Former Rep. Mike Rogers was on the latest episode of Newsmax’s “America Right Now” with host Tom Basile to discuss his run for the U.S. Senate in Michigan.
“Back in 2024, you lost a Senate race against Alyssa Slotkin by less than 20,000 votes out of more than five million cast,” Basile said.
“A lot of folks out there are saying that it may not be a great year for Republicans. Why are you betting they are wrong, sir?” Basile asked.
“I completely disagree, and I’ve been all over this state. It was 48.6 to 48.3. This is a change election in Michigan,” Rogers said.
“This marks the 32nd year that we’ve had two Democrat Senators in the United States Senate,” Rogers said.
“Our education system went from top tier to 44th in the country. We’ve lost 30,000 manufacturing jobs. We have four of the most dangerous cities still in the State of Michigan,” Rogers continued.
“Our kids are leaving the state because of a lack of opportunity,” Rogers said.
“They have chased out all of our defense industrial-based manufacturing over the last decade. People around this State are saying it’s time for a change,” Rogers continued.
“Talk to us about your prospective Democrat opponents and how they contrast with you on the issues,” Basile said.
“Think about where the Party of the Democrats is today. We are common sense. We are working-class people. We care about building things in this state. They are dreaming about California, talking about how sad they are for the Ayatollah,” Rogers commented.
“Immigration was a significant driver of voter intent in 2024. President Trump has closed the border. Millions have either left or have been deported. Violent crime in this country is down. What are voters in your state telling you is really the key to this election this year?” Basile asked.
“Well, I think it’s going to be the economy and jobs, and the good news is we are tackling real problems. So, we have come out with a proposal on housing affordability that’s very, very popular,” Rogers said.
“We are going to continue to attract better-paying jobs, higher-end manufacturing jobs, and get back into defense industrial-based manufacturing,” Rogers continued.

The New York Post reported:
“A 33-year-old man will appear in court next week after he was suspected of planning to harm Princess of Orange Catharina-Amalia, 22, and Princess Alexia, 20, in February.”
Catharina-Amalia is the heir to the throne of the Netherlands, and Alexia is second in line.
“The suspect was captured in The Hague, where he was carrying two axes engraved with the names ‘Alexia’ and ‘Mossad’, Israel’s intelligence agency, as well as ‘Sieg Heil’, the propaganda chant used by Adolf Hitler and his Nazi regime, officials said.”

“Authorities also recovered a handwritten note that had the words ‘Amalia’, ‘Alexia’, and ‘bloodbath’ scrawled across the sheet.”
The suspect’s name hasn’t been revealed because of Dutch privacy laws, and the motive behind the attack was also not disclosed.
A hearing is scheduled for Monday.

Southwest Airlines finds itself under fire as one of its flight attendants has been busted for calling for President Donald Trump’s assassination in a series of social media posts.
As TGP readers know, a California man named Cole Allen stormed the lobby of the Washington Hilton last Saturday night and opened fire at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
He was taken alive after Secret Service agents neutralized him in the lobby near the security screening area.
Allen allegedly told law enforcement after his arrest that he intended to shoot Trump administration officials, including the president.
As first uncovered by Libs of TikTok, Southwest flight attendant Meesh Carpino pleaded for Allen to finally take out Trump once and for all.
“Oh, sweet baby Jesus,” she wrote while following the incident.
She then grew angry after learning the third attempt on Trump’s life had failed.
“WE NEED BETTER ASSASSIN’S! [sic],” she angrily stated.

“One day we will wake up to his obituary.”
Carpino also echoed former FBI Director James Comey by posting the phrase “86 47.”
This post led to Comey’s federal indictment on Thursday.
Furthermore, Carpino has called MAGA patriots “hillbilly ISIS” on social media and used the phrase “F**K ICE.”
X users blasted Southwest for employing Carpino and vowed to boycott the airline if they did not terminate her.

Southwest is aware of these posts and we are addressing the situation. While we don’t comment on personnel matters, this content does not reflect our values and we take it seriously.
If Southwest Airlines does not take action and terminate Carpino for her wicked words, Americans need to seek other airlines to fly on.

