminary review at this time indicates that James has spent an excessive amount of donor funds in the last three years on personal luxuries. More is still being uncovered during the ongoing review at this time. Contrary to many reports from today, James was suspended indefinitely pending the resolution of a fulsome investigation and clarity which will need to be provided by a third party investigative audit report.”

Dog whisperers may be out of a job soon.
Scientific American has reported scientists are using “advanced sensors and artificial intelligence technology to observe and decode how a broad range of species, including plants, already share information with their own communication methods.”
The magazine’s report was backed by data from Karen Bakker, the author of How Digital Technology Is Bringing Us Closer to the Worlds of Animals and Plants.
In Bakker’s book she writes about the future of digital bioacoustics which is the field of communicating with animals and plants by using technology such as AI.
Bakker believes interspecies communication is right around the corner if we “combine digital listening—which is opening up vast new worlds of nonhuman sound and decoding that sound with artificial intelligence—with deep listening.”

Using AI to talk to computers is mind-bending enough, but using AI to talk to animals seems almost more revolutionary.

 Scientific American broke down the science behind interspecies communication:
Digital bioacoustics relies on very small, portable, lightweight digital recorders, which are like miniature microphones that scientists are installing everywhere from the Arctic to the Amazon. You can put these microphones on the backs of turtles or whales. You can put them deep in the ocean, [put them] on the highest mountaintop, attach them to birds. And they can record sound continuously, 24/7, in remote places where scientists cannot easily reach, even in the dark and without the disruption that comes from introducing human observers in an ecosystem.
That instrumentation creates a data deluge, and that is where artificial intelligence comes in—because the same natural language processing algorithms that we are using to such great effect in tools such as Google Translate can also be used to detect patterns in nonhuman communication.

The WEF seems to be excited about the idea of communicating with animals by using AI and wrote an article about the Earth Species Project which is a non-profit  is developing machine learning ecology to decode animal communications by tracing back patterns to ecology research.

Earlier today Axios reported that House Speaker McCarthy handed over 41,000 hours of Jan 6 Capitol footage to Tucker Carlson at FOX News.
On Monday night Tucker Carlson made an announcement on the news. Speaker Kevin McCarthy gave Tucker Carlson and his team unfettered access to over 44,000 hours of January 6 footage.
Tucker will cover their findings next week.
Tucker Carlson: We’ve been complaining about, and we think it’s justified. The fact that the US Congress has held thousands, tens of thousands of hours of closed circuit camera footage from the public. They have not released any of it from January 6. And January 6, of course, is a transformative event in this country. It’s been used to change the country.
So there are about 44,000. It ours. And we have you may have read they’ve been granted access to that, and we believe that access is unfettered. We believe we have secured the right to see whatever we want to see. So we’ve been there about a week.
Our producers, some of our smartest producers have been there looking at this stuff and trying to figure out what it means and how it contradicts or not the story that we’ve been told for more than two years. We think already that in some ways it doesn’t does contradict that story. Joe Biden made a semi-coherent speech in Kiev and may do an encore on Tuesday in Poland. I am confident he will display the same muddled thoughts and tangled syntax if he gets to a podium. Winston Churchill can rest in peace. Compared to Churchill, Biden’s oratory skills remind one of a chattering, grinning baboon. I wonder if the bookies in Vegas or London are offering odds on how many times he shouts and how many times he whispers in one speech? Got to admit it. The following furry fellow displays more charm and warmth than sleepy Joe.

Which brings me to Putin. He ain’t monkeying around. His much anticipated speech to both houses of the Russian parliament and to the military leadership will stand in stark contrast to the mumblings of Joe Biden. One subject where Biden is likely to break new ground is Russia’s future military alliance with China. Up to now Russia and China have participated in joint-exercises but, like a couple in the early stages of dating, they have not decided to tie the knot and get hitched. Not until now. The courting period may be ending and the dawn of a Russian/Chinese military alliance may be at hand.
Why do I say this? I am reading the tea leaves of leaks from the Biden team. This CNN piece is a prime example:

The US has recently begun seeing “disturbing” trendlines in China’s support for Russia’s military and there are signs that Beijing wants to “creep up to the line” of providing lethal military aid to Russia without getting caught, US officials familiar with the intelligence told CNN.
The officials would not describe in detail what intelligence the US has seen suggesting a recent shift in China’s posture, but said US officials have been concerned enough that they have shared the intelligence with allies and partners at the Munich Security Conference over the last several days.
Secretary of State Antony Blinken raised the issue when he met with his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, on Saturday on the sidelines of the conference, officials said.
“The Secretary was quite blunt in warning about the implications and consequences of China providing material support to Russia or assisting Russia with systematic sanctions evasion,” a senior State Department official told reporters.
Vice President Kamala Harris also alluded to China’s support for Russia during her speech in Munich.
Would China entertain entering such an alliance? I think it is a distinct possibility. I want to direct you to a piece in The Diplomat from March of 2022, 3 Possible Futures for China-Russia Military Cooperation, After the Ukraine war, will China maintain, expand, or scale back its military cooperation with Russia? by Brian Waidelich. Mr. Waidlich presents three scenarios. Two of those scenarios conclude that China will stick with the status quo or that Russian and Chinese ties could weaken. It is his third scenario that caught my eye:
Future 3: Cooperation Is Markedly Strengthened
Unlike the two scenarios above, a future of strengthened China-Russia military cooperation may have less to do with the way the Ukraine conflict plays out and more to do with China’s perception of threats in the Indo-Pacific. Such a future would see the United States and its allies increasingly united in their rhetoric and actions aimed at pressuring China over its declared interests in areas such as Taiwan, the Senkaku/Diaoyu Islands, and disputed islands in the South China Sea. China may find it beneficial to visibly strengthen its military ties with Russia if it believes the chances of an Indo-Pacific conflict are growing and that military cooperation with Russia could enhance its deterrence messaging against the U.S. and its allies.
Kudos to Mr. Waidlich. China clearly faces increased threats from the U.S. and its European allies. Waidlich goes on to sketch out what he believes a more cooperative relationship would look like:

