I served in the Air Force for over 20 years. Anyone who has worn the uniform knows that to dedicate two decades of your life to service requires that your occupation becomes who you are. 
I had adopted the core values of my service as my own over the years; Integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence in All We Do. So when, in the last few years of my service, I began witnessing gross violations of these values by my military branch in the name of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, I found I could no longer serve in a system that favored physical traits over proven ability.
I recently read two articles on diversity in the military, one from Politico and one written by a friend who still serves. Both pieces were interesting and enlightening; however, a voice I feel is missing from the diversity in the military debate – the voice of someone like me.

Misplaced Priorities
Those in the Profession of Arms aim to take the fight to the bad guys and win. Unfortunately, we have been doing little ‘winning’ lately.

My husband and I are veterans of the Forever War, with numerous tours to Iraq and Afghanistan under our belts. We both lost friends in the war, my husband bore witness to terrible atrocities and saw combat a considerable number of times. Things that are still with him to this day – and what do we have to show for it?
Instead of focusing on training and equipping ourselves to win wars, the DOD has spent excessive time and money on DEI initiatives. For example, last year, the DOD budget had $86.5 million for “diversity and inclusion activities.” 
Involvement in the DEI complex is good money, as discovered by Senator Eric Schmitt from Missouri, who shed light on the fact that DEI employees in the military are paid three figures.
In a letter he wrote to Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, Senator Schmitt wrote:
“America’s adversaries will not be defeated by spending six figures to hire DEI administrators.”
And he’s not wrong.

Swinging The Pendulum Too Far
Diversity and inclusion are essential and valuable in any organization, including the military – however, like most best-intentioned initiatives, the execution is where we fall short. As a woman in the military, I faced my fair share of ridiculous obstacles, including sexism.
Even as a senior leader, I was reminded that there was always someone in my ranks and the meetings I attended who felt I was less than them based on my gender. Sometimes even my bosses preferred I sit pretty and be a secretary while the big men made all the decisions. It mattered little to these machismo wannabes that I was more intelligent and capable than they ever would be.

In the article, my friend wrote in Military Times titled ‘Don’t just accommodate women in the military. Integrate!’ Sam Sliney explains how even now, women are often an afterthought in military units and within policy due to the system’s inability to evolve. This is perfectly highlighted in the fact that there is still work being done to get women injured while in combat roles the benefits they are entitled to in what is known as ‘The Jax Act.’ 
So, as an advocate for making it easier for women to get the same treatment as men in uniform, why am I so critical of the DEI initiatives that are supposedly in place to help elevate minorities such as women?
Because I need mutual respect, not elevation, DEI doesn’t offer me or anyone respect but instead acts as a money pit to elevate ideology.

The current U.S. military — run by woke generals who push “White Rage” and DEI garbage — lost in Afghanistan, can’t hit recruiting goals, and now can’t even keep sensitive intel from leaking to the enemy. Should we now trust it to fight a forever war against Russia in Ukraine?

Making It Worse
I have witnessed sexism and racism in the military since I was a young Airman; after all, it is a human-run organization, and anything involving humans will have inevitable if inexcusable foibles. However, what sickened me the most was what I saw ingrained in the leadership tiers once I joined their ranks.
It started simple, Colonels and Chiefs would apply pressure on Commanders and other leaders to swap out award winners with those who were black or other minority groups, whether they had met the requirements or not. And when minorities in the unit, whether minorities based on sex or race, achieved something worthy of celebration, their fanfare would be much more pronounced than if a white male Airman had accomplished something of equal value.
And then the murder of George Floyd happened. All senior enlisted leaders were forced to convene in a conference room to discuss the incident and how it impacted the base community where I was stationed at the time.
Quickly, the conversation devolved into Chiefs insisting that white people must acknowledge our privilege, understand that we must admit that we have unconscious racism, and to question this ideology is to be insubordinate. But, unlike many in that room who outranked me, I refused to do this, and I still won’t.

