The liberal Washington Post is deeply upset that Conservatives and Libertarians are standing in the way of future pandemic lockdowns.
This is an excellent reminder that the liberal media gleefully supported shutting down the United States during COVID and would absolutely love to see it happen again.

Washington Post torched on Twitter after complaining health officials have limited powers: ‘Medical fascism’
A new Washington Post report slammed “conservatives and libertarians” on Wednesday for working to legally block future pandemic lockdowns and other epidemic related mandates after seeing their effects during the COVID-19 outbreak.
The paper accused them of engaging in a “populist rejection” of pandemic measures that have left American’s public health institutions “defanged” and unprepared for a subsequent pandemic.
Critics of the Post and severe COVID-19 protocols brutalized the piece on Twitter, claiming the public health institutions promoted “medical fascism,” which prompted the conservative pushback…
The article, by Lauren Weber and Joel Achenbach, made the complaint, “Not even the president can force federal agencies to issue vaccine or testing mandates to thwart its march.”
It then blamed right-wingers, saying, “Conservative and libertarian forces have defanged much of the nation’s public health system through legislation and litigation as the world staggers into the fourth year of covid. At least 30 states, nearly all led by Republican legislatures, have passed laws since 2020 that limit public health authority.”
The story hammered the point that “health officials and governors in more than half the country are now restricted from issuing mask mandates, school closures, and other protective measures or must seek permission from their state legislatures before renewing emergency orders,” thanks to conservatives.
Allowing everything to be shut down was a huge mistake which should never be repeated.

States across the country are banning TikTok from government devices because it’s basically a spy app for the Chinese Communist Party.
In Michigan, the state has banned the app from state devices, but Governor Gretchen Whitmer is exempt from the ban, because of course she is.
Her office claims it needs the app in case she needs to share important information, but that’s total baloney as you’ll see below.

The state of Michigan quietly blocked the Chinese-owned TikTok app from state-owned devices.
The ban includes exceptions for law enforcement, cybersecurity, and promotional purposes. The ban also exempts Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.
In February, Whitmer explained that “whether we like it or not, that is [TikTok] is a tool for disseminating important information.”
Luckily, the exemption allows Whitmer to continue “disseminating the important information” to which she refers…
Jayson Cavendish, Michigan’s acting chief security officer, tells MLive that Whitmer uses a”secure device that has never been on the state’s network nor connected to the state’s wireless environment” to post her dances.
Translation, Lockdown Lady uses a burner phone to which China has access.
This is what Whitmer does with TikTok. Looks pretty important, doesn’t it?

On Monday night, Tucker Carlson released shocking footage from January 6th, 2021 that showed “QAnon Shaman” Jacob Chansley walking through the halls of the Capitol with two Capitol Police officers in tow.  At one point, one of the officers takes point, appears to try opening a door or elevator, and then turns and leads Chansley in another direction.  Later in the video clips, Chansley is seen walking past nine police officers gathered in a hallway intersection.  Chansley and his police escorts walk right past the nine officers without any resistance.

On Tuesday, the Washington Post published an article focused on the Capitol Police chief calling Tucker’s claims “filled with offensive and misleading conclusions.”  But buried in this article was a reference to Jacob Chansley’s own legal defense team:

Albert Watkins, Chansley’s attorney through sentencing in November 2021, said he had been provided many hours of video by prosecutors, but not the footage which Carlson aired Monday night. He said he had not seen video of Chansley walking through Capitol hallways with multiple Capitol Police officers.
“What’s deeply troubling,” Watkins said Tuesday, “Is the fact that I have to watch Tucker Carlson to find video footage which the government has, but chose not to disclose, despite the absolute duty to do so. Despite being requested in writing to do so, multiple times.” He no longer represents Chansley and said he could not comment on what remedy might be sought for the defendant. Watkins suggested that all Jan. 6 defendants who were convicted based on video from the riot should have their convictions vacated.

This very well could be a violation of the Brady Rule.
On Wednesday night Attorney Albert Watkins joined Tucker Carlson on FOX News.
Watkins told Tucker, “It’s appalling… They had a duty to provide video to me… Our Justice System is so compromised.”

…it’s a tragedy. I mean, what’s happened is truly a dagger in the heart of our American justice system. We can’t allow it. But for you disclosing it and whether this isn’t about you, this isn’t about January 6. This is about our justice system being so compromised. The very integrity and core of that which we wore as a badge of honor for the entirety of Our nation’s history has been rendered a vile, disgusting mess by a Department of justice that was running among and they didn’t share the video of my client.
Jacob Chansley rots in prison to this day. The only crime he committed was trusting the US Justice System to protect him.
We are living in dangerous times.

