Indiana RINO Bloodbath: MAGA Takes Indiana State Senate After Trump Seeks Revenge by Ousting RINOs Who Killed 9R-0D Redistricting Map

Several RINO Indiana State Senators on Tuesday evening lost their primary elections.
Trump-endorsed candidates swept Indiana on Tuesday night.
In December, President Trump unleashed on the spineless Indiana Republicans who just torpedoed a slam-dunk redistricting bill that would have handed the GOP a crushing 9-0 congressional stranglehold on the Hoosier State.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, the Indiana State Senate stunningly killed a proposed congressional redistricting map that would have locked in a 9 Republican – 0 Democrat congressional delegation, even though Republicans hold 40 of the chamber’s 50 seats.
The bill failed after more than half of Senate Republicans voted AGAINST it, effectively doing the Democrats’ work for them.
    21 REPUBLICANS WHO VOTED NO:
    Eric Bassler
    Vaneta Becker
    Mike Bohacek
    Rodric Bray
    Brian Buchanan
    James Buck
    Ed Charbonneau
    Mike Crider
    Spencer Deery
    Dan Dernulc
    Blake Doriot
    Susan Glick
    Greg Goode
    Travis Holdman
    Jean Leising
    Ryan Mishler
    Rick Niemeyer
    Linda Rogers
    Mark Spencer
    Kyle Walker
    Greg Walker
The move comes as Democrats aggressively gerrymander congressional maps in blue states to cancel out Republican votes nationwide, a strategy Indiana GOP leadership chose not to counter.
In December, President Trump vowed to primary the Indiana RINOs who defied him.

President Trump went off on the RINOs again on Tuesday ahead of the primary elections:
“Good luck to those Great Indiana Senate Candidates who are running against people who couldn’t care less about our Country, or about keeping the Majority in Congress. There are eight Great Patriots running against long seated RINOS — Let’s see how those RINOS do tonight!” Trump said.

Trump-endorsed candidates swept Indiana! At least five of the RINOs were unseated on Tuesday night.
    NBC News reported:
State Sen. Travis Holdman, who has served in the Senate since 2008 and is the third-most powerful Republican in the chamber, was defeated by real estate agent Blake Fiechter.
80-year-old state Sen. Jim Buck was unseated by Tipton County Commission member Tracey Powell after serving in the Legislature since 1994.
Buck, who was facing his first primary since joining the state Senate in 2008, had the support of Mike Pence, the former vice president and Indiana governor.
State Sen. Greg Walker was set to retire last year after 20 years in the chamber, but reversed course amid the redistricting fight, where he notably broke down in tears speaking about his fear for the future of the party if the Legislature caved to Trump’s demands.
He lost Tuesday to state Rep. Michelle Davis, who launched her campaign before Walker decided to run again, but ended up staying in the primary race and won Trump’s endorsement.
Elsewhere, state Sen. Linda Rogers, who owns and manages a golf course and a home building company, lost her primary to Dr. Brian Schmutzler, an anesthesiologist.
And state Sen. Dan Dernulc, who represents a district in the northern part of the state near Chicago, was defeated by Trevor De Vries, an insurance broker.
But one state senator who drew Trump’s ire, Greg Goode, won his primary Tuesday. Goode bested Vigo County Council member Brenda Wilson, who was backed by Trump, and Alexandra Wilson, a network engineer.

Man Accused of Starting Palisades Fire Had Become Obsessed With Leftist Ideas According to Prosecutors

New court filings show that the alleged arsonist who started the January 2025 Pacific Palisades fire in California is a deranged leftist who hated capitalism, resented the rich, and was angry at the world.
As a reminder, these are the hallmarks of today’s unhinged, anti-American, anti-social left.
These findings were presented in a memorandum filed last week in the case United States vs. Jonathan Rinderknecht, ahead of his June 8 trial.
Rinderknecht has been charged with three federal felony counts for starting the Palisades Fire, which killed 12 people, destroyed 7,000 homes and businesses, and caused $150 billion in damages.
In the weeks preceding the arson, Rinderknecht’s online searches included phrases such as “lets kill all the billionaires,” “let’s take down all the billionaires,” and “free Luigi Mangione,” according to WESH-TV.