I am not a racist, and I will not live my life apologizing or diminishing my accomplishments based solely on my skin color.
In the recent hearings on ‘wokeism’ in the DOD, Congressman Jim Banks said of the embrace of DEI in the services:
“…they may very well be increasing racism and division in our military.”
And he’s not wrong.

Hit The Nail On The Head
Shawn Skelly is the DOD’s highest-ranking transgender official as the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Readiness.
In the Politico piece on her, she’s quoted as saying:
“If people understand that they’re not going to get a fair shake, because they come from a specific ethnic origin, or based on their identity, or based on who they love, we are going to be worse off because not enough Americans are going to want to be a part of the U.S. military.”

And while for some of you, this may shock you to hear me say, she’s not wrong. It’s precisely why I chose to retire when I did. I was passed over for a position for the sole reason that I didn’t look diverse enough. 
It didn’t matter that I was the best candidate; what mattered was that I was white, and being a female wasn’t enough to push me over the minority test – not that I would’ve ever wanted a job because of my anatomy. I never cared much about what someone looked like; I come from a generation that was told not to see skin color.
I never cared who someone loved; affairs of the heart are beyond my comprehension, and only God knows why our hearts are drawn to one another. And to be honest, I don’t care if someone ‘identifies’ as a different gender than the one they were born into.
What I do care about is when I am forced to carte blanche accept someone’s “lived reality” while silencing and apologizing for who I am of which I can’t control – a white heterosexual female. That is not equity, that is not diversity, and that is not inclusion. 
And that is why the military loses valuable talent like myself and many others. Until we start to care about our voices as much as we care about those peddled by DEI consulting firms, we will continue to be less effective and lethal.

A judge in California has ordered San Jose’s Calvary Chapel church to pay $1.2 million in fines for violating COVID lockdown rules, particularly regarding the use of masks.
The ruling was handed down by Superior Court Judge Evette Pennypacker, whose name is reminiscent of a Dickens or “Seinfeld” character, a registered Democrat appointed by former Governor Jerry Brown in 2018.
Pennypacker opined that the church should pay fines for violating Santa Clara County’s mask mandate during the peak of the pandemic.
“It should appear clear to all – regardless of religious affiliation – that wearing a mask while worshiping one’s god and communing with other congregants is a simple, unobtrusive, giving way to protect others while still exercising your right to religious freedom,” the judge wrote.

If that weren’t wild enough, the ruling accuses the church of risking people’s lives.
“Defendants repeatedly refused to model, much less, enforce this gesture,” Pennypacker declared.
“Instead, they repeatedly flouted their refusal to comply with the Public Health Orders and urged others to do so ‘who cares what the cost,’ including death.”

Church Fined For Violating COVID Mask Rules
Keep in mind that this ruling was just handed down last week.
Pennypacker wasn’t claiming masks “protect others” and not wearing them leads to “death” deep in the throes of the pandemic when people were petrified and willing to trust the so-called ‘experts’ blindly.
She still clearly believes what she’s peddling. Worse, she’s punishing a church for ultimately being on the right side of history.
One has to assume that most people have finally come to the realization that these mitigation efforts aren’t what they were touted as. Whether the media or Democrats are willing to admit to that publicly is another thing.
A scientific review published by Cochrane Library in February found that “wearing a mask may make little to no difference in how many people caught a flu-like illness/COVID-like illness.”
Another study published just this past week showed that masks in hospitals – one of the last places that kept enforcing the rules despite being the one place that should know better – did very little to prevent the spread of COVID.
Judge Pennypacker – the sham is over. The mask is off so to speak.

Will the Church Fight Back?
The Washington Free Beacon reports the Calvary church has filed a separate federal lawsuit against Santa Clara officials. That filing remains pending in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
They also outline the lengths to which officials in the county became overbearing tyrants during the lockdowns.
“Court documents in both cases reveal that Santa Clara County mounted rigorous surveillance of the church and its individual members, even tracking members’ movements through cell phone data and paying researchers to analyze the results,” they explained.
And Democrats are always calling everybody else ‘fascists.’

