  • ‘Cease and Desist’: Virginia Attorney General Demands Fairfax County Middle School Stop Race-Based Discrimination

    Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares sent a formal letter to the middle school currently at the center of a controversy regarding racial discrimination against white and asian students.
    Miyares in his letter demanded that Cooper Middle School, part of Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS), stop discriminating students who were applying for their College Partnership Program (CPP) courses based on race. In an email that went out to students and parents on March 1st, the invitation to apply for the CPP specifically addressed black, hispanic, multi-racial students, as well as students with disabilities, those who did not speak English as a first language, those living in poverty, and those who would be the first in their families to attend college.
    “Please cease and desist the illegal conduct of soliciting and selecting applicants to the College Partnership Program based on race, color, and national origin,” demanded Miyares in his letter to Cooper Middle School’s principle, highlighting that their conduct violated the Virginia Human Rights Act.

    False Narratives?
    Attorney General Miyares also requested that by March 17th, the school provide evidence that they have “retracted and corrected” their original CPP invitation, and that all applications be processed in a way that was “nondiscriminatory and legal in manner.” His letter also added that this correspondence would, as The Epoch Times stated,  “act as a litigation hold, preventing the school and its officers from deleting records.”
    Miyares issued a press release after sending the letter, stating:
    “It’s shocking that we continue to find such blatant examples of racial and ethnic discrimination in the Fairfax County Public School System. Every student should be able to apply for the College Partnership Program and have the same opportunities as their peers regardless of race… I demand that Cooper Middle School, its administrators, and anyone involved in this program stop this illegal discrimination immediately.”
    FCPS replied to the AG’s statement, calling his description of events “wholly inaccurate.”
    “We are disappointed that no one from the Office of the Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Virginia contacted Fairfax County Public Schools to check on the authenticity of these reports,” said a spokesperson for FCPS in a statement given to The Epoch Times who had reached out for further comments. “Instead, false and damaging public accusations against Cooper Middle School have been made.”
    “In fact, in School Year 2022-23, 352 Asian students (17.4 percent) and 176 white students (8.7 percent) out of a total of 2,018 students were enrolled in the program, which is designed to encourage historically underrepresented groups to consider a path to college,” the FCPS representative added. “Publishing false narratives like this undermines public school efforts to boost U.S. educational achievement.”

    But What About the Email?
    During The Epoch Times’ correspondence with FCPS, the district’s spokesperson would not comment on the email from Cooper Middle School that sparked this situation.
    One father of an asian FCPS student who spoke with the Times ,who wished to remain unnamed, stated that he was “concerned” that the school seemed to have invited only black and hispanic students into the CPP, saying “This is not right. It’s not right.”
    Victoria LaCivita, the spokeswoman for Miyares’ office, told the press that “The email from Cooper Middle School speaks for itself and, in the judgement of the Attorney General, violates the law.”
    “That is why Attorney General Miyares has demanded a correction to the email,” she continued. “If FCPS truly wants to boost educational achievement and not undermine it, it should stop sending emails like the on it did. Discrimination has no place in education, and Attorney General Miyares will continue to demand that it stops.”

    The Red Cross is Providing Maps to Illegals Showing Them How to Effectively Cross the Border Into the United States

    The Daily Caller News Foundation has obtained maps and other information guides produced by the American Red Cross which contain instructions on how illegal migrants attempting to cross into the United States can do so safely and without getting caught.
    According to Daily Caller reporter Jennie Taer, the map which is “part of a packet stamped with the International Committee of the Red Cross and American Red Cross logos, shows a list of resources, including hotels, clinics and shelters where migrants can get support in Mexico and Central America.”
    Additionally, other parts of the map also show defined paths which take the travelers directly to cities along the U.S./Mexican border. Some of the routes listed take the illegals directly to El Paso, Texas; Nogales, Arizona; and McAllen, Texas.
    Going a step further into encouraging this illegal and dangerous move, the packet also provides a guide to “self care” which has instructions and advice on how to survive the desert and various diseases one is most likely to contract, as well as how to “safely jump on trains,” and “how to obtain contraceptives.” 
    Ironically, these are the products of taxpayer dollars, since the U.S. government directly funds Red Cross efforts upwards of millions of dollars into dealing with illegal migrants within our country.

    Not Helping
    The American Red Cross not only seems to be very blatantly helping facilitate the travel of illegal migrants into the country, but they do so at the same time collecting millions in tax payer funds to provide aid to those same migrants once they are inside our borders.
    The non-profit organization is a member of the board of the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Food and Shelter Program, where they received $350 million alone from the Department of Homeland Security in February of this year alone. Part of their mission is to provide resources to support migrants who have been captured illegally entering the United States and await processing for their court date.
    This discovery comes at a time when the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has reported an overwhelming rise in the number of illegals breaking into the country from the Mexican border. Federal authorities in 2022 reportedly encountered roughly 2.3 million illegals.

