“They kidnapped me and threatened me to stop preaching,” said Amos Magani, a former civil servant who has been doing missionary work for 30 years. In 2017, he was kidnapped by Fulani Islamists while traveling to another village on a ministry trip.
Magani was one of about 150 attendees at the Rod and Staff Conference in Kaduna State, Nigeria, an event organized by the Christian Awareness Initiative of Nigeria (CHAIN) in partnership with Palace Alliance, a U.S.-based aid organization. During the two-day conference, attendees were invited to share stories of kidnappings and attacks they had personally witnessed or experienced.
Sadly, Fulani attacks on Christians in Nigeria’s Middle Belt region are so common that nearly every conference participant had a story, each more harrowing than the next.

Magani went on to say that when he was taken, the kidnappers held him in thick bush, deep in the jungle. They threatened him with their guns and demanded a ransom.
At one point, he attempted to preach to his captors in the hopes of softening their hearts. However, the kidnappers responded, “If you are preaching to me, get me a goat,” a mocking response telling him to stop wasting their time. They released him after collecting 200,000 naira, which at the time was worth about $600 USD, far more than a year’s wages for many Nigerians.
Although the ransom had been paid, shortly after his release the kidnappers came to his house again, forcing him to flee. He has not returned to his town since then. He also no longer has a cell phone because the kidnappers took it, and in the intervening nine years he has not been able to save enough money to buy a replacement.
According to Amos, the kidnappers’ goal was to make him stop preaching. So, of course, he continues to travel and preach today.
Another of the conference attendees, an Igwe, a king of the Igbo tribe from Sanga Local Government Area, shared his story.
“Our place is in danger every night,” began the Igwe. “We are running up and down,” meaning they are constantly scrambling about in a state of panic. “They kidnap people every day. If you don’t have money, they will shoot you.”
“They have killed a medical doctor and a trader who sold herbicides and agricultural inputs.”
He went on to recount that both he and his daughter had been kidnapped.
“My wife and children have run away, and they have left me alone here,” said the Igwe, meaning that his wife and the rest of his children had fled the area entirely for safety. But as king, he is obliged to remain and look after his people.
“When they kidnapped me, they demanded 5 million naira.”
Apart from money, the kidnappers had some other unusual demands. They wanted a pack of Tramadol, a hard drug, and a pack of energy drinks.
Even after the money and other items were handed over, the kidnappers returned to plague the family again.
“Five days ago, they came to kidnap my brother, but he slipped under the table and escaped.”
The Igwe went on to explain that other families in the village have also been targeted.
“There was another attack on Monday, and it happens on a daily basis.”
Not only does the Igwe know where the kidnappers are hiding, but he claims the authorities know as well.
“This area is surrounded by thick forest, and the kidnappers have set up camp there. The army is aware of their presence in the forest.”
The Igwe said he has tried to protect his people.
“We have conducted several air patrols in the area, but up to now, nothing has been done about the presence of the kidnappers in the forests close to the area.”
A further frustration he expressed was the frequency with which both he and the army encounter the culprits.
“Whenever they kidnap someone, they pass through army checkpoints on the road, and the army seems not to be stopping them.”
Everyone knows what is happening, he said, but they are afraid to testify.
“Nobody dares to talk. If you talk, you will be picked up and killed.”
The Igwe concluded by explaining, “I am confiding in you because I am hoping that if you have any help, you should please help, particularly in this town of Fadan Karshi, because it is a Christian-dominated town, and we are the ones who always suffer the persecution.”
A pastor stood up and shared the truth that was weighing on his heart. As he spoke, the audience nodded their heads in knowing agreement.
“Instead of coming to defend us, the authorities are coming to disarm us, searching our houses to see if we have anything to defend ourselves.”
In Nigeria, private citizens generally cannot own modern firearms. Hunters often have muzzle-loaders or homemade single-shot rifles, and in some villages the hunters form vigilante squads to defend against Fulani attacks.
However, according to many of the victims I interviewed in Nigeria, the Fulani can arrive in groups of more than 100, often on motorcycles and carrying AK-47s. As a result, the small number of vigilantes defending the villages with muzzle-loaders are not attempting to defeat the invaders, but rather to buy time so the rest of the villagers can escape.
However, as the pastor said, in instances where the villagers have fought back, the police have at times confiscated even their primitive weapons and have on occasion jailed the defenders.
After years of daily murders and kidnappings, and the occasional arrest of defenders, my primary takeaway from the conference was that Nigerian Christians have had enough. They all expressed fatigue, and many talked about the stress and trauma caused by the constant threat of attack. Those who have been kidnapped often need months to recover, and even then they are never the same.
All of the conference attendees I spoke with said they loved President Trump and were grateful for U.S. intervention, but they want more. Most said they simply wanted to be able to return to their original villages, work their fields, put their children back in school, and resume their lives.
For now, however, many are displaced and struggling to survive without land to farm. For many families, their children’s education stops once they become displaced because they do not have enough money to eat, much less pay school fees. In some cases, it may also be too dangerous for children to walk to and from school for fear of Fulani attacks.

