Rachel Maddow, the queen of the Russia collusion hoax, was brought onto MSNOW tonight to react to the death of former FBI director Robert Mueller, who led the pointless investigation that came up with nothing.
According to Maddow, Mueller confirmed her anti-Trump conspiracy theories. She actually doubled down on the hoax during the segment. Maddow made a fortune pushing this lie to her audience and yet she has never been forced to apologize or faced consequences of any kind.
She even suggests that Mueller’s findings were shut down by then attorney general Bill Barr, who she claims outmaneuvered Mueller politically.

Maddow joined The Weekend: Primetime on Saturday to share her thoughts on Mueller, hours after he died at the age of 81. The MS NOW veteran was complimentary of Mueller overall, but said his two-year probe into Trump failed to land a devastating blow because Barr “outplayed” Mueller.
“There’s a reason on a day like this, we need to remind people what was in Mueller’s report — what were the results of his investigation — and that’s because of a failure on his part,” Maddow said. “That is because once his investigation and his report were concluded, he was just wildly outmaneuvered by a really serpentine Attorney General named Bill Barr, who played really dirty pool when it came to the handling and release of the information from Mueller’s investigation.”
She continued:
I don’t know if he was blindsided by it or if he thought Barr was a good guy and would be a straight shooter on this, but Barr absolutely buried him in terms of in terms of the impact of of that report. And given the way that bill Barr became attorney general, Mueller and his team should have seen that coming.
If they did see it coming, they should have come up with a way to outmaneuver Barr while he was outmaneuvering them, and they didn’t.

James Comey was just subpoenaed to testify in a new probe of the hoax.
DOJ officials should consider making Rachel Maddow testify under oath as well. She was clearly fed insider information from somewhere, no matter how incorrect it all was.

A banner advertising a new Muslim area in a California cemetery was draped over a 9/11 memorial, angering local residents.
The owner of the cemetery apparently gave permission for the banner to be put up but did not realize it would be placed over the memorial. It was taken down after people voiced their outrage.

A banner draped over a 9/11 memorial, which was advertising a new Islamic portion of a Contra Costa County cemetery, was removed after receiving backlash.
The owner of the Memorial Gardens Cemetery said he recently sold a portion of the property to an Islamic family who plans to open memorial garden. He said he gave them permission to put up signage but did not authorize them to drape it over the 9/11 installation.
He ordered it to be removed as soon as he learned about it. Workers took it down just before noon, but many said it should have never been placer at the 9/11 memorial site in the first place.
Danny Kimmel, a Concord resident, said the banner advertising an Islamic memorial garden was draped over the 9/11 memorial located in front of the cemetery where his mother is buried.
“I felt a punch to the gut type of thing,” he said. “To see that sign on that memorial is kind of nutty is my thoughts.”
The Kimmels are a blue star family. Danny’s older brother was killed in Vietnam, and he said his mother would be rolling in her grave if she saw the banner.

Democrats in the state of Connecticut oppose the SAVE America Act because they don’t support the idea of having to show a photo ID in order to vote, but they recently passed a law in the state that requires photo ID to recycle aluminum cans.
You could not make this up.
Like some other states, Connecticut gives a ten cent return on empty containers instead of five cents, so people have been crossing into the state to recycle there and cash in on the higher return. The fix for this was photo ID.
But they won’t do this for voting.

Connecticut Democrats recently rushed through an emergency anti-fraud law requiring bottle redemption centers to collect a copy of a person’s driver’s license when they cash in more than 1,000 cans or bottles in a day — a document demand that Republicans say undercuts the party’s attacks on voter-ID rules.
Earlier this month, an emergency certification bill, SB 299, was introduced by top Democratic leaders in the state’s legislature. It was later passed in both chambers in late February and was signed by Gov. Ned Lamont, a Democrat, on March 3.
It requires people wishing to recycle cans for money to present a copy of their driver’s license, put in place because the state has had issues with non-residents crossing its border to take advantage of its higher return rate of 10 cents a can instead of five cents. The issue was reportedly causing the state to lose significant revenue…
“In Connecticut, it seems that they are committed to securing recycling, but not to securing elections,” said Anna Pingel, America First Policy Institute’s Campaign Director for Secure Elections. “Requiring photo ID to collect cash from recycling but opposing photo ID to cast a vote tells you everything you need to know about the hypocrisy of politicians fighting against commonsense legislation like the SAVE Act. What is more important to safeguard—bottles or ballots?”
Both of Connecticut’s senators voted against the SAVE America Act.

