A “major” US Marshals hack compromised sensitive information.
According to NBC News, the breach happened over a week ago.
The Marshals Service “discovered a ransomware and data exfiltration event affecting a stand-alone USMS system” on February 17.
The Justice Department is investigating the breach.
NBC News reported:
The U.S. Marshals Service suffered a security breach over a week ago that compromises sensitive information, multiple senior U.S. law enforcement officials said Monday.
In a statement Monday, U.S. Marshals Service spokesperson Drew Wade acknowledged the breach, telling NBC News: “The affected system contains law enforcement sensitive information, including returns from legal process, administrative information, and personally identifiable information pertaining to subjects of USMS investigations, third parties, and certain USMS employees.”
Wade said the incident occurred Feb. 17, when the Marshals Service “discovered a ransomware and data exfiltration event affecting a stand-alone USMS system.”
The system was disconnected from the network, and the Justice Department began a forensic investigation, Wade said.
He added that on Wednesday, after the agency briefed senior department officials, “those officials determined that it constitutes a major incident.”

CNN may have new leadership, but the network is still a train wreck.
Chris Cuomo, who was their last permanent host in the 9 PM slot, was fired in December of 2021 but the network is still struggling to find someone to replace him.
They have had a rotating roster of hosts in the slot and nothing has worked. No one will stick or even comes close to cable news competitors like Sean Hannity at FOX or Rachel Maddow at MSNBC, who isn’t even a permamnent host anymore.

CNN hopes it’s finally hit upon a way to solve a long-vexing puzzle: What should it be airing at 9 p.m.? The solution requires the network to fit together many pieces.
Starting this week, the Warner Bros. Discovery-backed news outlet will fill the hour with a range of different special reports, all under the rubric of “CNN Primetime.” Future 9 p.m. hours could include one-on-one interviews with newsmakers; town halls that put government officials in direct contact with the people affected by policy decisions; and other programs that feature surprising “gets” and scoops.
The programming gambit backs away from the tried-and-true practice of relying on a single anchor or opinion host in the time slot, home to Sean Hannity, Alex Wagner and Rachel Maddow, and banks instead on creative ways of analyzing the news cycle.
CNN announced earlier Monday that anchor Laura Coates would on Wednesday at 9 p.m. gather defense and prosecution analysts and criminal trial veterans to examine the much-scrutinized Murdaugh double murder. On Thursday, anchor Sara Sidner will host what is billed as “a CNN Primetime event” that features White House correspondent Arlette Saenz interviewing First Lady Dr. Jill Biden during her visit to Africa. The First Lady is expected to address criticisms related to President Biden’s age in his potential quest for re-election.
Meanwhile, Jake Tapper is expected to interview Bill Maher — the comedian who hosts “Real Time” for CNN corporate sibling HBO — on Tuesday night at 9 p.m…
One of the advantages of the current “CNN Primetime” format is that it leaves things open to more tinkering. CNN could offer other new concepts at 9 p.m. in weeks to come. Another idea under consideration is special primetime editions of regular shows on the schedule that could feature those programs’ anchors with big scoops or interviews, according to the person familiar with the matter.
Interviews with Jill Biden and Bill Maher? CNN thinks that’s what’s going to save them?

The judge overseeing the Georgia special grand jury weighed in on the crazy forewoman who went on a media tour last week.
To be clear, the Georgia special grand jury cannot bring any indictments, they can only recommend indictments and District Attorney Fanni Willis would then have to pursue the case.
Fulton County judge Robert C. McBurney recently ordered parts of the grand jury report in the garbage Trump 2020 election investigation to be released as the prosecutor considers charges against Trump and his allies.
The grand jury concluded that “one or more witnesses” lied under oath and recommended perjury indictments.
“A majority of the Grand Jury believes that perjury may have been committed by one or more witnesses testifying before it,” the report said.
The forewoman of the jury, Emily Kohrs, did a series of disastrous media interviews last Tuesday.
She sounded like a 14-year-old child as she giggled about the possible indictments against Trump.
“I will be sad” if the DA decides against bringing charges against Trump, Kohrs said to CNN.

Judge McBurney told ABC News on Monday that jurors “can talk about the final report.”
However, it can become “problematic,” the judge told ABC.
ABC News reported:
After the foreperson of the Fulton County, Georgia, grand jury investigating former President Donald Trump and a push to overturn the 2020 election spoke out in several headline-making interviews, the judge overseeing the case told ABC News on Monday that jurors “can talk about the final report.”
But Judge Robert C. McBurney noted the matter can get “problematic” if jurors start to “synthesize the testimony” and the group’s thoughts on it.
McBurney said in an interview that after the grand jury submitted its report in January, he held a “farewell session,” at the request of the district attorney, in which he “reminded them of their oath, which is a statutory obligation that they not discuss with anyone outside their group their deliberations — that’s the one word that’s in the oath.”
McBurney emphasized that “it’s important for people to understand that witness testimony is not deliberations.”
“I explained you don’t talk about what the group discussed about the witnesses’ testimony, but you can talk about witness testimony,” he said. “You could talk about things that the assistant district attorneys told you. … And then finally, you can talk about the final report because that is the product of your deliberations, but it’s not your deliberations.”
Trump’s lawyers last week said Emily Kohrs “poisoned” potential jurors if a regular grand jury were to decide to issue indictments.
Lawyers for the Republican witnesses are preparing to quash any possible indictments after the Georgia grand jury forewoman went on a crazy media tour.

