The Committee on Oversight and Accountability held its second oversight hearing on Tuesday, inviting Mayor Bowser and U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, Matthew Graves, to answer questions regarding the city’s rising crime rate.
D.C. Police Chief Robert Contee, and D.C. City Administrator Kevin Donahue were also present at the hearing.
The House GOP blasted DC U.S. Attorney and January 6 lead prosecutor Matthew Graves for his low prosecution rate on real criminals, while at the same time abusing his office by deliberately prosecuting non-violent protestors from January 6.
The US Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia declined to prosecute 67% of cases last year.
According to the DC Police Chief, people who were charged with murder have been arrested on average 11 times before committing homicide.
When asked by Rep. Jake LaTurner (R-KS) how many alleged criminals he declined to prosecute went on to commit murder, DC’s U.S. Attorney Matthew Graves said he has no idea.

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) sets the record straight and lambasted Graves for being soft on crime.
“Why are you bringing only a third of the cases brought to you? Why is the DC Police Chief Contee literally calling bullshit on your excuses for not prosecuting 67% of arrests? Was he fear-mongering?” said Mace.

Rep. Greene introduced Articles of Impeachment against Graves for refusing to prosecute real criminals in the District.
“The time for weaponizing the Department of Justice needs to come to an end. And because you refuse to prosecute real criminals that are violating all the crimes here in Washington, DC,” said Greene.
“And you want to talk about DC residents? They are victims of your abuse of power. And because of that, I am introducing articles of impeachment on you, Mr. Graves,” she added.

Graves is obsessed with prosecuting nonviolent January 6 protestors.
“Graves, your office has declined to prosecute 67% of those arrested in 2022. Which means they can’t stay in jail like Chief Contee is demanding after his police officers do the hard work of arresting these criminals. Instead, you are solely focused on prosecuting January 6 cases from one single day in our history. Meanwhile, DC crime is up,” said Greene.
The total crime rate in the District of Columbia last year is up by 27%, with carjackings up by 114%, homicides by 11%, sexual assaults by 45%, and property crimes by 30%.
“And just yesterday morning, a little innocent twelve-year-old girl was shot while sleeping in her own bed by another rampant violent criminal who has probably been previously arrested and not prosecuted. What do you think a resident in Anacostia is more afraid of? Their child catching a stray bullet on Monday or a grandma walking through the Capitol more than two years ago? Mr. Graves, your decision to not prosecute 67% of the crimes in DC is absolutely criminal itself.”
“You have already abused your position by maliciously prosecuting at least 1000 people from January 6. But you recently announced that you’re going to arrest at least 1000 more,” said Greene.
Greene criticized Graves for prosecuting thousands of  J6ers, including nonviolent Trump supporter Matthew Perna, who killed himself after being arrested.
In December Matthew Perna, 37, pleaded guilty to felony obstruction of Congress and three misdemeanor charges associated with his entry into the Capitol on Jan 6, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia reported.
Matthew Perna was inside the US Capitol for 20 minutes. He was never accused of violence or vandalism. He walked inside the US Capitol peacefully.
His government targeted him, made up charges against him, and then destroyed him. In the end, it was too much.
“A man named Matthew Perna, who had no criminal record, peacefully entered the Capitol through an open door on January 6. He stayed inside for roughly 20 minutes,” said Greene.
“He didn’t assault anyone, not a police officer, anyone. He didn’t damage any property. He fully cooperated with the FBI and eventually plead guilty to all charges. But right before his sentencing, you, Mr. Graves, asked the judge for more time to object to the presentence report. By the way, while you weren’t prosecuting many of the crimes in DC.”
“This was so that you could ask for at least a few more years in prison. For the guy that walked around in the Capitol for 20 minutes not assaulting anyone. And this is what you’ve done repeatedly, over and over, for those who’ve pleaded or have been convicted on January 6.”
“Well, two weeks later, Matthew Perna hung himself in his garage, Mr. Graves. He was 37 years old. On March 9, 2022, you dropped the case against Matthew Perna because he was dead.”

On the same day, Rep. Greene introduced Articles of Impeachment against “corrupt” FBI Director Christopher Wray.
“I just introduced articles of impeachment against FBI Director Christopher Wray,” Greene tweeted.
“Under his watch, the FBI has intimidated, harassed, & entrapped Americans who have been deemed enemies of the Biden regime. Wray has turned the FBI into Joe Biden and Merrick Garland’s personal police force. Christopher Wray needs to be impeached,” she added.

Trump-endorsed candidate Daniel Cameron won the Kentucky primary for governor over DeSantis endorsed former ambassador Kelly Craft.
Cameron was leading with 47% of the vote to 17% for Kelly Craft with 84% of the vote counted.