Cole Allen, the White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooter who was charged with the attempted assassination of President Trump, has been placed on “suicide precautions” in the DC jail.
Allen’s attorneys argued that placing their client on suicide precautions is unnecessary and violates his rights.
“Cole Tomas Allen, through undersigned counsel, respectfully requests this Honorable Court order the Department of Corrections (DOC) at the D.C. Jail to remove Mr. Allen from suicide precautions,” Allen’s lawyers wrote.
“Mr. Allen’s placement on suicide watch and suicide precautions amount to violations of his rights under the Due Process Clause to the U.S. Constitution,” they said.
For that reason, Mr. Allen requests the Court order the DOC to remove him from suicide precautions,” Cole Allen’s lawyers wrote in a court filing on Saturday.
Allen’s attorneys also claimed that the DOC intake team who assessed the WHCD shooter “did not note any suicide risk factors.”
The attorneys whined that Cole Allen is not permitted to make phone calls and has no access to a jail tablet.
Cole Allen made his initial appearance in federal court in DC on Monday.
The 31-year-old was previously charged with using a firearm during a crime of violence and assaulting a federal officer with a dangerous weapon.

Senator John Fetterman has warned that the Democratic grassroots are planning a “small communist takeover” in the state of Maine.
On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s Jesse Watters Primetime, Fetterman was asked about Graham Platner, the candidate for U.S. Senate who is currently on track to win the party’s nomination.
“How big a threat do you think this Communist movement is?” Watters asked.
Fetterman responded:
A lot of these terrible groups like Code Pink and a lot of the other ones that are strongly aligned to the CCP, without a doubt, they’re being financed.
It’s ironic, these kinds of protests are being funded by billionaires against billionaires. I don’t know if they realize the irony in many of those things right now. And, now, there is kind of a small Communist takeover in Maine.
Platner, he’s already announced that he’s an avowed Communist. He’s made that statement, and he put that online. Now, he’s going to be the Democratic nominee.
So there is a [resurgence of] socialism, and that’s become more and more a part of it. And now there’s more, it’s like a marriage of the Palestinian, the anti-ICE, the abolish ICE, and now turning it into like an orgy of socialism here and that’s sad.
Because it’s supposed to be about labor, like unions. I am absolutely a proud pro-union Democrat, but the kinds of mess that are you see showing up in many of them, that is the worst impulses that our party continues, we just [can’t seem to] resist those things.

A 12-year-old girl was abducted in Cockeysville, which is in the Baltimore area of Maryland. The alleged kidnapper has an immigration detainer hold.
34-year-old Oscar Bladimir Argueta was charged with assault and kidnapping a middle school girl.
Argueta was denied bail at his court hearing on Friday. The alleged kidnapping took place this past Thursday.
Authorities responded Thursday morning after a female student said that she had been abducted.

A man is facing charges after Baltimore County police said he abducted a middle school student on Thursday, April 30.
Oscar Bladimir Argueta Argueta, 34, was charged with kidnapping and assault after the alleged incident in the Vintage Court and Cranbrook Road area of Cockeysville, officials said.
A judge denied Argueta bail Friday afternoon.
Police were called to Cockeysville Middle School around 7:50 a.m. after a student reported that she had been abducted.
“The student told officers that she was walking to school when a man approached, identifying himself as a family friend who had recognized her from church. He persuaded her to get into his gray Toyota Camry, telling her that her family sent him, according to police.” CBS News Baltimore reported.
After the girl got into the car, the accused took her to several locations before dropping her off at school. That is when she reported what happened to her.
After the police interviewed the girl’s mother, she said no one was permitted to pick up her daughter.
Argueta took her to a park and even stopped at a cemetery before the girl demanded he take her to school. He eventually listened to her and dropped her off at school.
According to the police, the suspect touched the girl inappropriately. He even climbed into the back seat and asked her, in Spanish, if she had a boyfriend. He even asked to kiss her.
After cursing at him and demanding to be taken to school, he complied. He also said he was sorry and told her not to tell anyone.
Argueta is being represented by a public defender and is looking at up to 40 years in prison if convicted of second-degree assault and kidnapping a minor.