Enhanced technical cooperation, to potentially include ongoing Chinese purchases of Russian arms and an expansion of joint development projects on platforms that incorporate key Russian technologies (e.g., submarines). Amid expanded cooperation in this area, China may seek to pressure Russia to reduce its arms sales to countries with which China has territorial disputes, such as India and Vietnam.
Expanded combined exercises that exhibit greater frequency, scale, and complexity. Combined exercises could continue to feature high-end warfighting topics like anti-submarine warfare and anti-surface warfare and potentially expand to joint exercises with multiple military services.
More targeted combined patrols, to include air and maritime patrols around Japan and possibly other U.S. allies — or the United States itself. Chinese military ships and aircraft have in recent years demonstrated capabilities to operate at increasingly distant ranges in the Pacific.
More frequent key leader exchanges, during which leaders articulate shared assessments of the security environment and determination to support each other’s interests. Related readouts would continue to affix blame on the U.S. and its allies for geostrategic instability from Eastern Europe through Asia.

 
I would add one more possibility — a mutual defense pact. No more making out in the back seat of the car at the drive in (I know, I date myself with that one). Russia and China could decide to get married and climb into bed. The bellicose language that the U.S. routinely hurls at China is taken seriously in Beijing. The American belligerence directed at the Chinese cannot be excused as unintended speech caused by slamming too many whiskeys at the corner bar. It is not just Biden. American politicians, journalists and average citizens speak openly of China as “our enemy.” Two years ago a poll revealed that:
Nearly half of Americans now say China is the greatest enemy of the United States—more than double the percentage who said likewise just last year, according to a survey conducted by Gallup.
Since rift between China and America has widened into a yawning chasm. Have we reached the point where the Chinese leadership are going to acknowledge this fact and take steps to defend themselves? The war in Ukraine and the West’s extravagant support to keep the war going, by supplying both funds and weapons, has not gone unnoticed in Beijing. The verbal attacks on China in the wake of the weather/”spy” balloon have added to the already tense relations between Washington and Beijing.

In the past three months, three teachers at Thomasville Primary School in North Carolina have died “suddenly and unexpectedly,” according to social media messages from friends and family as well as an obituary.
The school said, “each teacher had different and unique health concerns that contributed to their passing,” FOX 8 News reported.
Andrea White-Hunter, a second-grade teacher, died on Nov. 14, 2022. Details of her death are unknown out of respect for the bereaved families. Eva Shetley, a kindergarten teacher, “died very suddenly” on Jan. 13. Terry Register, a second-grade teacher, died in his sleep on Saturday, February 11.
According to a social media post, 65-year-old  Eva Shetley “died very suddenly.”
“My son-in-law Colby Shetley’s grandma’s funeral was today Eva Shetley was only 65 years old and died very suddenly,” according to the Facebook post. “There was awesome testament to the ki d of wonderful woman she was and not just to her family. There wasn’t even standing room left at the church and there was a profession of probably at least 100 cars. The school that she taught at even dismissed early so everyone could go. Even the teachers that had retired was there. She was a amazing women.”

According to Terry Register’s obituary, the 49-year-old teacher died while he was sleeping.
“Terry “T.J.” Thomas Register, 49, of Thomasville passed away on the morning of February 11, 2023 while T.J. was sleeping. The Lord looked down on T.J. and said to Terry, son I know you are tired and said to him, come with me and rest,” his obituary reads.
Thomasville Primary School issued a statement on the deaths of the three teachers, via FOX 8 News.
“Our crisis team and counselors from across our district were on site in each instance and stayed for as long as needed to ensure the needs of students and staff were met. On Friday, February 17, 2023 Thomasville Primary School will be on a remote instruction day. This will allow us to provide important resources for our school staff, our students and our families. There will be opportunities throughout the day on Friday, February 17th for students, families and our staff to engage with the resources being made available by many of our community partners. Our entire community is rallying around the school and our district and we appreciate the love and support of all those around us during this difficult time.”