President Trump Releases Statement on US’s Exchange of Fire with Iran in the Strait of Hormuz
President Trump on Thursday evening released a statement after the US exchanged fire with Iran in the Strait of Hormuz.
The US intercepted three Iranian attacks on Navy ships.
Full statement from CENTCOM:
U.S. forces intercepted unprovoked Iranian attacks and responded with self-defense strikes as U.S. Navy guided-missile destroyers transited the Strait of Hormuz to the Gulf of Oman, May 7.
Iranian forces launched multiple missiles, drones and small boats as USS Truxtun (DDG 103), USS Rafael Peralta (DDG 115), and USS Mason (DDG 87) transited the international sea passage. No U.S. assets were struck.
U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) eliminated inbound threats and targeted Iranian military facilities responsible for attacking U.S. forces including missile and drone launch sites; command and control locations; and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance nodes.
CENTCOM does not seek escalation but remains positioned and ready to protect American forces.https://t.co/FY4zUn9fYh

Confirmed. Chinese owned ship struck by Iran in the Strait of Hormuz. With friends like these… https://t.co/qIuBrU9EPl
— Ambassador Mike Waltz (@michaelgwaltz) May 7, 2026Later Thursday evening, President Trump confirmed there was an exchange of fire in the Strait of Hormuz.
Trump’s full statement:
Three World Class American Destroyers just transited, very successfully, out of the Strait of Hormuz, under fire.
There was no damage done to the three Destroyers, but great damage done to the Iranian attackers. They were completely destroyed along with numerous small boats, which are being used to take the place of their fully decapitated Navy.
These boats went to the bottom of the Sea, quickly and efficiently. Missiles were shot at our Destroyers, and were easily knocked down. Likewise, drones came, and were incinerated while in the air. They dropped ever so beautifully down to the Ocean, very much like a butterfly dropping to its grave!
A normal Country would have allowed these Destroyers to pass, but Iran is not a normal Country.
They are led by LUNATICS, and if they had the chance to use a Nuclear Weapon, they would do it, without question — But they’ll never have that opportunity and, just like we knocked them out again today, we’ll knock them out a lot harder, and a lot more violently, in the future, if they don’t get their Deal signed, FAST! Our three Destroyers, with their wonderful Crews, will now rejoin our Naval Blockade, which is truly a “Wall of Steel.” President DONALD J. TRUMP

Biden-Paroled Illegal Alien Charged With Sexually Assaulting Elderly Women at Wisconsin Nursing Home
Credit: Immigration and Customs Enforcement
An illegal alien from Nicaragua has been charged with sexually assaulting elderly women at a Wisconsin assisted living facility where he worked.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has lodged a detainer against Julio Cesar Morales Jarquin, who entered the U.S. through the Biden administration’s parole pipeline in 2023.
According to local officials, Morales Jarquin was employed at an assisted living facility in Dane County, Wisconsin, when he allegedly sexually assaulted elderly female residents.
He has been charged with two counts of second-degree sexual assault of an elderly victim.
ICE is urging local officials not to release Morales Jarquin back into the community.
“This illegal alien is charged with two counts of sexual assault of an elderly victim at an assisted living facility,” Department of Homeland Security spokeswoman Lauren Bis said.
“This dirtbag was released into the country by the Biden Administration.”
“DHS is calling on sanctuary politicians in Dane County, Wisconsin to not release this criminal from jail back onto the streets to commit more crimes.”
“We need Wisconsin sanctuary politicians to cooperate with us to remove criminals from our country,” she added.Wisconsin sanctuary politicians MUST NOT RELEASE Julio Cesar Morales Jarquin, a Nicaraguan illegal alien who is charged with TWO COUNTS of SEXUAL ASSAULT of an elderly victim.

