In an interview with CNBC, Karp discussed the broader societal impact of artificial intelligence and how it is expected to transform employment.

The data analytics and artificial intelligence company, which was founded by Trump backer Peter Thiel, builds platforms designed to analyze enormous datasets and is widely used by governments, intelligence agencies, and major corporations.
Palantir first gained prominence for its work with U.S. intelligence and defense agencies, including the CIA, the Department of Defense, and other national security bodies.
Its software has been used for counterterrorism analysis, military planning, and intelligence operations.
In recent years, the company has also expanded into commercial sectors, providing data and artificial intelligence platforms to companies in industries such as healthcare, manufacturing, finance, and energy.
However, Karp insisted that the technology still carries serious risks but that America must win the AI race against adversaries such as China.
“These technologies are dangerous societally,” Karp said.
“The only justification you could possibly have would be that if we don’t do it, our adversaries will do it,” he continued. “And we will be subject to their rule of law.”
“Why is it that we’re absorbing the risk of disrupting the very fabric of our society, including the most powerful parts of our society, if it’s not because it’s about maintaining our ability to be American in the near term and long term?” he said.

As reported earlier, a driver plowed a vehicle into Temple Israel Synagogue in West Bloomfield Township, Michigan, and opened fire on Thursday afternoon.
The vehicle used to attack the synagogue in Michigan on Thursday was registered to a naturalized citizen from Lebanon who lives in Dearborn.
Update: The synagogue attacker has been identified: Ayman Mohamad Ghazali, a Lebanese national who first entered the U.S. in 2011 on an IR1 immigrant visa as the spouse of a U.S. citizen. He was naturalized into a U.S. citizen in 2016 during the Obama administration.
Ghazali was born in Lebanon in 1985 and entered the US in 2011. He became a naturalized US citizen in February 2016 under the Obama Administration.

The Oakland County Sheriff said the armed security guards at Temple Israel engaged the gunman.
The sheriff also confirmed that there are zero injuries.
The gunman is dead.
Fox News reported that the gunman’s body is badly burned.
“I’m told by law enforcement source that the suspected shooter at the Michigan synagogue was armed with a rifle, rammed a vehicle into the building and was killed in shootout w/ armed security,” Fox News reporter Bill Melugin said.
“I’m told vehicle caught on fire and the suspect’s body is burned. No ID yet,” he added.

Later Thursday Fox News reported that the synagogue attacker’s vehicle is registered to a naturalized US citizen from Lebanon.
“I’m told by three law enforcement sources that the vehicle used in the attack at a Michigan synagogue today is registered to a naturalized U.S. citizen from Lebanon who lives in Dearborn, MI,” Fox News reporter Bill Melugin said on Thursday afternoon.

The Trump administration swiftly removed former Miss California USA winner Carrie Prejean Boller from the White House Religious Liberty Commission after officials accused her of attempting to “hijack” a hearing on antisemitism to advance a personal political agenda.
The dramatic fallout has quickly turned into a public feud, with Prejean Boller launching a blistering attack on President Donald Trump and members of the commission after her removal.
According to Fox News, the decision to remove Prejean Boller was praised by multiple religious leaders and conservatives who argued that the commission’s purpose is to defend religious liberty, not serve as a platform for controversial personal activism.
“Carrie Prejean was thrown off the Religious Liberty Commission, and thank God,” a former Trump White House official told Fox News. “These commissions exist to advance the President’s agenda, not to serve as a personal Jew-hating platform.”
The controversy began during a hearing on antisemitism in the United States when Prejean Boller reportedly clashed with witnesses and other participants.
Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, who chairs the commission, said she attempted to derail the proceedings by steering the discussion toward unrelated political issues.
Patrick said she sought to “hijack a hearing” on antisemitism in order to promote “her own personal and political agenda.”
During the hearing, Prejean Boller said, “I am a Catholic, and Catholics don’t embrace Zionism.”

In a lengthy open letter addressed to the president, she accused the commission of being controlled by what she called a “Zionist political framework” and claimed her removal violated her religious freedom.

I believed you cared about protecting religious freedom here in America, not forcing Americans to adopt a political ideology that serves a foreign country.