    Making the Situation Worse
    By encouraging illegal entry into the United States, the Red Cross is only making an already dangerous situation way worse.
    According to Taer, “Many migrants from countries beyond Central America travel through Panama’s Darien Gap, where Panamanian authorities say there have been 50 known migrant deaths in 2022.”
    The Wall Street Journal also reported that between May through September of 2021, 180 rape cases were identified as well at the Darien Gap.
    Despite this, the Red Cross has provided their own solution for handling the potential sexual assaults and rapes that may occur— advice on where to find contraceptives.
    “If you use contraceptives methods, don’t forget to bring them with you,” the self-care document states. “In necessary cases, some Red Cross’ clinics and medical brigades will give them to you for free.”
    Being raped and dying in the desert is already scary, but hopping onto a train is a different level of hard, however, the Red Cross guide has that covered too with instructions on how to jump on a cargo train traveling north.
    “In the desert during the day, temperatures are extreme. Seek to bring with you lots of potable water, pants and long sleeves to protect you from the sun and maintain the sweat humidity. Also take with you warm clothes, gloves to protect your hands and a flashlight and matches,” says the guides.
    “Traveling seated (on trains) is the most recommended. Be careful on your trip, there are branches, electric cables, tunnels that can hit you. Accommodate yourself where you have supporting points.”
    The International Committee of the Red Cross did not deny providing the maps and guides when contacted by the Daily Caller, in fact they doubled down.
    “Every day around the world, people make the difficult decision to leave their homes and their counties in pursuit of a safer place to live and hope for a better future. Families migrate for different reasons, such as conflict, violence, natural disasters, or other reasons. The international Committee of the Red Cross, as part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, does not prevent nor does it encourage migration. We aim to help prevent and mitigate the humanitarian consequences that migration can bring – including separation and loss of family contacts, disappearances, serious medical issues and even death,” said a representative for the International Committee of the Red Cross to the Daily Caller.
    “Our approach to migrants is strictly humanitarian. We provide information about ways to reduce risk and where to find lifesaving assistance in Mexico and Central America,” they continued. “It is essential to prevent the loss of lives and to promote a humanitarian approach. Addressing the needs of this vulnerable population is a shared responsibility, of the authorities in the countries of origin, transit and destination, and of the international community.”

  • New York Times Claims ‘Pro-Ukrainian’ Group Sabotaged Nord Stream Pipelines

    If you are a conspiracy theorist or a fan of international intrigue and mystery, then perhaps the biggest Golden Egg is the question: Who sabotaged the Nord Stream pipelines?
    Last September, explosions rocked the Baltic Sea, decimating the Russian pipelines that would deliver fuel to Germany had they not invaded Ukraine.
    Initially, fingers bizarrely pointed at Russia because the Russian government would naturally teach the world a lesson by blowing up their pipeline that would provide massive amounts of revenue. Russia countered that this was an attack orchestrated by elements in the West.
    So who did it? Was it Russia, the Ukrainians, the United States, the Brits, or rogue underwater vigilantes? The New York Times published a piece this week alleging that it could be a ‘pro-Ukrainian’ group that detonated the explosives that burst Russia’s pipelines.

    Unnamed Officials
    The New York Times article primarily used the information they had received from, you guessed it… anonymous, unnamed U.S. officials. The piece opens up with, “New intelligence reviewed by U.S officials suggests that a pro-Ukrainian group carried out the attack on the Nord Stream pipelines last year, a step toward determining responsibility for an act of sabotage that has confounded investigators on both sides of the Atlantic for months.”
    What department are these U.S. officials from? Your guess is as good as mine, dear reader, but aren’t we and the rest of the world lucky that the United States has finally made strides toward solving this mystery?
    The piece continues, “U.S. officials said there was much they did not know about the perpetrators and their affiliations.” However, they knew they were “opponents of President Vladimir Putin.” 
    Now that’s interesting; you don’t know much about these explosive men of mystery, except you know for sure that they don’t like Putin.
    “U.S. officials declined to disclose the nature of the intelligence, how it was obtained, or any details of the strength of the evidence it contains.”
    Yet, the New York Times still published this flimsy information. I can see it now, unnamed U.S. official in a sharp suit meets New York Times reporters somewhere discreet to say something like “Look, I got a great scoop for you, we have intel that says a pro-Ukrainian group blew up Nord Stream, but the intel is sparse, and I won’t tell you anything else about it.”
    I mean, damn, how can you not jump on that juicy lede?