— Victor Nieves (@ItsVictorNieves) May 7, 2026Many reasonable people are asking if Mark Hamill just threatened President Trump.
On the heels of yet another assassination attempt, Hamill shared an AI image of the President dead in a shallow grave.
The Gateway Pundit reported,
A certain deranged Hollywood actor might be receiving a visit from the Secret Service soon after posting a disturbing photo and message that some could interpret as a threat to President Trump’s life. And the White House has taken notice.
“Star Wars” actor Mark Hamill, who previously slobbered over Barack Obama in a video promoting the former president’s new library, went on Bluesky and gloated over the idea of Trump living long enough to see a Democratic landslide in the midterms, and him being impeached and jailed.
“If Only…He should live long enough to witness his inevitable devastating loss in the midterms, be held accountable for his unprecedented corruption, impeached, convicted & humiliated for his countless crimes,” Hamill wrote.
“Long enough to realize he’ll be disgraced in the history books, forevermore.”.@MarkHamill is one sick individual.

OOPS: Iranians Strike Cargo Ship Owned by Their Chinese Allies in the Strait of Hormuz
AI by Grok – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi
Not a very friendly move by Tehran.
Just yesterday (6), the Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi was in Beijing, meeting with his counterpart, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
The two ministers reportedly discussed bilateral ties, the Iran-U.S. conflict, the Strait of Hormuz, and regional issues.
But today, as Araghchi is already back in Tehran, the unpredictable happened, with the Iranians reportedly striking a Chinese-owned cargo ship in the Hormuz waterways.

Donald Trump vs. the International Criminal Court
The Trump administration, asserting that the ICC has no legal authority over the United States or Israel as non-signatories to the Rome Statute, has imposed escalating sanctions on ICC officials to counter the court’s investigations targeting American and Israeli nationals.
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez wrote to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on May 6, 2026, calling on Brussels to activate the EU’s Blocking Statute to shield the International Criminal Court (ICC) and the United Nations from U.S. sanctions.
“Sanctioning those who defend international justice puts the entire human-rights system at risk,” Sánchez posted on X. “The EU cannot stand idly by in the face of this persecution.”
The request also covers UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese, whom the Trump administration sanctioned in July 2025, claiming her criticism of Israel helped prompt the ICC investigation.
The European Parliament passed resolutions calling for activation in July and September 2025, but the Commission, which holds the authority to trigger the mechanism, took no action and offered no public explanation for the delay.
The Netherlands, as the host country of the ICC, has agreed to advocate for activation of the EU Blocking Statute at the European level, with Dutch Justice Minister David van Weel stating that “the Netherlands is too small” to shield its banks alone.
Six judges, representing roughly one-third of the court’s bench, along with the three most senior officials in the Office of the Prosecutor, have already been sanctioned.
The EU’s Blocking Statute is a legal mechanism that prohibits European individuals and companies from complying with foreign sanctions deemed to have extraterritorial reach. Originally enacted in 1996 to counter U.S. sanctions on Cuba, Iran, and Libya, it was updated in 2018 after Washington reimposed sanctions on Iran following its withdrawal from the nuclear deal.
If activated, the statute would prohibit European banks, service providers, and institutions from treating officials of the ICC as sanctioned persons under U.S. law.
One targeted judge, Luz del Carmen Ibáñez Carranza of Peru, told reporters that the sanctions barred her from using credit cards, accessing dollar-based banking services, and using Western Union. She also said her daughter was denied a U.S. visa without explanation.
The dispute over the ICC is one front in a broader confrontation between Madrid and Washington. Spain denied the United States permission to use jointly operated military bases during operations against Iran, prompting President Donald Trump to threaten a suspension of trade with Spain.
Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has also called on the European Union to suspend its association agreement with Israel, arguing that governments violating international law should not benefit from privileged EU partnerships.
The sanctions trace back to February 6, 2025, when President Donald Trump signed Executive Order 14203, imposing asset freezes and visa bans on officials of the ICC involved in investigations of U.S. citizens or allies. The order immediately designated ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan for sanctions.
The executive order declared the ICC an “unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the U.S.,” citing the court’s November 2024 arrest warrants against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity related to Gaza. Trump signed the order during Netanyahu’s visit to Washington.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio later sanctioned four additional ICC judges in June 2025 and two more in December. In August, Rubio described the ICC as a “bankrupt institution” and “a national-security threat.” By May 2026, 11 ICC officials had been sanctioned by the Trump administration.
In December 2025, Middle East Eye reported that the Trump administration had privately conditioned the removal of sanctions on the ICC dropping its Palestine and Afghanistan investigations. According to the report, Washington also urged members of the Rome Statute to amend the treaty to prohibit prosecutions of nationals from non-signatory states, a move that would effectively grant blanket immunity to American and Israeli nationals.
The executive order defined “protected persons” as U.S. nationals, U.S. military personnel, and citizens or lawful residents of NATO allies or major non-NATO allies, a category that includes Israel, the Philippines, and 17 other countries. Under the order, any foreign person who assists the ICC in investigating a protected person without that country’s consent can be subjected to U.S. sanctions.
The legal foundation for the U.S. position predates President Trump. The American Servicemembers’ Protection Act (ASPA) was enacted in 2002 and is often referred to as the “Hague Invasion Act.” The law prohibits federal, state, and local governments from cooperating with the International Criminal Court and bars the transfer of classified intelligence to the court.
It also restricts U.S. participation in UN peacekeeping operations unless American troops are granted immunity. In addition, the law authorizes the president to use “all means necessary and appropriate” to free any U.S. or allied personnel detained by or on behalf of the ICC. That provision gave the law its nickname.
Trump’s 2025 executive order explicitly cited ASPA as its statutory basis.
The U.S. position against the ICC stretches back even further. At the 1998 Rome conference, the U.S. voted against adoption of the Rome Statute, joining only six other countries in opposition.
Yet U.S. law draws a precise distinction. The ASPA explicitly preserves the right to assist in the capture of foreign nationals wanted by the ICC.
The State Department’s Global Criminal Justice Rewards Program currently offers up to $5 million for information leading to the arrest and transfer of Joseph Kony, who has been wanted since 2005 for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Uganda, and Ahmad Harun, who is wanted for atrocities in Darfur. Congress expanded the program in 2013 to cover any international tribunal, including the ICC.
In the case of Kony, the U.S. deployed Special Forces to assist Ugandan authorities in the manhunt. Former President Joe Biden also welcomed the ICC arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin and publicly supported efforts to arrest him.
This is President Trump’s second use of sanctions against the ICC. In 2020, his administration sanctioned then-ICC Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda after she sought authorization for an Afghanistan investigation that included potential cases involving U.S. personnel.
Those sanctions were challenged in two federal lawsuits and later lifted by former President Joe Biden. Trump’s 2025 executive order is broader in scope, targeting a wider range of ICC officials, their family members, and any foreign person who materially assists investigations covered by the sanctions regime.
In response, 79 member states of the ICC issued a joint statement backing the court and condemning the sanctions. However, since the ICC has no authority over U.S. persons and President Trump hates the court, he is unlikely to be moved by the court’s joint statement.