NEW: The arsonist behind the Palisades Fire in California that killed 12 people was a far-left terrorist who was fueled by a “resentment of the rich.”
Jonathan Rinderknecht, 30, was obsessed with a health care CEO killer and had routinely searched “free Luigi Mangione.”

    — The Mercian (@TheMercianNews) May 5, 2026

Mangione is currently in jail awaiting trial for the December 2024 assassination of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
Mangione’s personal journal entries suggested he targeted the insurance executive because of his intense hatred for the American for-profit health insurance industry, which he called a “greed-fueled cartel.”
According to the memo in Rinderknecht’s case, the leftist lunatic — who worked as an Uber driver in the weeks preceding the Palisades fire — ranted against capitalism and whined about Mangione’s arrest.
“Many of defendant’s Uber passengers on December 31, 2024 and January 1, 2025, described defendant as angry, intense, driving erratically, and ranting about being ‘pissed off at the world’ and Luigi Mangione, capitalism, and vigilantism,” prosecutors wrote, per the New York Post.
“When asked why someone would ultimately set the blaze, Rinderknecht allegedly responded that it ‘would be out of resentment of the rich enjoying their money as ‘we’re basically being enslaved by them,’ and compared such an act of ‘desperation’ to the murder for which Mangione was charged,” according to the pretrial memo.
In a nutshell, Rinderknecht is the poster boy for today’s deranged left, whose primary characteristics are emotional incontinence, violence, and fetishization of criminality.
It’s not surprising that Rinderknecht romanticized accused assassin Luigi Mangione, since liberals constantly lionize criminals while undermining the safety of law-abiding Americans.
In the months preceding the Palisades fire, Democrats and their media puppets beclowned themselves by falsely blaming “climate change” for the massive blaze that, in reality, seems to have been caused by a left-wing arsonist.

The DOJ just announced the arrest of an arsonist for starting the Palisades fire.
Here was Bernie Sanders in January blaming it on climate change. https://t.co/6KutkUS6bX
    — Greg Price (@greg_price11) October 8, 2025

By constantly downplaying left-wing lawlessness and promoting toxic, social engineering agendas, Democrats and their media comrades are emboldening political assassinations, property destruction, and national suicide.

Panicking Virginia Democrats Now Think Their Gerrymander Will Fail in Court, Triggering Infighting: Report

Virginia Democrats won a narrow victory that could turn into a black eye for the party.
In a clip posted to the social media platform X, former Democratic strategist Dan Turrentine reported that leading Democrats in the Old Dominion believe their redistricting plan, approved by voters last month, will not survive in court.
“What I was told is they now think it’s less than 50 percent that the court will let the certification go through,” Turrentine said in a clip posted to the social media platform X.
“The time, they don’t believe, is on their side,” he added moments later. “And what apparently transpired over the weekend — and this person would know; they’re in contact with the people I’m about to say — is that the governor’s staff is now snipping at the Senate majority leader and House Speaker that they warned them last fall this would not pass legal review.”
Turrentine made those comments on “The Huddle” podcast, which he co-hosts with journalist Rachael Bade and former White House press secretary Sean Spicer.
In other words, Democratic Gov. Abigail Spanberger’s office doubted the legality of Democrats’ redistricting plan. But Democrats in the General Assembly went forward with it anyway.