Instead, I now find myself fighting for my own religious freedom while serving on the very commission created to defend the religious freedom of every American.
During my time on the Commission, I stood up for Americans whose voices were not being heard. I stood with desperate mothers whose religious exemptions were denied and whose children could not attend school due to a vaccine mandate.
I spoke at school board meetings defending parental rights for families whose children should never be forced to read material that contradicts their faith. I met with nurses who lost their jobs for refusing the COVID vaccine because of their religious convictions. I stood with Navy Seals who lost their pensions simply for standing by their religious beliefs. Many pleaded with me for help.
I stayed up late at night burdened by the religious liberty violations I was witnessing with my own eyes. Many of them were discarded by our government for standing by their faith. Now it appears I am being discarded the same way.
Likewise, I wept with Americans watching a genocide unfold before their very eyes, feeling hopeless as their tax dollars were going to fund this genocide. I consoled Palestinians who have lost everything in their homeland. Their houses, land, and property stolen by foreigners claiming a right to colonize and occupy them.
I spoke to mothers whose children were starving, pleading for food and water, a desperate plea to show the world their lives are worth defending. I couldn’t stay silent, in the midst of thier suffering.
In Matthew 25:35-40 Jesus equates service to the hungry, thirsty, naked, sick, and imprisoned with service to Himself, stating that helping the vulnerable is helping Him. I am a follower of Christ, and I live my life to do the will of Him.
I spoke with students who were protesting the grave suffering of Palestinians at the hands of the Israeli government in Gaza. Many of them were using their First Amendment rights to peacefully protest, only to be labeled terrorists and antisemites.
I met with Christian and Muslim Palestinians who were displaced into an open air prison in Gaza. They continue to pray for truly free Palestine someday. I pray along with them. All they want is freedom.
Antisemitism cannot be used as a shield to silence speech. This is a dangerous threat to our First Amendment rights as Americans. My faith has always been central to who I am.
You stood by me in 2009 when I lost my title as Miss California after publicly standing for my Christian beliefs. I was only 21 years old when I gave that speech with you standing next to me.
I shared in my speech something my grandfather always told me: “You’re an American, Carrie. I fought for your freedoms. Don’t ever let anyone take them away from you.” Those words I cherish onto today.
My deeply held religious beliefs define who I am and who I have always been, which is why I will now allow my religious freedom to be taken from me.
You knew exactly who I was when you appointed me. I may not have a prestigious title or a large organization behind my name, but I have conviction, heart, and an unwavering commitment to the Christian principles I stand for.
I stood on that commission stage with some of the most well-respected people in America. What I realized is that many of them are too afraid to speak out and be labeled an antisemite simply for not supporting the political state of Israel.
None of them were willing to speak up and defend my religious freedom to not support a political ideology and false theology. But the Lord knew why He put me on that stage once again, to stand for Him, even if it means standing alone.
My faith in Christ means more to me than any position or title. I have not changed one bit since the day you stood beside me in 2009. That is why it is so shocking to now be removed from a Religious Liberty Commission for doing the very same thing you once defended.
I stood firmly by the Catholic Church’s perennial teachings and I was punished for it. I’ll never forget when Paula White and Dan Patrick told me I was not allowed to post on social media or speak in interviews about Israel and Gaza.
He told me I had to stay off social media and my job on this commission is to protect the President. I disagree. My job on this commission is to protect religious freedom.
My tamily has served this country with honor. We are a family of Italian immigrants. My great-grandparents came to America with little but faith and determination to work for the American dream.
I am the product of those hardworking immigrants who were proud to become Americans and helped build the backbone of this nation. My grandfather fought in World War Il and earned a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star.
My sister served two tours in Afghanistan and even missed the birth of her niece, my daughter, while she was deployed. Service to this country runs deep in my family. That is why this moment is such a betrayal.
My Catholic faith is not something I hide. It is part of who I am, and it is woven into the story of America itself. Catholics helped build this nation.
For generations Catholics faced discrimination and hostility in this country simply for their faith. In many places Catholics were barred from political office and excluded from schools because they were Catholic. Catholic churches and convents were even burned in anti-Catholic riots in cities like Philadelphia and Boston in the 1800s.
Yet Catholics stayed, worked, and built. Catholic immigrants laid railroad tracks, labored in steel mills, worked in factories and mines, and raised families rooted in faith and sacrifice.

That is the Catholic faith I am proud to stand for today. Which is why it is unacceptable that a Catholic voice defending Church Tradition would be removed from a Religious Liberty Commission. Why are my first amendment rights not being upheld?
For nearly twenty years I have stood by you. I attended both of your inaugurations. I went to your rallies. I defended you publicly when it was not popular to do so. I stood by you when you were called every name imaginable.
I wore the red Make America Great Again hat proudly when it was not popular, or even safe, to do so because l believed in what you were fighting for. Now, I don’t even recognize you.
At the February hearing I was accused of “hijacking” the proceedings with my own political agenda. The truth is that a foreign political agenda hijacked what was supposed to be an American religious liberty hearing. I did exactly what commissioners are supposed to do. I asked questions.
Those questions I asked came from a real concern for defining the definition of antisemitism, as well as my Catholic religious beliefs. Also, my deep concern for the dignity of innocent human life being killed in Gaza.
Innocent Palestinians who have been starved, gunned down, bombed, limbs blown off, children orphaned, all with the support of our own government. Catholics do not believe the modern state of Israel fulfills biblical prophecy.
The Church teaches that Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of the Old Covenant and that through Him the People of God are gathered into the New Covenant. As the Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches, “The Church is the new People of God.”
Asking me to deny that Catholic teaching in order to satisfy a political ideology is itself a violation of my religious freedom. I have a duty to defend the religious liberty of Catholics in United States of America, and I cannot assent to a heretical theology my Church rejects. My Christian faith does not allow me to ignore human suffering.
I have a duty to speak for the lives being killed at the hands of the Israeli government, while the United States and my tax dollars are paying for it.
President Trump, I thought MAGA stood for defending Americans who speak their convictions without fear of punishment. I thought MAGA was putting America first, not Israel.
Today, I struggle to recognize the movement you started. It appears to have been hijacked by a foreign government and religious zealots attempting to fulfill their heretical end times fantasy.
The MAGA I knew would never allow American troops to die for a foreign government.
America’s sons and daughters are being sent to the Middle East to be sacrificed at the alter of heresy and false prophesy. Are we truly still a sovereign nation, Mr. President? or do foreign interests, and an errant singular interpretation of scripture now dictate who is allowed to have religious liberty here in America? You were supposed to be the President of peace, not the President of war.
George Washington warned against “permanent alliances” with foreign nations, urging the young U.S. to maintain neutrality and avoid becoming involved in wars.
Our founders would never grant one denomination supremacy over all the others. In fact our government prohibits that. This is un-american.
I have been unjustly removed and my religious freedom has been violated, and most Catholics who voted for you feel the exact same way. Why have you betrayed us? You have betrayed your mission to make America great again.
If being a Catholic and refusing to adopt a political and theological framework costs me my position, then religious freedom means nothing. As an American who knows my rights, dissent. I Will never surrender my rights.