Democrat Texas Senate nominee James Talarico is catching heat after declaring that illegal immigrants were his “most patriotic” students when he worked as a public school teacher.
In a recent live interview on The Bulwark Podcast with host Tim Miller, Talarico boasted about his time teaching in San Antonio and how illegal aliens were more patriotic than Americans.
“Before I was a politician, I was a public school teacher in San Antonio, Texas, on the west side of the city, and I taught a lot of undocumented students, and those students tended to be my most patriotic students,” Talarico claimed.
Talarico didn’t stop there. He doubled down, claiming these illegal aliens “understood something about this country that a lot of us who are native born forget,” calling America “the land of opportunity” and “the place where dreams come true.”
The liberal candidate added that they “believed in this country, even when this country didn’t believe in them,” while ripping Trump-era immigration policies as “immoral” and “unconscionable” for “terrorizing my former students and their families.”

The remarks have been slammed on social media as a direct insult to every American citizen, legal immigrant, veteran, and taxpayer who actually loves this country.
This isn’t the only wild take from the candidate.
As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, in the same interview, the self-described Presbyterian seminarian and “devout Christian” defended his 2021 claim that “God is nonbinary.”
When pressed about “God’s sausage” in reference to his earlier House floor speech, Talarico said, “Listen, I know that I was being provocative with that comment. Uh, I made it on the floor of the Texas House when the extremists in the Texas legislature were trying to pick on kids who were different. While maybe provocative politically, I don’t think it’s controversial theologically. Most Christians believe God is beyond gender.”

Senator Roger Marshall was on Newsmax‘s “America Right Now” with host Tom Basile on Saturday. He defended President Trump’s America First Agenda.
He criticized the Democrats for the partial government shutdown affecting the Department of Homeland Security.
Basile and Senator Marshall also discussed the ongoing conflict in Iran.
“From your perspective, what would you like to see accomplished before we pull back?” Basile asked.
“I think we need to fulfill the President’s four goals. It’s so clear exactly what the President has laid out, and I think we are 90 percent there,” Marshall said.
“He laid out that we want to destroy Iranian missiles, their nukes, their navy, and prevent them from being able to arm and train terrorists in the future,” Senator Marshall continued.
“So, again, very successful mission so far. Complement our military, mourn the loss of 13 American soldiers, and maybe another dozen seriously injured,” Marshall said.
“The last 10 percent may be as hard as the first 90 percent,” Marshall continued.
“I want to move over to the standoff on Capitol Hill. National security threats continue to rise, but that standoff over DHS funding with the Democrats continues,” Basile said.
“We’ve had multiple terror attacks tied to Islamist activity,” Basile continued.
“In the last few weeks, travelers are now seriously feeling this as well,” Basile said of long lines at airport security.
“Senator, are we any close to a deal here?” Basile asked.
Senator Marshall blasted the Democrats for defunding the security of our country.
“So, remember, the Democrats are the defund the police party. The Republicans are the party of secure border and law and order,” Marshall said.
“I think it’s important to remind folks that President Trump sent the Democrats an offer, and they sat on it for 18 days,” Senator Marshall said.
“We want President Trump’s policies to stay in place,” Marshall said.
“We should be asking them why won’t you fund DHS? Why are you the defund the police political party?” Marshall asked of Democrats.

President Trump on Saturday evening threatened to obliterate Iran’s power plants if they don’t fully open the Strait of Hormuz.