Virginia’s April 21 referendum took place despite serious judicial scrutiny.
Earlier this year, for instance, a Tazewell County judge blocked the redistricting proposal, citing problems with procedure and language. The Virginia Supreme Court then permitted the referendum but signaled that it likely would review the redistricting plan, no matter the vote’s outcome.
Last month, more than three million Virginians went to the polls. Buoyed by affluent voters in northern Virginia’s Washington D.C., suburbs, the referendum passed by less than 100,000 votes.
If allowed to stand, the redistricting plan could give Virginia Democrats a 10:1 edge in the state’s U.S. House delegation. That advantage currently stands at 6:5.
Courts, however, have not viewed the plan favorably.
For instance, the same Tazewell County judge immediately ruled the referendum’s votes “ineffective.”
Then, the Virginia Supreme Court denied Democrats’ urgent request to stay the lower court’s injunction against certification.
The drama in Virginia has unfolded against the backdrop of a nationwide battle over redistricting ahead of the 2026 midterms.
On Wednesday, the Supreme Court invalidated the practice of racial gerrymandering. By a 6-3 majority, SCOTUS ruled that the 1965 Voting Rights Act does not require or authorize states to draw congressional districts with race-based outcomes in mind, but in fact prohibits the practice.
SCOTUS, however, has not invalidated the general practice of political gerrymandering as seen in Virginia and elsewhere.

WATCH: ‘Pawn Stars’ Star Rick Harrison Slams Biden, Praises Trump as ‘Maybe the Best President Ever’ During White House Small Business Summit

Rick Harrison, the star of “Pawn Stars” and owner of the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas, didn’t hold back in his praise for the current administration when he was handed the microphone at the White House on Monday.
Standing beside President Donald Trump during a small business summit, Harrison made clear exactly where he stands.
“I’m a history buff and I know a lot about this White House thing and everything,” he said. “Literally, he’s going to go down as maybe the best president ever. I love this guy.”
Harrison didn’t stop there. He pointed directly to Trump’s policies and what they’ve meant for people like him.
“God bless you for letting me get 100 percent depreciation. It really helps out,” he said.

NEW: Pawn Stars’ Rick Harrison joins President Trump at the White House:

    — Fox News (@FoxNews) May 4, 2026

“I just want to say he’s amazing. He’s done so much.”
At the same time, Harrison took aim at former President Joe Biden, accusing his inept administration of treating business owners like “bad people” who weren’t paying their “fair share.”
That very real contrast is actually exactly what separates Democrats from Republicans.
Republicans rightly treat small businesses like they’re the engine of the country.
The left treats entrepreneurs like they’re a problem that has to be managed.
Trump’s stance, and the reason someone like Harrison responds to it, is simple — cut taxes, ease the rules a bit, and let people build something without getting crushed for it.
That may sound like basic logic, but none of it matters to people who have never had to make payroll or worry about keeping the lights on.
Democrats tend to frame the economy in a very different way than Republicans.
It’s less about what people can build and who they can hire, and more about what the government is owed from the work of others.

While pawn shops are often viewed as predatory, let’s not forget that Harrison took a single pawn shop in Las Vegas and turned it into a national brand.
He did it through years of making deals, taking risks, and building something so special that it’s now a tourist destination.
The business didn’t just grow on its own. It created work for other small operators — the people who restore items, estimate value, and fix, clean, and move inventory for Harrison and people like him.
That’s the part that gets lost in the bigger political arguments Democrats make when they demand people who create jobs start funding their color revolution.
Small businesses don’t exist on islands where the owner lives in luxury.
When they grow, other businesses grow with them. When they fail, others struggle too.
Harrison has spent his life running a pawn shop, which means he deals with cash, risk, and tough decisions every single day.
One mistake can cancel out the good deals made before and after it:

The last thing people in that position need is to have Big Brother hovering over them and dipping into their wallets.

  • RFK Jr. Launches His Latest MAHA Project — Getting Americans Off Antidepressants

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on Monday announced a new federal initiative aimed at reducing the overprescription of psychiatric medications.
The effort, unveiled during a Make America Healthy Again Institute summit on mental health and overmedicalization, will focus on what Kennedy described as a more cautious and transparent approach to psychiatric treatment.
    Kennedy said during his address
Today, we take clear and decisive action to confront our nation’s mental health crisis by addressing the overuse of psychiatric medications, especially among children.
The United States does not just face a mental health crisis, we face a dependency crisis driven by overmedicalization.
One in 10 6 American adults takes an antidepressant. One in 10 children are on prescription medication for their mental health.
30 percent of college students report using psychiatric medications in the past year. In nursing homes, more than half of the residents are on prescribed antidepressants.
That’s not a marginal issue. This is a system-level pattern. Too many patients begin treatment without a clear understanding of the risks… or how to come off of them.
    That’s not informed consent.