The US Central Command on Thursday confirmed a KC-135 refueling aircraft went down in western Iraq.
The status of the six crewmembers on board is unknown.
CENTCOM said this was not due to friendly fire or hostile fire.
A second refueler landed safely in Israel.

CNN host Abby Phillip delivers an on-air correction after falsely claiming an ISIS-inspired bombing attempt in New York City specifically targeted Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
Far-left host Abby Phillip was caught red-handed spreading a massive lie this week, forced into a humiliating on-air correction after she shamelessly lied about an Islamist terror attack in New York City.
In a desperate attempt to smear House Republicans, Phillip claimed that an ISIS-linked bombing was targeted at NYC’s socialist Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, the chaos unfolded on Saturday when 18-year-old Amir Balat and 19-year-old Ibrahim Nick, launched homemade bombs during an anti-Islam protest organized by former January 6 political prisoner Jake Lang, who was pardoned by President Trump last year.
According to the New York Post, authorities said the homemade device was constructed using sports drink bottles packed with triacetone triperoxide (TATP)—a highly unstable explosive widely favored by terrorists and often referred to as the “Mother of Satan.”
Federal authorities are digging deeper, revealing that these aren’t just misguided kids; they’re part of a broader network with alarming links to foreign radicals.
Following the attack, Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) responded with an extremely provocative comment that infuriated the left: Muslims do not belong in the United States.
“Muslims don’t belong in American society,” Ogles wrote on X. “Pluralism is a lie.”

This remark came less than one month after Rep. Randy Fine (R-FL) set the Internet on fire with his comments toward a Muslim leftist who called for banning dogs as indoor pets.

Phillip seemingly saw an opportunity to smear Fine and Ogles while insinuating they were partly to blame for the terror attack. And she did so by outright lying about Muslim NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani being the target.

“Two Republicans say Muslims don’t belong here after an attempted terror attack on New York City’s mayor, Zohran Mamdani. And the House Speaker, Mike Johnson, says nothing to really condemn these comments,” Phillip said to her dwindling audience.

After getting blasted on X, Phillip frantically tried to do damage control on X. She corrected the despicable lie but said her wording was merely ‘inaccurate’ and an ‘error.’
“I want to correct something I said last night,” Phillip wrote. “The bombs thrown in New York City over the weekend by ISIS inspired attackers was thrown into a crowd of anti-Muslim protestors and not specifically targeted at Mayor Mamdani.”
“That wording was inaccurate and I didn’t catch it ahead of time. I apologize for the error.”

Then she was forced to retract it live on air.

Classic CNN. A “hack” host like Abby Phillip doesn’t just “misspeak” when it comes to smearing conservatives and shielding radical Islamists, she pushes a narrative until she gets caught red-handed.
The attack wasn’t some random act against the socialist mayor; it was ISIS-inspired thugs targeting Americans brave enough to protest the Islamic takeover of New York City right outside Mamdani’s own mansion.
Yet Phillip couldn’t resist framing it as an attack on the mayor to score cheap political points against Republicans. Only after the backlash did she scramble to “correct” it while still downplaying the Islamist motive and the real victims, the anti-Islam protesters.

Comedian and podcaster Adam Carolla recently tore into liberal journalist Katie Couric for her interview of California Governor Gavin Newsom in which she made a point to talk about how handsome he is. It was the type of fawning coverage that became commonplace in the Obama era.
Adam took this a step further though, and made an excellent point about liberal bias in the media.
He pointed out that when these journalists finally leave an outlet like CNN, ABC News or whatever other network, they always reveal themselves to be on the far left. Have you noticed this? Adam is absolutely right.
They all do this after spending years claiming that they are some sort of centrist and playing it down the middle, when we all know this isn’t true.

It’s not just Katie Couric. Look at Jim Acosta, Don Lemon, Terry Moran, Jennifer Rubin and others. They all proclaim a veneer of centrist, fact-based journalism and the minute they leave a mainstream outlet and join a platform like Substack, they reveal themselves to be the leftists we all knew that they were all along.