More Bad News From Virginia That Gives Another Major Blow Against The 2nd Amendment And Against Pardoned J6er.
The U.S. Fourth Circuit has Upheld Hatchet Speed’s Ridiculous Conviction for Possessing Three Firearm Silencers (which were actually Solvent Drip Containers).
The case originated with a search over January 6, so Speed should be pardoned anyway! But Speed’s case has been forgotten.
Hatchet Speed of Virginia holds several records among J6ers. He is the only J6er who was subjected to THREE (3) trials and the only remaining J6er whose J6 pardon has never been applied to his clearly related case outside Washington, D.C.
Now the U.S. Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals (which covers federal courts in Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia) has issued a disgraceful ruling against Speed, the Second Amendment, and common sense. The 4th Circuit has upheld Speed’s “silencer” conviction and ruled that the Second Amendment does not apply to silencer possession.
Speed’s case has profound impacts on the status of the Second Amendment and firearm regulation nationwide.
Prior to Speed’s case, Americans have been able to purchase gun-cleaning solvent containers which can be threaded onto the barrels of firearms to catch and filter gun-cleaning fluids. Several manufacturers make variations that resemble firearm silencers in appearance. A purchaser could, with enough tools and ingenuity, drill and convert such containers into firearm silencers. The BATFE under the Biden Administration issued an “open letter” proclaiming a new interpretation that many solvent traps qualify as “firearm silencers” in November 2023. This means that every similar device must be registered, or its possessor faces up to five years in federal prison.
Despite Hatchet Speed’s case, these solvent traps are still sold over the counter at gun stores and online. Untold thousands of them are certainly in people’s drawers and on people’s shelves today. Little do the owners know that they can now be imprisoned for up to five years under the Fourth Circuit’s new ruling.Just a few examples of Solvent Trap kits
Virginia software developer Hatchet Speed was targeted by the FBI in 2021 after he entered the US Capitol on January 6. The FBI planted an undercover agent in Speed’s midst who posed as a like-minded anti-vaxxer and patriot. The undercover FBI agent secretly recorded Speed chitchatting about approaching end-times and hypothetical future conflicts between Christians and Jews. The FBI agent prodded Speed with leading questions about the potential for Speed’s solvent traps to be converted into silencers in the event of a future collapse of society. And the trial court held that these secretly recorded remarks proved Speed’s intent to convert the objects into silencers in the future.
IF YOU’D LIKE TO HELP HATCHET WITH HIS UPCOMING LEGAL BATTLE PLEASE CLICK HERE
A raid of Speed’s Virginia property in 2022 revealed the three solvent traps, still in their boxes with labels plainly saying the containers were gun cleaning accessories, in his storage unit. Speed was indicted in TWO districts (misdemeanor J6 charges in DC and “silencer” charges in the Eastern Dist. Of VA).
When Speed’s first jury in Virginia was hung regarding the bogus “silencer possession” case, and Speed refused to plead guilty to a J6 misdemeanor, federal prosecutors added an outrageous felony charge (“obstruction of an official proceeding”). (Note that later, in 2024, the Supreme Court ruled that such charges cannot be used against mere political demonstrators.)
Speed then had a SECOND trial on the (non)silencers in Richmond, and a trial in DC on the J6 case. Speed was ultimately convicted in both cases and given SEVEN years in prison (4 for the bogus “obstruction” case and 3 for the farcical (non)silencer-possession case).
On the night of Trump’s pardons of J6ers, the Bureau of Prisons released Speed. But later, Speed was told to report to U.S. Probation officers. His three-year “silencer” sentence was suddenly converted to 3 years of “supervised release” (without any court process).
TO HELP HATCHET CLICK HERE
Meanwhile, President Trump’s January 20, 2025 pardon of J6ers has been repeatedly held to apply to related firearm- and drug-possession cases involving OTHER J6ers. For example, Dan Wilson’s J6-related case of felon in possession of firearms was pardoned and dismissed; Elias Costianes’ possession of firearm/ammunition case was held to fall under the pardon; Jeremy Brown’s Florida prosecution for alleged possession of stolen grenades, unregistered rifle, and classified documents were covered by Trump’s J6 pardon; Daniel Ball’s illegal gun possession held to be covered by Trump’s pardon); Benjamin Martin (Gun possession by prohibited person held covered by the pardon); Peter Krill (conviction for possessing ammunition as a convicted felon covered by Trump’s pardon proclamation); Guy Reffitt (possession of firearm silencers held to be covered by the 1/20/25 pardon).
Speed’s lawyer, Roger Roots, admits he and Speed have gambled that they would win the silencer case on its merits, so they haven’t emphasized the subject of the pardon.
Both Roots and Speed were shocked when the 4th Circuit affirmed the silencer convictions.
“Hatchet is plainly innocent of these charges, so I haven’t been pushing the pardon issue,” says Roots. “Maybe that’s a mistake; I don’t know.”
Roots says Hatchet will seek a rehearing en banc by the entire Fourth Circuit. If denied, Hatchet intends to go to the U.S. Supreme Court.
Speed remains a convicted felon under the law.