As part of the initiative, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration will produce a report examining psychiatric prescribing trends across the country.
Senior HHS officials also issued a “Dear Colleague” letter stating that psychiatric medications “should not be understood as the only treatment option.”
Kennedy has long questioned the scale of psychiatric drug use and has raised concerns about antidepressants and other medications being prescribed too aggressively, particularly to young people.
There are also well-documented connections between SSRI use and mass shootings, although the science remains contentious.

Italy’s Meloni Denounces Deepfake Lingerie Picture of Her That’s Gone Viral

Meloni said that the fake image ‘improved’ her.
As the first female Prime Minister of Italy, conservative Giorgia Meloni battles all sorts of prejudices: from her being a woman to her being a right-winger.
One of the weapons used against her by unscrupulous trolls and enemies is deepfakes.
Today, Meloni denounced the circulation of a deepfake photo of her in bed, wearing lingerie.
The Prime Minister complained that these AI images are being used to attack her.
    Associated Press reported:
“Meloni shared the photo in question on Facebook. She included with it an apparent post from someone named Roberto who apparently had himself shared it on social media with the commentary that Meloni should be ‘ashamed’ of herself.
Meloni warned against sharing such images on social media without verifying them.
[…] It wasn’t immediately clear if Meloni would report the incident to law enforcement, as she was urged to do by people commenting on her post. She acknowledged though that the photo manipulation ‘actually made me look a lot better’.”

“In these days, several fake photos of me are circulating, generated with artificial intelligence and passed off as real by some zealous opponent. I must admit that whoever created them, at least in the attached case, has also improved me quite a bit. But the fact remains that, just to attack and invent falsehoods, nowadays anything at all is used. The point, however, goes beyond me. Deepfakes are a dangerous tool, because they can deceive, manipulate, and strike anyone. I can defend myself. Many others cannot. For this reason, one rule should always apply: verify before believing, and believe before sharing. Because today it happens to me, tomorrow it can happen to anyone.”

President Trump Pauses ‘Project Freedom’ Amid Effort to Finalize Agreement with Iran – Blockade to Remain in Full Force

President Trump on Tuesday announced that at the request of Pakistan, he has temporarily paused Project Freedom – which was meant to ensure safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz.
    Full statement from President Trump:
Based on the request of Pakistan and other Countries, the tremendous Military Success that we have had during the Campaign against the Country of Iran and, additionally, the fact that Great Progress has been made toward a Complete and Final Agreement with Representatives of Iran, we have mutually agreed that, while the Blockade will remain in full force and effect, Project Freedom (The Movement of Ships through the Strait of Hormuz) will be paused for a short period of time to see whether or not the Agreement can be finalized and signed. President DONALD J. TRUMP

President Trump announced Project Freedom on Sunday:
Countries from all over the World, almost all of which are not involved in the Middle Eastern dispute going on so visibly, and violently, for all to see, have asked the United States if we could help free up their Ships, which are locked up in the Strait of Hormuz, on something which they have absolutely nothing to do with — They are merely neutral and innocent bystanders! For the good of Iran, the Middle East, and the United States, we have told these Countries that we will guide their Ships safely out of these restricted Waterways, so that they can freely and ably get on with their business.
Again, these are Ships from areas of the World that are not in any way involved with that which is currently taking place in the Middle East. I have told my Representatives to inform them that we will use best efforts to get their Ships and Crews safely out of the Strait.
In all cases, they said they will not be returning until the area becomes safe for navigation, and everything else. This process, Project Freedom, will begin Monday morning, Middle East time.
I am fully aware that my Representatives are having very positive discussions with the Country of Iran, and that these discussions could lead to something very positive for all. The Ship movement is merely meant to free up people, companies, and Countries that have done absolutely nothing wrong — They are victims of circumstance.
This is a Humanitarian gesture on behalf of the United States, Middle Eastern Countries but, in particular, the Country of Iran. Many of these Ships are running low on food, and everything else necessary for largescale crews to stay on board in a healthy and sanitary manner.
I think it would go a long way in showing Goodwill on behalf of all of those who have been fighting so strenuously over the last number of months. If, in any way, this Humanitarian process is interfered with, that interference will, unfortunately, have to be dealt with forcefully. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