President Trump’s warning comes as Iran is only allowing certain ships, including oil tankers, to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz to all oil tankers and vessels except for a few approved ships.
Oil spiked to $112 per barrel amid the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and Iranian attacks on Qatar’s oil facility.
20% of the world’s oil supply goes through the Straight of Hormuz.

Last Tuesday US Central Command released unclassified footage of US Military strikes on the Iranian navy in the Strait of Hormuz.
The footage showed an Iranian submarine and smaller vessels being blown up.

President Trump previously warned Iran not to put any mines in the Strait of Hormuz.

Loyola University student Sheridan Gorman
A Venezuelan migrant was taken into custody for questioning in connection with the fatal shooting of a Loyola University student.
Very early Thursday morning, 18-year-old Sheridan Gorman was shot and killed near campus.
A masked gunman approached a group of students walking in Rogers Park and opened fire.
Gorman was shot in the head and died at the scene.
Earlier Saturday, WGN reported that a person of interest was taken into custody.
A 25-year-old adult male was taken into custody on Friday night and a gun was recovered.

According to WGN, investigators used surveillance cameras to track the suspect after the fatal shooting.

Later Saturday, Fox News reporter Matt Finn said a Venezuelan migrant was taken into custody in connection with Gorman’s murder.

CPD tells Fox that Gorman, from Westchester County NY, was walking with friends along Chicago’s lake front around 1:30 AM Thursday when a “unknown male offender” opened fire at the group, hitting Gorman in the head. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

On Friday, heavy rainfall triggered severe flooding on Oahu, Hawaii’s most populous island.
The flood has resulted in 230 rescues within the first 24 hours and is the largest flood on Oahu in the last 20 years.
The Department of Emergency Management has warned that the Wahiawa Dam, located in northern Oahu, is in danger of “imminent failure,” prompting authorities to order the evacuation of 5,500 residents.
Hawaii Governor Josh Green, in a post on X, announced the National Guard has been activated in response to the flooding.
AP reported the Hawaii National Guard, alongside the Honolulu Fire Department, airlifted over 70 children and adults who were trapped at a youth camp on Oahu’s west coast.

Dangerous flooding is impacting Hawaii’s Oahu island, prompting more than 230 rescues, “catastrophic” damage as major rains pummel the area for the second significant rain event in a week.
At a press briefing Friday evening, Honolulu Mayor Rick Blangiardi said emergency crews have already rescued more than 230 people from life-threatening conditions.
Hawaii Gov. Josh Green said there were no confirmed fatalities or missing persons as emergency responders — including firefighters, the National Guard and military personnel — have been deployed across affected areas.
Overnight into Saturday, a Flash Flood Warning has been in effect for life-threatening ongoing flooding on Oahu as emergency management reported flooding and closed roads on the windward side of the island due to earlier flooding.
The heaviest rain is expected to continue through Saturday for most islands, with the Big Island getting the heaviest rain on Sunday and thunderstorms possible at times, which may include damaging winds.

Five additional defendants, all Somali, have pleaded guilty to wire fraud in one of the largest pandemic fraud cases in U.S. history, the Minneapolis Feeding Our Future scandal that stole hundreds of millions of dollars meant for hungry children during COVID.
Ikram Yusuf Mohamed, 42, her husband Shakur Abdinur Abdisalam, 46, her sister Aisha Hassan Hussein, 29, Sahra Sharif Osman, 43, and her mother Fadumo Mohamed Yusuf, 59, each entered guilty pleas this week, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.
The group ran fake food distribution sites under the Feeding Our Future nonprofit umbrella and submitted phony claims for hundreds of thousands to over a million meals that were never served.
They used fake attendance rosters, inflated invoices through a related company, and paid kickbacks to cover their tracks.
Prosecutors say the five stole and laundered a total of $14.6 million in federal Child Nutrition Program funds, money that was supposed to feed kids during COVID but instead funded personal luxuries like rent, furniture, vacations, dining out, and DoorDash orders.
Each defendant’s company received more than $1 million in taxpayer money.