Former FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino has revealed that things have changed forever for him since leaving the Trump Administration early this year and has a dire warning for the country when Democrats assume power again.
As the Gateway Pundit reported, Bongino joined Sean Hannity’s podcast, Hanging Out with Me, on Tuesday and discussed his time at the FBI, his cancer diagnosis, the Russia hoax, UFOs, government secrets, and more.
Bongino, who took on the deputy director role in March 2025, made waves online after revealing how “scared” he was, even as a private citizen, during the interview.
He also stood by everything he accomplished with FBI Director Kash Patel.
“I will never be the same, and I’m being as serious as a stroke right now,” he told Hannity.
“I’m really scared, man,” he added. “I know what I did, and I’m proud of my work.”
“And I am proud of what me and Kash accomplished in the past year.”

As The Daily Mail notes, Bongino then warned Hannity that the next administration would “rewrite the book, just like they did for President Trump.”
Bongino added that the next Democrat regime would “send some thugs to my house.”
“After reading what I read about how many people did this to President Trump, this Russia hoax, collusion, Crossfire Hurricane bulls**t, and not a single person stopped them,” he explained.
“I’m terrified. They’re going to send some thugs to my house.”

During the event, the radical left duo unleashed attacks on Republicans and pushed demands to abolish ICE.
The rally at Aloe Plaza near Union Station drew hundreds of protesters from labor unions and community groups demanding higher wages and an end to ICE.
Bush, who lost her seat in the 2024 Democratic primary to incumbent Rep. Wesley Bell, used the stage to campaign aggressively ahead of the 2026 primary rematch.
In one clip shared by RNC Research, Bush openly acknowledged the disconnect between Democrats and voters while speaking to Piker before taking the stage.

The Supreme Court on Wednesday declared Louisiana’s newly-drawn Congressional map an unconstitutional gerrymander.
The high court issued the ruling 6-3.
Liberal justices Sotomayor, Kagan and Jackson dissented.
The case, State of Louisiana v. Phillip Callais (and the related Press Robinson v. Phillip Callais), stems from Louisiana’s woke lawmakers caving to left-wing judges and creating a second “majority-minority” congressional district.
James Carville didn’t take the Supreme Court’s decision well.
“The only nine people in the entire f*cking federal government that operates under no ethics rule!” Carville falsely claimed on his podcast “Politicon.”
“These sons of bitches were so political, so happy to help the Republican party any way they could. What they’re trying to do at every juncture they can is screw black people as hard as they can,” he added.
Someone should tell Carville that Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas voted to end the race-based gerrymander in Louisiana.

The 81-year-old ‘ragin’ cajun’ is known for his unhinged rants against President Trump.
Last month Carville went ballistic and admitted he has a bad case of TDS.
“Look, you fat f*ck Trump! If you listen to this, you listen good!” Carville shouted. “Because what I’m about to say is what a lot of people in this country is who I speak for.”
He continued, “And I speak for a lot of f*cking people! You hear me you fat ass ho!?”
“This is what we believe! You’re right! I got Trump Derangement Syndrome! I hate the motherf*cker! And you know what? I don’t want to get rid of it! I don’t want to get better! I want to get worse!”
“I pray to God in heaven. God, reign the righteous reign of Trump Derangement Syndrome on me. Pray for me, Lord! I’m your vessel on this earth!” Carville said.
“Pray for the people that listen to this. We want more! We want to hate the son of a b*tch so much that we can’t see straight!” he said.
Last year, James Carville said Trump’s aggressive approach with an ungrateful and arrogant Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is possibly due to ‘syphilis.’
Carville first made this claim about Trump in 2024 when he was photographed with red marks on his hands.
“They look like syphilis,” James Carville said of the red marks on Trump’s hands.
Carville claimed he asked several doctors (who never examined Trump) what the red marks could be and the answer was “immediate: secondary syphilis.”
“That boy ain’t right,” Carville said on his podcast “Politicon.”
James Carville brought up the red splotches on Trump’s hand and suggested ‘syphilis’ caused his ‘madness.’