Not many people in this country have worked as hard for the Jan 6ers as Cara Castronuova.  She joined Roger Stone on the Stone Zone last night.  
Cara Castronuova is a young, hard-working contributor at The Gateway Pundit.  She is a former gold-glove boxing champion and has appeared on numerous shows and on the covers of magazines and newspapers over the past decade.  She was one of the organizers of the Justice for J6 rally, a September 18, 2021 rally in Washington, D.C. in demonstration in support of those arrested for the January 6th riot at the US capital.
Last night Cara joined Roger Stone on the Stone Zone. They discussed the left’s January 6th narrative that is collapsing following the release of footage on Monday night from Tucker Carlson.
Cara discussed her many hours looking and Jan 6 footage herself.  She has also attended many of the court cases where Jan 6ers have been set up in corrupt courts by the corrupt DOJ.  She knows many people personally.
If Tucker Carlson wanted to invite on his show a guest who knows a lot about Jan 6 and the many victims personally, maybe more than anyone, he should invite Cara Castronuova on his show. 
Stone discussed with Castronuova her report on the 9-11 police officer who is being charged with felonies for carrying a tambourine through the Capitol on Jan 6.  The corrupt judge in her case won’t let her review the new footage seen by Tucker Carlson’s team.

Well, she actually has become a friend of mine as many of the January 6 prisoners have.  She’s a former NYPD policewoman from Queens, decorated policewoman.  She was the spokesperson for the force at 9-11.  She’s just an overall good person.  A single mother, was there on Jan 6.
And what she relayed to me in our conversations was what she was really upset about that day was how the police were conducting themselves.  She didn’t understand why they were letting people into the building.  It kind of made her mad.  She has this motherly way of getting angry at these cops because she was in some sort of supervisor role when she was a cop.  And she was more or less yelling at the cops going, ‘what are you doing?’ – ‘why are you letting people into the building?’ – and ‘what the hell is going on?’
She started shaking her tambourine which isn’t illegal obviously… she shook her tambourine.
Castronuova can share similar stories on many of the Jan 6 inmates being targeted and abused by the corrupt DOJ and Biden gang.

Joe Biden will not veto this resolution.
Biden actually agreed with the Republicans who vowed to block the criminal code overhaul.
173 House Democrats backed the new law that reduces the penalties for murder and sexual assault.
Fox News reported:
The Senate voted 81-14 on Wednesday to block the Washington, D.C. city council’s dramatic overhaul of its criminal code that Republicans and many Democrats complained would ease criminal penalties in a city that is already suffering from rising crime rates.
In the final vote, only 14 Democrats voted against the resolution aimed at reversing the D.C. law, which was originally the product of the House’s new Republican majority. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y. and most other Democrats voted to kill the D.C. crime law.
Once the resolution is signed by the president, as is expected, it will mark the first time Congress has acted to roll back DC’s own self-imposed regulations in more than 30 years, a power Congress has under the Constitution.
Republicans said Democrats, including President Biden, were forced to accept the resolution because the reality of soaring crime in the nation’s capital can’t be ignored.
Earlier this week the White House was asked how Joe Biden can still support DC statehood even with the far-left legislation.
Karine Jean-Pierre made no sense whatsoever as she tried to explain why Biden supports DC statehood while simultaneously supporting Congress’ decision to shoot down the legislation.

CNN’s ratings have plunged since Trump left office.
The network is struggling to attract viewers in the 9 pm primetime spot.
CNN couldn’t even save the day with a primetime special featuring Jill Biden, the wife of the most popular president in US history.
Fox News reported:
The “CNN Primetime” special, branded “Jill Biden Abroad,” featured an interview with CNN White House correspondent Arlette Saenz that shed a staggering 43% of viewers of CNN’s average 2023 9 p.m. ET viewership.
“Jill Biden Abroad” averaged a dismal 368,000 total viewers compared to 2.7 million for Fox News’ “Hannity” and 2.3 million for MSNBC’s “The Rachel Maddow Show,” which both aired in the same time slot. It was CNN’s worst weekday performance at 9 p.m. since June 17, 2022, with the exception of Christmas Eve, Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
TBS’ midday repeats of “Friends,” Investigation Discovery’s “Murder Comes Home,” “Andy Griffith Show” and “Gunsmoke” reruns on TV Land Classic, Hallmark’s decades-old airings of “The Golden Girls” and Lifetime’s “Castle” were among Monday’s basic cable offerings to outdraw CNN’s 9 p.m. ET program.
CNN’s “Jill Biden Abroad” didn’t perform much better among the advertiser-coveted demographic of adults age 25-54, averaging only 84,000 viewers among the key category to lose 42% of the network’s 2023 year-to-date average 9 p.m. viewership. On the same evening, “Hannity” averaged 322,000 demo viewers and “Maddow” managed 219,000.