Robert Tyler, the president of the religious liberty firm Advocates for Faith and Freedom, which is arguing the case, hinted that the fight might be heading to the highest court.
“This case will not likely end until the U.S. Supreme Court rebukes Santa Clara County again,” said Tyler. “The opinion is very deficient in its analysis and provides for an excellent appeal.”
That’s putting it mildly.

The Biden administration is reportedly looking at expanding how it “monitors” social media sites and chatrooms going forward in response to recently leaked classified Pentagon documents that have rocked the national security community.
NBC News cited a senior administration official and a congressional official in a report indicating the administration was “dismayed” that the documents had been leaked online perhaps over a month ago and somehow escaped scrutiny by the intelligence community.
The documents, which were posted to Discord, an online chat app, apparently reveal spying techniques by the United States on both allies and enemies alike, along with intelligence on the war in Ukraine that paints a very different picture of what the public has been told.
Jack Teixeira, a 21-year-old Air National Guardsman, has been arrested as a suspect in the case. He is set to appear in a federal courtroom this morning.

Pentagon Leak May Lead to More Spying on Americans
One senior administration official told NBC that “nobody is happy about” the leak having circulated for weeks on end before being detected by federal agents.
“The administration is now looking at expanding the universe of online sites that intelligence agencies and law enforcement authorities track,” the report contends.
“The intelligence community is now grappling with how it can scrub platforms like Discord in search of relevant material to avoid a similar leak in the future,” another official claimed.

Expanding spying on social media websites and chat apps is the exact response you’d expect from a government hell-bent on pervading every aspect of American life.
It doesn’t address how a 21-year-old had access to Pentagon papers at the highest classification levels.
Nor does it address the revelations in those leaked documents – That despite being told Ukraine is winning the war against Russia, their air defenses are in peril.
And, that despite government indications to the contrary, there are actually American boots on the ground in Ukraine.
The Daily Mail is reporting that over a dozen American special forces are on the ground in Ukraine, operating in a warzone against Russian forces, according to some of the papers.
The government has been lying to you, the documents show, but the real problem is how they were made public.

Maybe It’s the Intel Community’s Incompetence That is the Problem
Sure there were fundamental flaws in the handling of classified documents and the chain of command that led a 21-year-old to get access to highly sensitive, world affair-altering Pentagon documents.
But that’s not the problem. It’s gamers chatting it up in their Discord channels that must be spied on.
And sure they don’t seem interested in finding out who the person who dropped pipe bombs off on January 6th might be. Or the Supreme Court abortion ruling leaker. Or anybody on the Epstein client list.
But the average American – Bet your ass they’re going to use this incident to come after you.

The Pentagon document leak itself revealed that the United States is spying on just about everybody.
So it wouldn’t be a stretch for them to start foaming at the mouth in anticipation of expanding their spying powers to social media.
The government, after all, has used other overblown threats as a springboard for such action in the past.
Politico reported in a striking column in 2021 that the United States Postal Inspection Service’s Internet Covert Operations Program – or iCOP – sprang into action just five days after the events at the Capitol.
It was a ‘covert operations program’ that monitored Americans’ social media activity following the January 6 Capitol riot. The Post Office.

So the postal service now spies on their customers..

They had the US Postal Service spying on social media platforms. They had the Patriot Act, something the ACLU describes as “the first of many changes to surveillance laws that made it easier for the government to spy on ordinary Americans.”
And yet Teixeira was able to post leaked Pentagon documents online for months without anybody stumbling onto them. Additinally, he was tracked down first by online sleuths and reporters before authorities showed up at his home.
Maybe, and hear me out, maybe it’s incompetence – perpetual incompetence – in the intelligence community that is the problem here, and not some young kids on gaming apps.

Ron Paul, the former Republican presidential candidate and libertarian icon, believes a coup has already occurred in American politics, beginning on the day John F. Kennedy (JFK) was “murdered by our government.”
Paul made the bombshell statement during Tuesday’s two-hour interview with the “TimCast IRL” podcast.
The former congressman and father of Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) began a segment by suggesting “there’s been a coup” in American politics already.
“We don’t have any resemblance to a government that believes in a republic,” he said.