    Our Fault… But Not Really
    Perhaps the best part of this ridiculous New York Times article is this next bit which was clearly the goal of the U.S. officials, to distract from the latest and ongoing chatter that this was a western operation. “Officials who have reviewed the intelligence said they believed the saboteurs were most likely Ukrainian or Russian nationals, or some combination of the two.”
    Because that makes sense that Ukrainians and Russians would work together on anything. What a lovely sentiment.
    How embarrassing for Putin if it was Russian nationals; what an excellent narrative that Putin is losing his grip on his constituents so much so that they would sabotage the pipeline. The officials went on to make sure to add that “no American or British nationals were involved.”
    Gee, for not knowing much from this intelligence, these U.S. officials seem confident on some key points. The article goes on to reveal that these U.S. officials believe that the explosives “were most likely planted with the help of experienced divers who did not appear to be working for military or intelligence services.”
    Again, that’s an awfully detailed leap for hazy intelligence. Here’s the cherry on top of this government intelligence leak, “it is possible that the perpetrators received specialized government training in the past.”
    Oh boy, it’s getting pretty thick in here.

    Timing is Everything
    Interestingly, this New York Times piece came out about a month after another scathing, much more detailed article was published by one of their former journalists. Acclaimed investigative journalist Seymour Hersh published a report in his Substack newsletter alleging that U.S. Navy divers planted explosives under the direction of the CIA with the passive assistance of the Norwegian government.
    Mr. Hersh states that we orchestrated this operation under the ruse of a NATO exercise, BALTOPS 22. The source Mr. Hersh had for his article was an anonymous one, which is primarily what mainstream outlets used to try to discredit his work. 
    Suppose you need to familiarize yourself with Mr. Hersh’s previous work. In that case, Sy is a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist known for exposing government cover-ups such as the My Lai massacre during the Vietnam War. However, in his latest years, he’s been widely criticized for his reliance on ‘unnamed sources’ backing up some pretty hefty accusations, including this recent one surrounding the pipelines.
    It seems a bit like the pot calling the kettle black. Mainstream media, particularly his prior employer, The New York Times, loves to jump on unnamed sources. 
    When asked about The New York Times article’s credibility, Hersh stated, “I don’t want to get into it. You should decide for yourself. It’s up to you.”
    When the piece broke, National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said, “It is not true. The United States, and no proxies of the United States had anything to do with that, nothing.”
    Now, a month later, U.S. officials claim to be able to confirm that, albeit unable to confirm anything else.

    The Art of Government Deception
    Deception is a skill utilized by all major governments and their military apparatuses. This New York Times piece is a perfect example of this subterfuge at work.
    Find a reporter and an outlet favorable to publishing what we want, leak just enough intelligence or manufacture said intelligence, and wait for the free press to execute the information fake out. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov rightly argued that this article was “a coordinated spread of disinformation in the media.”

    They would know, according to the Democrats and our government, the Kremlin is the expert on disinformation. Mr. Peskov went on to state that this was a “coordinated fake news media campaign” orchestrated by those who attacked the pipeline in an effort to “divert attention.” 
    While I think Mr. Peskov is correct, the question is, will this diversion work? It would require the European officials investigating the pipeline sabotage to play ball, and their willingness to do so is up in the air.
    Publicly European officials have said that what they’ve found is that, more than likely, the attack was state-sponsored, which doesn’t fit this new narrative sold by these unnamed U.S. officials. Will we ever know who did it?
    Doubtful. But it’s fair to say that the United States is easily a ‘pro-Ukrainian’ group, so perhaps we know the truth, or a watered-down, elusive version.

  • Florida AG Slams Biden After White House Says No Need To Designate Cartels As Terrorists

    Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody called President Joe Biden “trafficker-in-chief” Thursday in response to a White House spokesperson saying there’s no need to designate Mexican cartels as Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs).
    On Wednesday, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters, “Designating these cartels as FTOs would not grant us any additional authorities that we don’t really have at this time. The United States has powerful sanctions authorities specifically designated to combat narcotics trafficking organizations and the individuals and entities that enable them.”
    Jean-Pierre added: “In the last few months alone Treasury has announced a series of actions against cartels that are dangerous to the public safety and we have also taken action that further enables Treasury to sanction foreign persons,” referring to the Treasury Department sanctioning members of the CJNG cartel and several Mexican companies linked to it last week, and sanctioning Sinaloa Cartel members and Mexican companies last month.
    Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares led a coalition of 22 attorneys general last month calling on the president to designate the cartels as FTOs. Last September, Moody also led a coalition of 18 attorneys general calling on Biden to designate fentanyl as a weapon of mass destruction. In September, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signed an executive order designating the Sinaloa and CJNG cartels as FTOs and called on the president to do the same. None received a response, until Jean-Pierre’s comments Wednesday.
    In response, Abbott tweeted Thursday, “Texas designated Mexican cartels as terrorist organizations last year. I’ve repeatedly urged Biden to do the same. Now, 2 Americans were shot & killed by cartels just across the Texas border. It’s past time for Biden to step up & call these cartels what they are: terrorists.”
    Abbott’s press office also confirmed that he hasn’t heard from the president since he hand-delivered a border security plan to him in January listing five actions Biden could take to immediately secure the border.