The Project Veritas Board of Directors has released a statement after ousting founder James O’Keefe and losing over 100,000 followers on Twitter.
Project Veritas’ follower count dropped by over 130,000 people in the hours following the news that O’Keefe had been removed from the company.

Early reports had indicated that O’Keefe resigned, but in a speech before the staff, he explained that he had been removed by the board.
“Today, James O’Keefe decided to remove his belongings from Project Veritas headquarters,” the board said in the statement. “The Board and Management made numerous attempts in the last 14 days to have a conversation with James, but he ignored our outreach and decided to instead leak private information to others, either by doing so himself or by proxy.”
The board claimed that “although PV Leadership has not concluded looking into the full scale of financial issues over the years, a preliminary review at this time indicates that James has spent an excessive amount of donor funds in the last three years on personal luxuries. More is still being uncovered during the ongoing review at this time. The board listed several financial concerns, including the cost of using black cars.
“James also left us no choice but to suspend him in the last few weeks when he unilaterally fired the CFO, who can only be fired with Board approval,” the statement continued. “That is a violation of our non-profit’s bylaws. James went as far as to say that a Board member had approved this firing to others, but it was later discovered that it was not the case. That member did not approve the firing. The Board approved James’ suspension so it would have time to properly investigate these internal infractions.”
“James claims that the Board did not allow him to send an apology letter to the staff, which is not true. The Board never told James he was not to speak with staff members, nor that he could not apologize to them,” the statement continued. “But, more than anything, the Board cares about the donors of this organization, who decide to donate their hard-earned money to us because they believe in the mission. We could not allow for our donors to send us money and have it be misappropriated in such a way. We love our supporters, and we would never sit idly by as money is being used for matters that are not mission related.”
The board asserted that “even with all of this public fallout, the Board still wants to speak with James. We did not fire him, nor do we want him to resign. We would like to continue conversations with James to resolve internal matters rather than litigate them publicly.”
“Project Veritas will continue to be transparent with the public as more information can be released over time. The fight for truth will never stop.”
O’Keefe told a very different story in his speech about what happened.

O’Keefe said that on February 10th, he was indefinitely suspended from the board of directors during a meeting. By this time, they had also stripped him of authority as CEO.
“So what changed in the last three weeks?” O’Keefe asked in the video.
“THE ONLY THING THAT HAS CHANGED is that we broke the biggest story in our organization’s history during the last week of January in 2023,” he said. “With 50+ million views, our video became a global phenomenon – it was about Pfizer and one of their directors discussing mutating the COVID virus. Our confrontation video, where he locked me in a pizza restaurant in Brooklyn, called the cops, and smashed our equipment, also became a phenomenon and was riveting television for audiences glued to their screens, where 10s of millions more shared that video. Outlets in India and China covered the story, and our social media exploded like never before. Our employees and board members Twitter accounts also exploded with new followers after the story. Pfizer even put out a non-denial denial, where they basically admitted they were mutating the virus, albeit Pfizer buried this admission in the legalese jargon of an official corporate statement. Still, it was extraordinary Pfizer responded to our story with an admission!”
“THAT – is the only thing that has changed. Then suddenly, an unusual emergency happened just a few days after the story,” he continued.
O’Keefe said that it is impossible to remain CEO with no authority or role on the board.
“I can’t be a CEO with no authority and without a position on the board, I wasn’t sure if I even had a role left at Project Veritas. I’m not sure what my job here is,” O’Keefe said. “Five days later, on February 15th, a statement was put out saying ‘James has not been removed from Project Veritas… James is the hardest working person I’ve ever met.’ Those who know him well know he will not take time off unless forced to.”
“I was asked to be gone until the 20th — it is now the 20th. I asked the board to resign for their conduct, but they did not,” O’Keefe said. “So currently, I have no position at PV based on the board’s actions.”
“So, I’m announcing to you all that today on President’s day — I’m packing up my personal effects from headquarters, and I’m intending to start anew,” he said. “I don’t have answers to why they’ve been doing what they’ve been doing, or why board members were going directly to employees to collect a list of grievances on the week of our biggest story ever. Or why our board members were going to employees directly to discuss removing me from Project Veritas – on the same week of our biggest story of all time.”
He continued, “I’m confident those reasons and motivations will come to light. To borrow an old expression, the public has a right to know the motivation for seeking out these grievances about me, and why there was a concerted effort to remove myself from Project Veritas in the same week of the biggest story we had ever broke.”

Edward Snowden has called out Elon Musk after his wife, Lindsay Mills, was locked out of her Twitter account for sharing a baby photo.
In the photo, Mills appears to be topless and holding the naked baby, but nothing is revealed other than the baby’s bottom.

In another tweet, Snowden wrote, “Does this look like pornography to you, @ElonMusk ? If you have a machine handing out bans for pictures that could be on a Hallmark Card, it’s time to dial back the algorithm. Just my opinion.”
In a follow-up, Snowden claimed that he was also shadowbanned after tweeting the photo.

“This post has absolutely broken my TL. The tweet shows 800 replies now, but when I click ‘view replies,’ it only shows 3. All others are hidden,” Snowden added.  “This is wild. Mills’ account has since been restored.