You didn’t think this was swept under the rug, did you?
A lot of what’s reverberating around all of us is still, to this day, rooted in his assassination.

Ron Paul: JFK Was Murdered by the CIA
In the interview, Paul pivoted to selective outrage directed toward Republican George Santos, the embattled congressman currently ensnared in numerous local and federal probes due to a history of lying.
“I got to thinking, well, how many of these people that were complaining about this guy telling lies, how many of them lied when they raised their hand up and swore to uphold the Constitution?” Paul wondered.
“Now, that’s a lie that really has consequences.”
He described those swearing to uphold the Constitution but refusing to do so as fomenting “the real lies.”
“I do believe there has been a coup, and it’s been taken over,” continued Paul.
“And if I want to if I can, I want to just put the date in my mind, and anybody could pick probably any date in the last hundred years. But I have picked November 22, 1963.”
When asked by the interviewer what that date symbolizes Paul replied: “That was the day Kennedy was murdered by our government. You know, by the CIA.”

Dramatically Changed America
The Ron Paul Insititute seemed to recognize that its chairman had “stirred up some attention” with his assertion that the United States government murdered JFK.
“The assassination Paul describes as a coup that helped dramatically changed the nature of America,” they told readers.
While the media attempts to paint people who believe as Paul does as radical malcontents, polls consistently show that a majority of Americans believe President Kennedy was murdered by a conspiracy, not a lone gunman.

Since the assassination, Paul believes America has reached a point where “we don’t have honest money, we don’t have integrity, we don’t even have people in Washington that even pretend that you’re supposed to tell the truth.”
Fox News host Tucker Carlson several months ago made a similar assertion about JFK being murdered, alleging President Richard Nixon was removed from office because he apparently knew the CIA was involved.

“On June 23, 1972, Nixon met with the then–CIA director, Richard Helms, at the White House,” Carlson explained.
“During the conversation, which thankfully was tape-recorded, Nixon suggested he knew ‘who shot John,’ meaning President John F. Kennedy.”
“Nixon further implied that the CIA was directly involved in Kennedy’s assassination, which we now know it was,” he added. “Helms’s telling response? Total silence.”

Richard Helms, of course, was the CIA Director of Plans starting in 1962.
The Fox News host has pushed the claim previously, even going so far as to suggest an unnamed source has informed him that the CIA was involved in JFK’s assassination.

Carlson claimed to have spoken to somebody who had access to hidden CIA documents that remain withheld from the public.

“Did the CIA have a hand in the murder of John F. Kennedy, an American President?” he asked the source.
“The answer is yes. I believe they were involved. It’s a whole different country from what we thought it was. It’s all fake,” was their alleged response.
The White House ordered the release of thousands of documents on the murder of President John Fitzgerald Kennedy in full for the first time this past December, though they have yet to release all documents.
A 1992 law required the government to release all documents pertaining to the assassination by October 2017.
Despite the latest document dump, the National Archives revealed that 515 documents would remain withheld in full, and another 2,545 documents would be partially withheld.
Almost 60 years after JFK’s assassination, documents remain under wraps. For what possible reason could this be? Where is the transparency?

Brian Stelter, the former ‘media reporter’ for CNN has a new job, which is going to allow him to continue his favorite activity of obsessing over FOX News.
Stelter has been hired by Vanity Fair magazine to cover the ongoing Dominion lawsuit against FOX News.
Stelter spent about 95 percent of his time on CNN talking about FOX News, so this is a good fit for him.