    Moody tweeted the president is now “Trafficker-in-Chief” citing his failure to secure the border, enabling human and drug trafficking facilitated by Mexican cartels.
    In a statement emailed to The Center Square, she said the president “preventing the Mexican drug cartels from being designated federal terrorist organizations (which they are) [is] further evidence that he is the Trafficker-in Chief.”
    She thanked Florida’s senior U.S. Sen. Rick Scott and Sen. Roger Marshall, R-Kansas, for introducing the Drug Cartel Terrorist Designation Act, which Moody said will “do the job Biden refuses to do – protect the American people.”
    The senators filed the bill on Wednesday to formally designate four Mexican cartels as FTOs: the Reynosa/Los Metros faction of the Gulf Cartel, Cartel Del Noreste faction of Los Zetas, the Jalisco New Generation Cartel and the Sinaloa cartel. The bill would prohibit individuals from entering the U.S. who knowingly provide “material support or resources” to these cartels. It also would ban any foreign citizen from entering the U.S. who are members of the designated cartels, or are formally associated with them or who have “engaged in terrorist activity” relating to them.
    “For too long, Biden’s botched border policies have prioritized criminals and cartels over legal immigration and Americans’ safety,” Scott said. “Dictators, cartels and bad guys around the world know that Biden is a weak appeaser with open border policies. They’re taking full advantage by trafficking evil drugs like fentanyl across the southern border, poisoning our communities and killing our loved ones. Those who knowingly distribute these highly lethal drugs are declaring war on Americans and deserve to be held accountable and classified as the terrorists they are.”

    Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen, who joined the attorneys general coalitions, told The Center Square, “The Biden administration’s response to the border crisis has been feckless and an abject failure – and Americans are dying as a result. … President Biden must take stronger action to secure the border and protect Americans, and he needs to do it now.”
    Mexican cartels are “assassinating rivals and government officials, ambushing, and killing Americans at the border, and engaging in an armed insurgency against the Mexican government,” the coalition argues. “This dangerous terrorist activity occurring at our border will not abate unless we escalate our response.”
    Earlier this year, Biden said his plan to address the fentanyl crisis involved having “more drug detection machines,” implementing greater inspection of cargo to “stop pills and powder [coming in through] the border,” “working with couriers, like FedEx, to inspect more packages for drugs,” and implementing “strong penalties to crack down on fentanyl trafficking.”

    The FDIC insures up to $250,000 per depositor, per FDIC-insured bank, per ownership category.  If customers were holding more than that amount then they are at risk of losing anything over $250,000.  According to earlier reports, 90% of SVB customers had more than $250,000 in the bank.
    Customers also lined up in New York City.

    The NYPD responded to a Silicon Valley Bank branch in Manhattan Friday morning after investors showed up to try to pull money out of their accounts.
    Silicon Valley Bank on Friday was shut down by regulators in the biggest bank failure since the 2008 liquidity crisis with $173 billion in holdings.
    The Fed interest rate is at 4.57% and $117 billion of Silicon Valley Bank securities are yielding only 1.56-1.66% – this is causing a run on the bank.
    California regulators shut down the bank and the FDIC took over.

    In the same thread, Taibbi shared that Non-Government Organizations (NGOs), like the GEC or the Department of Defense funded Newsgard, the fake fact-checker which has spent years harassing The Gateway Pundit, are part of an effort to shut down conservative media.  They do this by publishing fake and false fact-checks and then using these to attack the honest media and share with their advertisers to reduce their income.

    US Rep. Matt Gaetz did a superb job of laying this out in his 5-minute rebuttal in the House yesterday.