Ikram Yusuf Mohamed opened multiple sites that pulled in over $6.9 million, hid her role by using family names, created Star Distribution LLC for fake invoices ($4.9 million direct and $1.4 million more), and demanded over $1.3 million in kickbacks.
Shakur Abdinur Abdisalam ran Inspiring Youth & Outreach LLC, falsely claimed over 1 million meals, received $1.5 million, and paid a $21,000 kickback.
Aisha Hassan Hussein ran United Youth of MPLS LLC, claimed 1.3 million meals, received $2.2 million, and paid a $166,000 kickback.
Sahra Sharif Osman ran Youth International Club LLC, claimed nearly 700,000 meals, received $1.4 million, and paid a $7,500 kickback.
Fadumo Mohamed Yusuf ran Active Mind’s Youth LLC, claimed over 500,000 meals, received $1 million, and paid a $38,500 kickback.

All five pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Nancy E. Brasel.
Each faces up to 20 years in prison.
“I am proud of our team of prosecutors, federal agents, and law enforcement partners who continue to expose the rampant fraud in Minnesota,” U.S. Attorney Daniel N. Rosen said in a press release about the pleas.
This brings the total convictions in the Feeding Our Future scheme to 63 out of 79 charged.
The overall scandal is estimated to have cost more than $250 million in stolen funds nationwide.
The vast majority of defendants charged in the Feeding Our Future case, and in related welfare fraud probes, are Somali.
Minnesota is home to the largest Somali population in the United States, and the scandal has repeatedly exposed fraud networks operating within that state.
The case gained fresh national momentum thanks to the independent investigation by conservative YouTuber Nick Shirley.
Shirley’s explosive viral video in December documented apparently empty Somali-run daycare centers across Minnesota that were still collecting millions in federal funds.

Several of the daycares featured in Shirley’s video had directly received Feeding Our Future meal reimbursements totaling millions. His reporting helped trigger broader federal probes, congressional testimony, and the Trump administration’s crackdown on fraud and waste in the state.
The scandal also has direct political ties to Rep. Ilhan Omar.
Omar, who is Somali and represents Minnesota’s heavily Somali 5th District, co-sponsored the 2020 MEALS Act, which dramatically expanded and loosened oversight of the exact child nutrition programs exploited in the Feeding Our Future scheme.
Her campaign later received thousands of dollars in donations from individuals who were subsequently charged with fraud. She gave the money to charity after the scandal broke.
Additionally, Omar held events and appeared in promotional materials at Safari Restaurant, owned by convicted Feeding Our Future fraudster Salim Said, who used stolen funds for a $2 million mansion and luxury shopping sprees.
One of Omar’s former campaign staffers, Guhaad Hashi Said, also pleaded guilty to running a fake food site in the scheme.

I confess that, for some reason, today was one of the most difficult days when visiting President Jair Bolsonaro.
Upon entering the room, I came upon that strong man “passed out” in the chair, head bowed, sobbing as he slept. I had to step back. I stayed a few minutes in silence, outside, trying to compose myself, before entering again.
When I returned, he was still the same. I approached, stroked his head, and he didn’t even react. They explained to me that, due to the strong medications, his sensitivity is even more heightened. He even wears a bracelet with the indication: “FALL RISK”.
When he woke up, I chose not to say anything about what’s happening out here. I just commented, lightly, on Augusto Nunes’ new look, which drew a “shock” from him upon waking.
My father remains in the semi-intensive unit, with a weak voice, drowsy from the medications, and he complained of weakened breathing, certainly due to the third consecutive pneumonia after his illegal imprisonment. I witnessed the collection of more than five vials of blood for tests.
I did my part, with humility. He told me he appreciated my presence and that I would return tomorrow.
I leave the hospital devastated, more than I honestly expected to be.
But we carry on. Tomorrow is another day.