Brian Stelter, the former CNN media correspondent who was fired last August amid the network’s purge of partisan and controversial personalities, on Monday announced he found a new gig, as a correspondent for Vanity Fair.
Stelter said he would take up a temporary position at Vanity Fair covering the trial over Dominion Voting Systems’ lawsuit against Fox News. Stelter’s CNN segment Reliable Sources was canceled in August after new company leadership pushed to reduce partisan reporting.
“I’ll be writing weekly columns about Dominion v. Fox and hosting a special edition of VF’s ‘Inside the Hive’ podcast, called ‘Fox on Trial,’ with new episodes each Thursday until there’s a verdict,” Stelter announced on Twitter.
Dominion Voting Systems’ lawsuit against Fox News accuses the network of spreading false claims about the company’s voting machines and software after the 2020 presidential election.
Vanity Fair reported in August that Stelter’s TV segment, Reliable Sources, was scrapped under new CNN chief Chris Licht in an effort to reduce partisanship in CNN coverage.

As we recently noted, Walmart is closing four stores in Chicago.
The leadership at Walmart never came out and said it, but shoplifting and theft are obviously the problem that has led to these stores losing millions and deciding to close.
And now, the Democrats who run Chicago and have allowed crime to flourish in the city, are outraged at Walmart for pulling out of the community.

South Side Leaders Demand Meeting With Walmart, Threaten Boycott As Mega-Retailer Closes 4 Neighborhood Stores
Aziz Rupshi was at the doctor’s office with his mother when he found out Chatham’s Walmart, where he owns and operates a Subway sandwich shop, would soon close.
Rupshi has run his shop inside the South Side Walmart for years, he said. The grocery store is constantly humming with customers, Rupshi said.
Rupshi got the word as many others did: local news.
“I looked it up at the TV [at the doctor’s office], and I was like, ‘That’s our store.’ Nobody told us. No notification, no nothing,” Rupshi said.
Rupshi joined fellow business owners, South Side community leaders and elected officials in a Thursday protest outside the Chatham store to excoriate Walmart officials for abruptly closing four full-service locations, primarily on the South and West sides, due to poor sales…
Walmart officials should “put the brakes on” and meet with the community before closing up shop Sunday, Pfleger said.
If the company refuses to cooperate, leaving communities with “large, empty buildings and a desert of resources,” leaders are prepared to host another demonstration outside an Evergreen Park location, Pfleger said. They’ll also boycott the company, he said.
“If Walmart leaves us, we will leave Walmart,” Pfleger said.
Walmart has demonstrated “corporate racism and corporate greed,” Alderman-elect William Hall (6th) said. If Walmart doesn’t agree to invest in the community, “we will disinvest across the nation,” Hall said.

If people in Chicago are angry about Walmart leaving, they should direct their rage at these community leaders who have allowed criminals to act without any consequences.
The ‘food deserts’ that are created by the departure of these stores is the fault of these political leaders, not the people who run Walmart.

Conservative students who are part of Turning Point USA were exhibiting at a table on campus at the University of Washington, when a trans activist approached their table and flipped it over.
This is one of the reasons why taxpayers will never consent to funding ‘free’ college. Why should all taxpayers pay for college when half of the country is not even welcome on most college campuses?
You’ll notice that this person mentions the ‘genocide’ of trans people, a lie that has been promoted by Democrats and the media.

A transgender activist went rogue at the University of Washington, confronting a Turning Point USA student group accusing them of supporting “the genocide of trans kids.”
Footage of the incident captured a trans protestor, who appeared to be a man wearing a dress and a mask (outdoors), attacking the conservative group, calling them “dumb b**tches.”
“Yeah, you just support the genocide of trans kids,” the trans activist said; in return, one of the TPUSA representatives said, “That’s such an assumption.”
The TPUSA rep asked the extreme liberal to point out what exactly is “anti-trans” on their information table.
The transgender flipped the table, sending all the material flying across the pavement while shouting, “Get the f*** off my campus, you Nazi!”
Transgender activists have increasingly become more angry and dangerous as the trans movement becomes more “acceptable” as the radical Left pushes for its normalcy.

The trans community has so many people on their side. Democrats, the media, Hollywood, academia and more. Yet it’s never enough support.
Trans activists seem to live in a perpetual state of rage.