The left did not care when illegal aliens were abusing women, children, and the elderly.
Will they care now that it is innocent puppies being abused by criminal illegal aliens?
    The Gateway Pundit reported,
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has arrested a British illegal alien accused of repeatedly torturing dogs at a Las Vegas animal shelter where he worked, the Department of Homeland Security announced Monday.
John Young Cotter Johnstone, 38, an illegal alien from the United Kingdom, was taken into ICE custody after local authorities honored an immigration detainer.
Johnstone faces four felony charges of willfully torturing, maiming, or mutilating animals.
On April 1, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department arrested Johnstone following a month-long animal cruelty investigation at Working Dogs of Nevada, a rescue facility.
Police obtained videos showing Johnstone using excessive shock collars on dogs, including young puppies, stepping on their leashes to violently yank their heads to the ground, and swinging the dogs around in mid-air by their leashes.
Johnstone had entered the United States in 2021 under the Visa Waiver Program but overstayed his authorized departure date of February 2022.
The left has no value for the sanctity of human life, but maybe their bleeding hearts will seek justice for the puppies?
Suicidal immigration policies impact every aspect of American life.
There is no escaping or avoiding the issue. Without mass deportations, stories like this one are the least of our concerns.

  • Iran as a Global Threat: A 26-Year Record of State-Sponsored Attacks

Iran as a Global Threat: A 26-Year Record of State-Sponsored Attacks

Iran is the world’s most documented state sponsor of terrorism, having conducted or directed attacks across more than 20 countries over 26 years, killing Americans, Europeans, Arabs, Jews, and Australians on every continent.
In recent months, a revisionist narrative has taken hold across media, social media, and Democrat lawmakers, one that attempts to recast Iran as the victim in a conflict it has spent decades fueling. They claim that Tehran was subjected to unprovoked aggression, that the threat it posed was exaggerated or manufactured, and that the Trump administration constructed a pretext for war.
But this argument depends on ignoring a well-documented history of Iranian state-sponsored violence. Over the past 26 years, Iran has demonstrated a clear and sustained pattern of launching direct attacks or directing proxy militias to carry out attacks on infrastructure, international shipping, and foreign forces.
What follows is a chronological account of confirmed Iranian attacks, both direct and through proxies, drawn from Pentagon data, federal court rulings, 9/11 Commission findings, State Department terrorist designations, Australian Security Intelligence Organization assessments, and allied government intelligence reports.
The record spans 26 years, more than 20 countries, and thousands of casualties. The victims were not exclusively American or Israeli. They were Lebanese, Saudi, Yemeni, Kuwaiti, Emirati, Bahraini, Qatari, Iraqi, Afghan, Australian, Cypriot, and Jordanian.
The Early Record: 2000–2003: The period most revisionists ignore begins before the Iraq War, before the Trump administration, and before any of the policy decisions now cited as Iranian grievances.
In October 2000, a U.S. federal judge ruled that Iran was directly involved in establishing al-Qaeda’s Yemen network through Hezbollah, providing training and logistics support that contributed to the bombing of the USS Cole in Aden harbor, which killed 17 American sailors. The following year, the 9/11 Commission found strong evidence that Iran facilitated the transit of al-Qaeda members into and out of Afghanistan before the September 11 attacks, with at least eight of the future hijackers passing through Iranian territory between October 2000 and February 2001.
In August 2001, an Iran-backed Hamas terrorist killed three Americans in the Sbarro pizzeria bombing in Jerusalem. In July 2002, a Hamas bomb at Hebrew University killed five Americans and four others. In January 2002, Israeli naval commandos intercepted the Karine-A in the Red Sea, a vessel carrying more than 50 tons of Iranian weapons and explosives bound for Palestinian terrorist organizations. In October 2003, Iran-backed operatives killed three U.S. diplomatic personnel in Gaza.