BREAKING: Federal Trade Court Strikes Down Trump Backup Tariff Plan
The Federal Trade Court on Thursday struck down President Trump’s backup tariff plan after the Supreme Court blocked his other tariffs.
The US Supreme Court recently struck down President Trump’s tariffs in a 6-3 decision.
The Supreme Court said President Trump does not have the authority to impose the tariffs under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA).
The high court’s decision only invalidated Trump’s tariffs under the IEEPA.
President Trump imposed a 10% global tariff as a backup plan.
A small business filed a lawsuit in the international trade court challenging President Trump’s global tariff.
Reuters reported:
The U.S. trade court on Thursday ruled against President Donald Trump’s latest 10% global tariffs, finding across-the-board tariffs were not justified under a 1970s trade law.
The U.S. Court of International Trade ruled in favor of small businesses that challenged the tariffs, which took effect on February 24. The ruling was 2-1, with one judge saying it was premature to grant victory to the small business plaintiffs.
The Trump Administration previously asked for a 90-day delay in refunding the tariffs, but the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals denied the request.
The Federal Circuit Court of Appeals in March rejected the Trump Administration’s request to delay the Supreme Court’s ruling on tariffs.
Judge Richard Eaton, a Clinton appointee, recently said the Trump Administration must begin refunding $130 billion in tariffs.