    ‘Teacher of the Year’ Arrested at School, Charged with Child Sex Abuse and Child Pornography

    A San Diego County “Teacher of the Year” has been arrested twice on charges related to child sex abuse and child pornography.
    Jacqueline Ma was arrested Thursday and faces 14 charges relating to possession of child pornography, sexual exploitation of a child and “preventing or dissuading a witness or victim,” the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said, according to KNSD.
    On Tuesday, Ma had been arrested on three counts of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14 and three counts of oral copulation with a child under 14, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.
    Ma, a sixth-grade teacher at Lincoln Acres Elementary School in National City, had been out on bail from the first set of charges when the second set was filed. Her first arrest took place on school grounds, according to KNSD.

    Aileen Carillo said her younger brother had been a student of Ma’s and described the teacher’s communication with him as “over the top,” according to the New York Post.
    “She would go to my brother’s games in Tijuana every weekend. She went to one of his birthday parties, everything,” Carillo said.
    “Honestly, I used to tell my mom, ‘Why is she always texting my brother?’ And she had contact, too, but the way she was always checking in with my brother, I thought it was nice at first, like she really cares, but I’ve had a lot of impactful teachers that didn’t have to be that close,” she said.
    Ma was named one of five 2022-2023 San Diego County Teachers of the Year in a contest sponsored by Cox. She said after being awarded the honor that she “considers the relationships she maintains with her students her greatest accomplishments.” according to KNSD.
    Superintendent Leighangela Brady released a statement on Ma’s second arrest.

    “While this entire situation is indeed deeply troubling, we appreciate that law enforcement is dedicating resources to secure the facts and keeping our school district and community informed of their progress,” the statement said.
    “We know that our entire school community is as stunned as we were by this news.”
    “I want to confirm to our school community that the employee is on leave and will not be returning to the campus. I am grateful to our entire school community for facing this situation with a shared commitment to do all that we can to maintain our children’s education without interruption,” the statement said.
    National City police said they began their investigation after a parent of a 13-year-old voiced a concern that the child may have been having an inappropriate relationship with a former teacher.
    Police did not reveal when the alleged abuse took place.
    Parent Sonia Gutierrez, whose son attends third grade, said Ma had been at the school since 2013, according to KSWB-TV.
    “I just hope it doesn’t repeat itself or there’s no more children because if there was that one, there could be more. We don’t know. They might be scared to tell,” she said.

    We have no idea who is visiting Joe Biden every weekend in Delaware.
    When asked who is coming and going to Biden’s Delaware home, the White House said it’s none of our business.

    According to a recent analysis by Fox News, Biden’s frequent Delaware vacations have cost taxpayers at least $11 million.
    Marine One costs approximately $20,000 per hour and Air Force One costs $177,843 per hour, according to Department of Defense documents.
    Fox News reported that Joe Biden has taken over 100 flights between Delaware and DC since he was installed in January 2021.

    Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia bucked his own party, blocking a Joe Biden nominee to the Department of the Interior over her vocal climate change activism.
    Manchin may be a Democrat, but he represents a state that relies on energy production as a pillar of its economy.
    Manchin also blasted the Biden administration for pandering to climate change radicals, which is absolutely correct.

    Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., the chairman of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, announced Friday he will block a key Department of Interior (DOI) nominee from moving forward over her climate activism.
    Manchin noted that his decision — which effectively kills President Biden’s nomination of Laura Daniel-Davis to serve as DOI’s assistant secretary for land and minerals management — came in response to an internal agency memo that was leaked last week. The memo showed that Daniel-Davis, who holds a lower position at DOI, signed off on an explicit decision to prioritize climate policies over energy security.
    “Today, I have also decided, as chairman of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, that I will not be moving forward the nomination of Laura Daniel-Davis as assistant secretary of the Department of Interior,” Manchin wrote in an op-ed for The Houston Chronicle.

    Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., accusing the Biden administration of pandering to climate activists, is threatening not to support its nominees going forward.
    Manchin made his comments in a column posted by the Houston Chronicle on Friday.
    “Now, as energy leaders from across the world are gathered in Houston for the annual CERAWeek conference, the issue of America’s energy security and the role of the Inflation Reduction Act [IRA] to address this challenge will no doubt be top of mind,” he wrote.
    “The fact is that the IRA was and is shaped to achieve one goal — energy security — by utilizing all our nation’s abundant resources. While the Biden Administration has continued to play political games and incorrectly frame the IRA as a climate change legislation, the truth is that the IRA is about securing America’s energy independence for the coming century.
    The left is absolutely obsessed with climate change. It’s driving a majority of policy decisions in the Biden White House and they clearly don’t care about the effect this is having on the economy and average Americans.

    Musk’s acknowledgment of the unjust imprisonment of Jacob Chansley is a huge victory to January 6th prisoners who have been for the most part ignored or demonized by people in high places as Musk.