The most consequential phase of Iran’s proxy war against the United States unfolded in Iraq between 2003 and 2011. The U.S. Department of Defense documented that Iran-backed militias, principally Kataib Hezbollah and Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, both trained, armed, and directed by the IRGC Quds Force, were responsible for at least 603 American troop deaths, roughly one in every six American combat fatalities during that period. The weapons of choice were explosively formed penetrators, armor-piercing devices manufactured in Iran and smuggled across the border.
In January 2007, IRGC-linked operatives disguised as U.S. soldiers entered a compound in Karbala and killed five American troops. U.S. satellite imagery later revealed that a full-scale mockup of the compound had been constructed inside Iran for training purposes. The State Department later offered a $15 million reward for information on the IRGC Quds Force commander who planned the attack. Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq alone conducted more than 6,000 attacks on U.S. and coalition forces between 2006 and 2011, by the group’s own accounting.
In February 2005, former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafic Hariri was killed along with 21 others in a Beirut truck bombing. The UN Special Tribunal for Lebanon subsequently convicted a Hezbollah operative in the killing.
In the summer of 2006, Iran moved beyond proxy direction into direct operational involvement. During the Second Lebanon War, IRGC operatives were assessed to have directly participated in Hezbollah’s rocket operations against Israel, with hundreds of Revolutionary Guard personnel present at Hezbollah outposts. Iran supplied the long-range missiles that struck Israeli cities.
Between 2011 and 2013, Iran sponsored at least 30 terrorist attacks in countries with no military involvement in the Middle East — Thailand, India, Nigeria, Kenya, and others. In October 2011, the FBI and DEA disrupted an IRGC Quds Force-directed plot to assassinate the Saudi ambassador in Washington, with the Justice Department confirming the operation was recruited, funded, and directed by senior Quds Force officials, including knowledge at the level of Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani. Plans also included bombing the Saudi and Israeli embassies in Washington.
Syria, Yemen, and the Expansion of the Proxy Network: Beginning in 2012, Iran deployed Hezbollah, Afghan and Pakistani Shia militias, and IRGC regular forces into Syria to preserve the Assad regime, spending an estimated $16 billion through 2020. The IRGC had been supporting Yemen’s Houthi movement since at least 2011.
After the Houthis seized Sanaa in September 2014 and forced the internationally recognized government from power in 2015, Iran escalated arms deliveries, providing ballistic missiles, drones, and anti-ship weapons. In September 2019, Houthi forces struck the Abqaiq and Khurais oil facilities in Saudi Arabia, cutting the kingdom’s oil output by 50 percent, the largest disruption to global energy markets since Iraq’s 1990 invasion of Kuwait.
Beginning in November 2023, the Houthis launched the most sustained attack on international commercial shipping since World War II. By March 2025, they had struck more than 130 vessels, sinking four, seizing one, and killing at least eight seafarers. The U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency recovered Iran’s Tolu-4 missile engine from a struck Norwegian vessel, and U.S. officials confirmed Iran was directly assisting Houthi targeting of American military drones. Ships flagged in Greece, Norway, Malta, Portugal, Panama, and Liberia were struck, nations with no military role in the Middle East.
Container shipping through the Suez Canal dropped 90 percent. Freight rates between Shanghai and Rotterdam increased sevenfold. The Russell Group estimated that $1 trillion in goods were disrupted between October 2023 and May 2024 alone. Fifteen percent of global seaborne trade, including 12 percent of traded oil and 8 percent of liquefied natural gas, was effectively blocked by a militia armed, trained, and directed by Tehran.
In June 2019, CENTCOM video evidence showed IRGC naval personnel removing an unexploded limpet mine from a Japanese-owned tanker in the Gulf of Oman, one of two vessels struck in waters through which roughly 20 percent of globally traded oil passes. In December 2019, Kataib Hezbollah killed an American contractor at K1 base in Kirkuk. When the United States responded by killing IRGC commander Qassem Soleimani in January 2020, Iran retaliated with a direct ballistic missile strike on Ain al-Assad Airbase in Iraq, injuring more than 100 American troops.