The game has been compared to as a more violent and dark version of the hit video game Among Us.

Investigative reporter Willliam J. Kelly reported at The Daily Mail on Monday that Chicago inmates are being pressured to illegally vote in the city’s mayoral election.
The inmates accuse Chicago guards of pushing them to illegally vote in tomorrow’s election.
The jail inmates told Kelly, “This is absolute vote harvesting.” 
The inmates have more integrity than the Chicago politicians.  Go figure.

Chicago inmates have claimed they are being pressured to illegally vote in the city’s mayoral election.
The inmates, some who are accused of murder, argued guards at Cook County Jail were pushing them to vote – despite some being registered in a different jurisdiction.
They claimed the guards were receiving orders from higher up and were ‘just doing what I’m told’ when confronted over the move.
It comes amid fears of ballot harvesting as insiders claimed the jail was the ‘ideal environment’ due to no cameras or election observers.
It also raised concerns it could propel Lori Lightfoot back into office, despite her languishing on just 13 percent in the polls.
One inmate, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, told DailyMail.com the guards didn’t seem to care that they might be breaking the law.
He said: ‘I asked him [the guard], ‘Did you ask people first if they’re registered to vote?’ And he said ‘no’.
‘I said but you should because if I’m registered to vote somewhere else like I am, you are asking me and enticing me to vote even though I’m registered somewhere else and that’s a felony. I can’t be voting in two different jurisdictions.’
He claims another guard told him that he was ‘just doing what I’m told’.
An inmate being held on murder charges, also says 21 of the 48 inmates in his Division 11, have already voted but none were asked if they were registered or eligible to vote.
‘They just say who wants to vote? Line up to vote,’ he said.
An unnamed source familiar with Cook County Jail said it is the ideal environment for ballot harvesting.

The investigation into the Biden Crime Family’s foreign business deals might be about to explode. A former associate of Hunter Biden claims he has damning information on the Bidens’ sordid foreign business deals.
The Washington Free Beacon revealed Monday that Gal Luft, the co-director of the Washington-based Institute for the Analysis of Global Security, says he provided details about Hunter Biden, his uncle, Jim Biden, and his father Joe Biden to the Trump Justice Department back in March 2019.
Luft was an adviser to CEFC China Energy, a business conglomerate with extremely close ties to the Chinese Communist Party. CEFC Energy paid Hunter $6 million in 2017 alone to secure energy deals in the United States according to the Washington Free Beacon.
Once Joe Biden assumed power, there was every reason to keep details on his and his family’s corruption hidden from the public. According to Luft, the Regime had him arrested on bogus weapon trafficking charges last month in an effort to silence him.
Now Luft is ready for payback. Luft’s lawyer told Biden’s DOJ that his client will submit a letter to Congress containing the information Luft previously gave to the FBI during the Trump Administration on the Bidens.

An Israeli think tank executive who served alongside Hunter Biden as an adviser to a Chinese energy conglomerate widely suspected of serving as a front for the Chinese Communist Party now says he provided the FBI with damning information about the Biden family’s foreign business dealings.
Gal Luft, the co-director of the Washington-based Institute for the Analysis of Global Security, says he provided information about Hunter Biden, his father, and his uncle, Jim Biden, to the Justice Department in March 2019. Luft served as an adviser to CEFC China Energy, The group, which donated at least $350,000 to Luft’s think tank, paid Hunter Biden at least $6 million in 2017 to procure energy investment deals in the United States.
Luft’s claims come as a former Hunter Biden business partner, Eric Schwerin, has started cooperating with the House Oversight Committee’s investigation of the Biden family’s foreign business dealings. Investigators have focused heavily on Hunter Biden’s work with CEFC China Energy. The Justice Department has investigated Hunter Biden since 2018 over his taxes and foreign business dealings, though the case appears to be focused on the first son’s unpaid taxes.
Luft’s threat to “name names” comes after his arrest in Cyprus on Feb. 16 on charges that he illegally sold weapons to Libya and China. Luft asserts that the United States is seeking his extradition as part of a “politically motivated” payback for his exposure of the Bidens.
“DOJ is trying to bury me to protect Joe, Jim & Hunter Biden,” Luft said. An Israeli lawyer for Luft claims his client provided information about Hunter Biden to the FBI in 2019.
While Luft’s claims might otherwise be easily dismissed as a bluff, his connection to CEFC China Energy suggests he may know something about the Bidens.
“Dr. Luft is a whistleblower,” Luft attorney Robert Henoch told the Washington Free Beacon. He asserts that prosecutors decided against pursuing Luft’s information “and are instead targeting him with trumped-up and false charges.”
“This unfortunately appears to be part of an attempt to discredit a witness with critical information about an ongoing congressional and DOJ investigation.”
Henoch did not further elaborate on the information Luft has on Biden. But the lawyer recently told the Justice Department he plans to submit a letter to Congress that will detail statements that Luft gave to the Justice Department during an interview in Belgium, according to documents obtained by the Free Beacon.

