US Southern Command on Friday announced the US conducted a military strike on a narco-terrorist network in Ecuador.
“At the order of Secretary of War Hegseth, SOUTHCOM Commander Gen. Francis L. Donovan directed the joint force to support Ecuadorian forces conducing lethal kinetic operations against Designated Terrorist Organizations within Ecuador March 6,” US Southern Command said.
“We are advancing alongside our partners in the fight against narcoterrorism,” General Donovan said.
“I congratulate our joint forces and the Ecuadorian armed forces for the successful operation against narcoterrorists in Ecuador. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent revealed that the United States is preparing to launch what President Donald Trump has described as the largest bombing campaign yet against Iran, as American forces intensify their military operation targeting the Iranian regime’s missile infrastructure.
Speaking about the ongoing conflict, Bessent said the Iranian regime is currently losing on the battlefield and is being overwhelmed by the coordinated military pressure from U.S. forces and their allies.
According to Bessent, tonight’s operation is expected to deliver the most significant blow so far to Iran’s military capabilities.
“A losing military battle where they’re being overwhelmed,” Bessent said.
“As Secretary Hegseth, General Caine, and the President have all said, tonight will be our biggest bombing campaign, and we’ll do the most damage to the Iranian missile launchers and the factories that build the missiles.”

The Treasury Secretary also pushed back against media narratives questioning the effectiveness of the operation, suggesting that critics in the press are ignoring the strategic planning behind the campaign.
“There are a lot of headline writers and a lot of other networks that want to speak to the contrary,” Bessent said. “But we’ve considered all this. This is in the President’s calculus, and things are proceeding as planned.”

An illegal alien from Mauritania was arrested and charged for voting in five US presidential elections.
“United States Attorney David Metcalf announced that Mahady Sacko, 50, of Philadelphia was arrested and charged by criminal complaint with fraudulent voting in the 2024 federal election by an illegal alien,” the DOJ said.
“Sacko is an illegal alien who was ordered deported in 2000. Despite being an illegal alien, Sacko allegedly unlawfully voted in person in the 2024 general election for federal office,” the Justice Department said.
“Sacko falsely represented that he was a U.S. citizen in order to vote and register to vote,” the DOJ said.
Sacko is facing five years in prison.

An illegal immigrant from Mauritania was charged with fraudulent voting after allegedly casting ballots in Pennsylvania in the last five presidential elections, prosecutors said.
Mahady Sacko, a 50-year-old Philadelphia resident who was ordered to be deported from the U.S. in 2000, “allegedly unlawfully voted in person in the 2024 general election for federal office,” and, “falsely represented that he was a U.S. citizen in order to vote and register to vote,” according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
An FBI special agent investigating the case said Pennsylvania state voting records showed Sacko also “voted in the following federal elections: the 2008 general election, the 2012 general election, the 2016 primary election, the 2016 general election, the 2020 primary election [and] the 2020 general election.”
“Sacko voted in person for each of these elections, except for the 2020 primary election, in which he voted by mail. On each occasion, Sacko falsely represented that he was a U.S. citizen,” the agent wrote in a criminal complaint.

A radical Marion Superior Court judge ruled that the “right” to kill an unborn child is now a protected religious exercise, permanently blocking enforcement of the state’s pro-life protections against a class of plaintiffs who claim their faith requires them to terminate pregnancies.
On Wednesday, Marion Superior Court Judge Christina Klineman, a Democrat, granted summary judgment in favor of abortion activists and issued a permanent injunction against Indiana’s abortion law, ruling that the statute conflicts with the state’s Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA).
The decision blocks enforcement of Indiana’s abortion ban for a certified class of plaintiffs and members of the activist group “Hoosier Jews for Choice,” who argued that abortion can be a religious practice.
In the order, the court accepted arguments that abortion may qualify as a form of religious exercise protected by Indiana’s RFRA if individuals claim their beliefs require terminating a pregnancy.
The ruling states that the plaintiffs believe their religion can require abortion under certain circumstances, including situations involving mental, emotional, or physical wellbeing.
“The organization and its members believe that under Jewish law, an abortion is directed to occur if it is necessary to prevent physical, mental, or emotional harm to a pregnant person, even if there is not a physical health risk that is likely to cause substantial and irreversible physical impairment of a major bodily function,” the court wrote.
Judge Klineman concluded that enforcing Indiana’s abortion restrictions against people who claim such beliefs would “substantially burden” their religious exercise under state law.
As a result, the court ordered that the state cannot enforce the abortion law against these plaintiffs if doing so would violate their claimed religious beliefs.
Klineman wrote:

“Having already found that the Abortion Law and RFRA are in conflict, and that the State has not met its burden of showing a compelling state interest in prohibiting abortions for religious exercise, the court now finds that the Plaintiff’s remedies at law are inadequate and the outright ban of abortions for religious exercise causes irreparable harm.
The court finds that the threatened injury to Plaintiffs outweighs harm to the Defendants because the Abortion Law already has exceptions and there has been no showing that this limited exception for religious exercise would somehow explode the number of abortions sought in contradiction of their stated interest.
The court finds that there is significant public interest in ensuring the religious freedom of all citizens and the State’s position that religious freedom is somehow less important than other exceptions in the Abortion Law puts the court in an untenable position and finds a permanent injunction the only proper relief.”

Indiana passed its abortion law in 2022 following the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision overturning Roe v. Wade.
The law prohibits most abortions but allows limited exceptions, including:

Cases involving rape or incest during early pregnancy
Situations involving lethal fetal anomalies
Medical emergencies that threaten the life or serious health of the mother

Doctors who violate the law can face criminal penalties and potential loss of their medical licenses.
Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita appealed the ruling to a higher court.

Corey Lewandowski, advisor to Kristi Noem and former Trump campaign manager, will depart the DHS after the President fired Noem on Thursday.
President Trump on Thursday afternoon fired Kristi Noem as DHS Chief and immediately announced that Senator Markwayne Mullin (OK) will become the next Secretary of Homeland Security effective March 31.
NBC News reported earlier Thursday morning that Trump was not happy with Kristi Noem’s performance during the Congressional hearings.
The outlet reported that Trump was unhappy with Noem about her decision to approve a $200 million DHS ad campaign.
Noem reportedly approved a limited-bid contract and then lied to Congress when she claimed Trump approved the $200 million ads contract.
One of the three firms that was approved was linked to Lewandowski, who is long-rumored to be in a romantic relationship with Noem.

Lewandowski will be departing the DHS.
“Noem and Lewandowski were quite aware that the president was not happy with something that Noem said in her testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee, where she was grilled about this $220 million ad campaign featuring her,” CBS reported.

Corey Lewandowski, senior adviser to Kristi Noem and a former Trump campaign manager, is also leaving the Department of Homeland Security, as Noem was reassigned Thursday by President Trump to serve as the Special Envoy for the Shield of the Americas.

Fox News also reported that Lewandowski will depart the DHS.
“I’m told the president spoke with Kristi Noem just before that Truth Social post went out, which means when she was on camera giving her remarks, she didn’t actually touch on what happened,” Fox News reporter Jacqui Heinrich said.
“She was aware of what was happening. I’m further told Corey Lewandowski is expected to leave with her. Of course, the rumors of an affair between the two were one of the factors that I’m told compelled the president to remove her as DHS Secretary,” she said.