In January 2024, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, an umbrella coalition of IRGC-backed militias led by Kataib Hezbollah, killed three American service members at Tower 22 in Jordan, part of a campaign in which Iran-backed militias conducted more than 180 attacks on U.S. forces between October 2023 and November 2024.
In April 2024, Iran launched its first-ever direct strike on Israeli territory, firing more than 300 ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones, confirmed by both CENTCOM and IDF spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari. In October 2024, Iran launched a second direct strike of 180 ballistic missiles at Israel.
In October 2024, an IRGC-directed cell conducted an arson attack on a kosher restaurant in Sydney, Australia. In December 2024, a second cell firebombed the Adass Israel Synagogue in Melbourne, injuring a congregation member. The Australian Security Intelligence Organization assessed that Iran was responsible for both attacks and likely others. Australia has no military forces deployed against Iran. It is not a party to any conflict with Tehran.
On June 23, 2025, Iran fired ballistic missiles directly at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, the largest U.S. military installation in the Middle East, marking the first direct Iranian strike on a major U.S. Gulf base. Three weeks earlier, Iran-backed militias had struck five U.S. installations in Iraq and Syria.
When Operation Epic Fury began on February 28, 2026, Iran responded within hours with Operation True Promise IV, striking Israel, U.S. military bases, and civilian and energy infrastructure across the Gulf. A joint U.S.-Gulf statement condemned Iran’s strikes on Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE as targeting “sovereign territory, endangered civilian populations, and damaged civilian infrastructure,” nations that had not participated in the strikes on Iran.
Qatar’s LNG facilities at Mesaieed and Ras Laffan were struck and halted production; Bahrain’s state energy company Bapco declared force majeure after attacks on its refinery complex; Saudi Arabia’s Ras Tanura refinery sustained a fire from Iranian drones. According to the UAE Ministry of Defence, Iran fired a total of 438 ballistic missiles, 2,012 drones, and 19 cruise missiles at UAE territory through April 1, 2026, alone. None of the Gulf states targeted had participated in the strikes against Iran.
On March 2, 2026, a Shahed-type drone struck the runway at RAF Akrotiri, Britain’s main air base in Cyprus. The UK Ministry of Defence confirmed the strike caused minimal damage and no casualties. It was the first attack on the base since 1986. Iran’s cyber campaign ran in parallel.
On March 11, American medical technology company Stryker confirmed that an Iran-linked hacking group, Handala, had disrupted its global network, with the Wall Street Journal reporting employees found the group’s logo on login screens across the company’s offices worldwide. A subsequent joint advisory issued April 7, 2026, by the FBI, CISA, NSA, and U.S. Cyber Command documented Iranian-affiliated actors exploiting industrial control systems across U.S. water, energy, and government sectors since at least March 2026.
The IRGC’s campaign against international shipping in the Strait of Hormuz predates the 2026 conflict by years. The U.S. Treasury Department sanctioned multiple senior IRGC commanders in 2019, specifically for threatening to close the strait and engaging in destabilizing naval actions in and around it. In July 2019, Iranian forces boarded and seized the British-flagged tanker Stena Impero.
In January 2021, Iran seized the South Korean-flagged Hankuk Chemi. In April 2024, the IRGC seized the Portuguese-flagged container ship MSC Aries in the Gulf of Oman, with 25 crew aboard. When Operation Epic Fury began in February 2026, Iran escalated to a full closure of the strait, with the IRGC issuing orders forbidding passage, laying sea mines, and using fast-attack boats to board and seize commercial vessels.
In April 2026, Iranian gunboats fired on Indian-flagged vessels attempting transit, and the IRGC seized two container ships, the MSC Francesca and the Epaminondas, directing them to Iranian waters. The UN International Maritime Organization condemned the seizures as unacceptable. Roughly 25 percent of the world’s seaborne oil trade and 20 percent of global LNG passes through the strait annually.
President Trump was not wrong. Iran poses a clear and present threat to the United States and its allies, a claim supported by a quarter-century of documented evidence.