FOX News reported on a non-profit that is classifying companies based on their woke policies and actions.  The 1792 Exchange provides a list of 1,000 companies and rates them based on their efforts to support First Amendment freedoms and the American people.

A new project launched by the 1792 Exchange, a nonprofit organization, seeks to shed light on this important problem.
The 1792 Exchange recently launched its Spotlight Report, which assesses more than 1,000 companies’ “policies, practices, and other relevant criteria to determine the likelihood a company will cancel a contract or client, or boycott, divest, or deny services based on views or beliefs.”
The 1792 Exchange team then used those assessments to assign businesses to three categories — “Lower Risk,” “Medium Risk,” and “High Risk.”
…Perhaps the most influential groups of woke companies in the report are banks. Numerous large banks are using their financial might to effectively force business customers into adopting climate change policies, even when it will require that those customers dramatically change their business practices.

Joe Calvello, spokesman for Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA), posted an update on the Senator’s condition Monday, saying he is “doing well” but is expected to remain in the hospital for weeks. Unlike when Fetterman had his stroke last May, no photos or video of Fetterman were provided.
This is the first update on Fetterman’s condition since he checked himself into Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland on February 15 for treatment of clinical depression.

The absence of official information has led to rumors and speculation about Fetterman, however it was credibly reported this weekend that Fetterman was hospitalized because he was not able to sufficiently feed or hydrate himself, which led to his first hospitalization on February 8 for lightheadedness.
It should be noted that nearly every official statement on Fetterman’s health since the stroke last May has been deceptive, misleading or outright false.
Calvello’s statement:
“Re Sen. Fetterman: We don’t have a lot to update folks with since there’s no real news to report except that John is doing well, working with the wonderful doctors, and remains on a path to recovery…John is visiting with staff and family daily, and his staff are keeping him updated on Senate business and news. Our team is moving full speed ahead and working tirelessly for the people of Pennsylvania. Just last week we opened a new office in Erie and will be opening more…We understand the intense interest in John’s status and especially appreciate the flood of well-wishes. However, as we have said this will be a weeks-long process and while we will be sure to keep folks updated as it progresses, this is all there is to give by way of an update.”

Re Sen. Fetterman:
We don’t have a lot to update folks with since there’s no real news to report except that John is doing well, working with the wonderful doctors, and remains on a path to recovery.

Last week CNN reported that Fetterman was hospitalized because he could not take care of himself (excerpt):
“In someone who has pre-existing depression, it is possible that they may be more treatment resistant and have a history of failing medications. So as a result, they may require more aggressive treatment that can take several weeks and even into several months, depending on how they present,” said Dr. Daniel Bober, a psychiatrist in Hollywood, Florida.
“In someone who’s already had depression even before their stroke, this puts him at much greater risk and requires much more aggressive treatment,” Bober said.
Fetterman’s symptoms for depression included weight loss and loss of appetite, a source familiar with the matter said. He was not suicidal, the source said. His lack of eating and drinking water contributed to lightheadedness. He was hospitalized earlier this month in Washington, DC, after feeling lightheaded. His office said he had not had another stroke.
“Generally, the reason that someone presents to a hospital for a psychiatric condition like depression is because either they are acutely suicidal or they have been deemed unable to take care of themselves. And when I say unable to take care of themselves, I mean, their basic needs – food, hydration, hygiene – are all things that they’re required to do on a daily basis, and they are unable to do this due to the severity of their depression,” Bober said.
One reason to treat depression in the hospital is that care can happen faster. Doctors can try different approaches and pivot if something isn’t working, Cronenwett said.
Another reason is it’s safe.
“People with depression sometimes have trouble with activities of daily living. They may shut down or may stop eating. The hospital can support them in their activities of daily living. Some people may have thoughts about suicide, and the hospital can be a place of safety, while they are recovering,” Cronenwett said.

Fetterman’s wife Gisele, who stayed at home with their three children in Braddock, Pennsylvania when he went to the Senate last month, finally showed up at Walter Reed to comfort her husband last Thursday after fleeing the country with the couple’s children for a ziplining adventure in Canada at Niagara Falls.

UPDATE: Adam Jentleson, Fetterman’s chief of staff, retweeted a supporter on February 16 who dunked on Ben Domenech after Jentleson announced Fetterman’s hospitalization for a stroke. Domenech correctly asserted that Fetterman was hospitalized because he was a danger to himself. The supporter boasted that “No one was “fooled” into thinking Fett was healthy.”
Domenech, “John Fetterman hospitalized because he’s so depressed he’s a danger to himself. Everyone who manufactured this circumstance should think on their sins. So basically all of MSNBC.”

More important than running the senator’s D.C. office and overseeing the state offices, a chief’s job is to take care of his boss. Something Jentleson utterly failed at. After just six weeks in office he let his boss get so overwhelmed that it wasn’t until he was hospitalized twice that he acknowledged how sick Fetterman is.