State Attorney General Daniel Cameron (R), who’s backed by former President Trump, is projected to win Kentucky’s GOP gubernatorial primary, according to The Associated Press.
Cameron’s toughest opponents in the crowded GOP field were former U.N. Ambassador Kelly Craft and Agriculture Commissioner Ryan Quarles. He was widely seen as the front-runner in the race and was aided by Trump’s endorsement in a state that the former president won by double digits in 2020.
The state attorney general garnered national attention in 2020 for a breakout speech at the Republican National Convention.

In July 2020 documents were released by the Senate Judiciary Committee regarding the Russia collusion hoax.
The second set of documents exposed the outlandish New York Times story that the Trump team had “repeated contacts with senior Russian intelligence officials.”  The declassified documents reveal The New York Times reporting was transparently dishonest and attempted to fuel the Russiagate narrative in its early stages.
In May 2022, the country learned that it was Hillary Clinton’s campaign that was behind the entire Trump-Russia collusion hoax.  We know this because her former campaign manager Robbie Mook said so under oath during the Sussman trial.
The entire Trump-Russia collusion narrative was a lie.  The Democrats and media knew it was a lie.  We now know that the Hillary Clinton Campaign was behind the entire narrative.  Democrats used this in their attempted coup of the sitting president.  They jailed and bankrupted innocent men in their coup attempt.
The New York Times along with the Washington Post later won Pulitzer Prizes for their junk Trump-Russia collusion reporting that was later confirmed to be factually inaccurate and a complete fraud.
If these outlets had any integrity they’d return their phony prizes.
According to a debunked story published by far-left Slate, Trump set up a secret server at Trump Tower on 5th Avenue to “communicate privately with a Putin-tied Russian bank called Alfa Bank.”
The FBI began investigating the Trump Organization’s “back-channel” with the Russian-owned bank after Sussmann ran to the FBI and presented data files to back up the claims.
It was all a lie and Hillary hatched the lie and then later promoted the lie.
In 2022 President Trump has asked the Pulitzer Committee to revoke their award from the junk journalists in the fake news who were awarded their prize in journalism based on complete lies. So far the Pulitzer Committee has resisted.
Special Counsel John Durham released his final report concluding the FBI had no verified intel when it opened the Crossfire Hurricane investigation into Trump in 2016, according to Just the News.
This was Durham’s final report. There will be no arrests. The American people were lied to for years as the intel community worked feverishly to accomplish their coup on President Trump. And THEY ALL KNEW it was a lie.
But on Tuesday the Washington Post refused to apologize for pushing the lie of the century. They refuse to return their fraudulent Pulitzer awards.

Freshman Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA) on Tuesday introduced a one-page resolution to expel embattled Rep. George Santos.
“Resolved, That, pursuant to Article I, Section 5, Clause 2 of the Constitution of the United States, Representative George Santos, be, and he hereby is, expelled 4 from the House of Representatives.” – the resolution read.
Speaker McCarthy said he will punt the resolution to the Ethics Committee.
Santos surrendered last Wednesday after a federal grand jury returned a 13-count indictment.
Santos was charged with “seven counts of wire fraud, three counts of money laundering, one count of theft of public funds, and two counts of making materially false statements to the House of Representatives.”
According to the indictment reviewed by The Gateway Pundit, Santos was overcharged by zealous government prosecutors.
George Santos pleaded not guilty to all the charges and was released on $500,000 bond after his arraignment.
McCarthy said he wants the Ethics Committee to “move rapidly” on its probe of Santos after the Democrats tried to force a vote on the New York Rep’s expulsion.

Speaker Kevin McCarthy said on Tuesday that he wants the House Ethics Committee to “move rapidly” on its investigation of Rep. George Santos after Democrats pushed to force a vote to expel the embattled congressman.
McCarthy’s announcement came shortly after Democrats tried to put House Republicans on the spot by forcing the chamber to vote on the expulsion resolution later this week. Instead, McCarthy plans to refer the resolution to the ethics panel, which would require a majority of the House to approve. That would give Republicans a chance to sidestep weighing in directly on whether Santos should be expelled from Congress. But McCarthy indicated that the full House could act to punish or even expel Santos depending on what the committee finds.
“I think we can look at this very quickly and come to a conclusion on what George Santos did and did not do through ethics, a safe bipartisan committee,” McCarthy told reporters. He added, “I would like the Ethics Committee to move rapidly on this.”

Top House Republicans are likely to hit Secretary of State Antony Blinken with a contempt charge for refusing to turn over an Afghanistan withdrawal memo.
Antony Blinken is refusing to hand over an Afghanistan withdrawal memo that warned Americans of the deteriorating situation in the country. The Biden regime did not heed the warning and thousands of Americans and green card holders were eventually abandoned in the country.
Rep. McCaul last week warned that Congress would take legal action against Blinken.
Blinken will be the first Secretary of State in US history to face a contempt charge.
McCaul, who chairs the House Foreign Affairs Committee, told Fox News he will likely introduce the contempt charge on May 24 and bring it to a full House floor vote in June.

Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, plans to move forward with a contempt of Congress charge against Secretary of State Antony Blinken this month.
Blinken has refused to comply with a series of subpoenas from McCaul, who chairs the House Foreign Affairs Committee. McCaul plans to introduce the contempt charge on May 24, and it will likely proceed to the House floor on a party-line vote by early June, his office told Fox News.
“I don’t take this lightly because a secretary of State’s never been held in contempt by Congress before,” McCaul told Fox News Monday evening. “And I think the secretary realizes that and the gravity. They probably prefer not to go down this route as well. But if they do not comply, we’re prepared to move forward next week with a markup for resolution of contempt.”
Even if passed by the House, the contempt charge would largely be a symbolic move, as President Biden’s Justice Department would likely decline to prosecute the case.

The couple has four sons.
Rep. Boebert met her husband when she was 16 and he was 18.
Newsweek reported:
Court records dated April 25 and obtained by the Daily Beast indicated that Boebert’s husband refused to take the documents and became “extremely angry” when he was served, setting his dogs loose on the process server.
The server said in the filing, “I tried to hand him the documents but did not take them. He started yelling and using profanities, and told me that I was trespassing, and that he was calling the Sheriff’s Office. I told him I was leaving the documents on the chair outside of the door, he closed the door then let the dogs out.”
In a statement sent to Newsweek, Boebert confirmed she was divorcing her husband, saying it is “truly about irreconcilable differences.”

The Feds are mishandling the criminal investigation into Hunter Biden, according to an IRS supervisor who sought whistleblower protection last month.
An IRS whistleblower says Hunter Biden is receiving “preferential treatment.”
US Attorney General Merrick Garland is in on the scandal.
A White House spox recently issued a statement denying Joe Biden was behind the political interference in the investigation into his own son.
However, the Biden Regime retaliated against the IRS whistleblower and knifed the entire team that was investigating Hunter Biden.
This was on the same day Special Counsel Durham released his report on the Russia collusion hoax.

NY Times and WaPo reporters won Pulitzer for the Big Lie of the century.
With the much anticipated release of the Durham report yesterday completely exonerating President Trump of any collusion in the “Russia, Russia, Russia” hoax promulgated by the Hillary Clinton campaign and in conjunction with a slew of shady “intelligence” agents and their respective agencies, one thing is perfectly clear:  they were all willfully wrong.  In fact, in the words of Rumble podcast host Dan Bongino:  “It was a coup.”
While Durham did not ultimately recommend charges to be filed, there is evidence and suggestions in the report to campaign finance violations with the FBI and Clinton campaign, as well as briefings at the highest levels of the executive branch to justify continued spying on a private citizen and political opponent, among other claims.
And all of this seems to have been in conjunction with a complicit media that asserted speculation as fact.  Below is an excellent “montage” of many of the elaborate and unfounded claims made by the Mockingbird Media, including some bold assertions made to resistance pertaining to the story’s credibility from lawmakers and Donald Trump himself.
For example, Rachel Maddow stated “…in reality, A) a lot of the dossier has proven to be true” and MSNBC’s Chris Hayes stated, “The President was compromised by a hostile foreign government.  Full stop.”

In addition to the talking heads in the clip above, the Washington Post and New York Times both received Pulitzer paperweights for their spreading of misinformation in 2018 sourced from “intelligence agencies” regarding the Russia Hoax.

A drunk intruder who entered National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan’s home went undetected by the Secret Service.
The intrusion happened at around 3 am in late April, according to the Washington Post.
The Secret Service is conducting a thorough investigation into the security breach.
According to WaPo, there were no signs of forced entry and the intruder didn’t know who Sullivan was.
No one was injured.
“While the protectee was unharmed, we are taking this matter seriously and have opened a comprehensive mission assurance investigation to review all facets of what occurred,” Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said in the statement to The Washington Post. “Any deviation from our protective protocols is unacceptable and if discovered, personnel will be held accountable.”

The U.S. Secret Service is investigating how a man entered the home of President Biden’s national security adviser in the middle of the night roughly two weeks ago without being detected by agents guarding his house, according to three government officials.
The unknown man walked into Jake Sullivan’s home at about 3 a.m. one day in late April and Sullivan confronted the individual, instructing him to leave, two of the people briefed on the incident said. There were no signs of forced entry at the home, according to one of the people.
Sullivan has a round-the-clock Secret Service detail. But agents stationed outside the house were unaware that an intruder had gotten inside the home, located in the West End neighborhood of Washington, until the man had already left and Sullivan came outside to alert the agents, the two people said.
The intruder appeared to be intoxicated and confused about where he was, according to people briefed on the incident. There is no evidence the person knew Sullivan or sought to harm him, they said.