California’s Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom cut ties with Walgreens over its decision to stop selling abortion pills.
Walgreens said it would stop distributing abortion pills in 20 states in response to legal battles spearheaded by Republican attorneys general.
“[Walgreens] said it will not dispense mifepristone, the first of two drugs in the medication abortion process, in 20 states following a February 1 letter from GOP attorneys general in those states.” CNN reported.
“We intend to be a certified pharmacy and will distribute Mifepristone only in those jurisdictions where it is legal and operationally feasible,” Walgreens said in a statement.
Newsom responded by shutting Walgreens out of California state business.
Walgreens is the second-largest pharmacy chain in the US behind CVS.
Gavin Newsom will not renew a $54 million contract with the pharmacy store chain.
“We’re done,” Newsom said.

Sgt. Tyler Vargas-Andrews, a U.S. Marine Corps sniper who served in Afghanistan during the surrender to the Taliban forces, testified before Congress on Wednesday. Vargas told Congress that he was denied permission to shoot the suicide bomber in Afghanistan that killed 13 service members and over 170 civilians.

Tyler Vargas-Andrews: On August 26, intel guys confirmed the suicide bomber was in the vicinity of and nearing Abbey Gate.  He was described as clean shaven, brown dressed, black vest, and traveling with an older companion. I asked the intel guys why he wasn’t apprehended sooner since we had a full description.  I was told the asset could not be compromised. Throughout the entirety of the day on August 26, 2021, we disseminated the suicide bomber information to ground forces. Abby Gate. He was spotted somewhere from noon to 01:00 PM by myself, then Sergeant Charles Schilling, and another.  The anomaly in the crowd, who was clean shaven and fit the description exactly, traveling with an older gentleman.  The individual was consistently and nervously looked, looking up at our position through the crowd. The older of the two wore a black silky hijab that was covering his face most of the time.  They both had obvious mannerisms that go along with who we believed him to be. They handed out small cards to the crowd periodically, and the older man sat calmly and seemingly coached the bomber.
Over the communication network we passed that there was a potential threat and an ID attack imminent. This was as serious as it could get. I requested engagement authority while my team leader was ready on the M110 semiautomatic sniper system.  The response: Leadership did not have the engagement authority for us. Do not engage. I requested for the battalion commander, lieutenant Colonel Brad Whited, to come to the tower to see what we did.  Wile we waited for him psychological operations individuals came to our tower immediately and confirmed the suspect met the suicide bomber description.

In September 2021 after the deadly suicide bomb attack at the Kabul Airport we were informed from our sources that the US military men and women KNEW there was a suicide bomber on the ground. They knew his appearance. They knew he was intent on killing US soldiers. And – they even knew around what time this was likely to take place.
Following the attack, one Marine wrote a text message to The Raid Team as reported earlier at The Gateway Pundit.  The Marine who was on the scene disclosed that there was a countdown before the suicide bomber detonated himself.
The Taliban allowed the bomber to get through the perimeter.  The Marines did not allow the bomber to get through the inside perimeter.  He was outside the gate when he detonated his explosive vest by the crowded Abbey Gate at the Kabul Airport.
According to our source, there were also reports of Marines who saw the Taliban laughing after the deadly blast.

The Biden administration’s border policy is an absolute failure.  So is “border czar” Kamala Harris.
The Gateway Pundit shared The New York Times  blockbuster report that details the massive nationwide child labor horrors taking place because of Joe Biden opening the border to unaccompanied children in 2021 after President Trump fought hard to shut down child trafficking.
In New York, according to City Hall, more than 47,100 illegals have arrived since last summer and the city  is reportedly spending five million dollars a day on the feeding and housing of illegal immigrants.
And unpopular “border czar” Harris is missing in action.
When Harris finally visited Arizona in January 2023, it was to visit wind farms, not visit the southern border where millions pour across trafficking drugs, weapons, and humans.
Even Democrat Mayor Eric Adams seems to have grown frustrated by Harris’ total incompetence.
On Tuesday, Adams announced a new office to address the issues that have arisen. Harris is clearly not up for the job of managing the crisis that the administration has foisted on towns and cities across America.
NY1 News shared Adams’ announcement, “In order to move from an emergency response to a steady state, we will create an Office of Asylum Seeker operations.”
The New York Post reports::
“There needs to be an individual who is dedicated to do the decompression strategy for the federal government. Someone should be at these entry points: El Paso, Brownsville, Texas, and others, too, to organize a real decompression strategy across the entire country,” Adams said during a City Hall news conference Tuesday.
“One person should, we should be looking at — it is often stated that as the role of the VP has too much in her portfolio to be focused on just doing that decompression strategy. If not, the decompression strategy can’t be New York City.”
