The manifesto of Audrey Hale, the transgender shooter accused of killing six people – including three children – at the Christian Covenant School in Nashville earlier this year, will reportedly be released to the public.
Nashville police chief John Drake confirmed shortly after the rampage that Hale identified “as transgender” and told reporters she left behind maps of the school and a “manifesto” indicating there may have been other targets.
The contents of the manifesto has been the topic of speculation due in large part to the unwillingness of law enforcement officials to release it to the public.
That is reportedly about to change.
Nashville police have confirmed the manifesto will be released, though they have declined to provide an actual date.

Nashville Trans Shooter Manifesto to Be Released
There are a lot of caveats to consider with the release of this manifesto, first of which is the length of time it is taking to get the manifesto released to the public.
Interest in the contents of the numerous journals Hale left behind will have dissipated significantly by the time they are released.
“The investigation has advanced to the point that writings from the Covenant shooter are now being reviewed for public release and that process is underway and will take a little time,” a Metro Nashville Police Department spokesperson told The New York Post.
If the red hat the shooter was wearing was actually a MAGA hat, details of their writings would likely have already been published.

With the stalling comes a lot of skepticism as to whether or not the manifesto will be redacted or some of the contents discovered left out of the public release.
The Post notes that “police … could not give a firm date when the writings would be released and would not confirm if everything would be shown to the public.”

Authorities collected 20 journals, five laptops, multiple yearbooks, among other items from multiple locations. All of it needs to be released.

What’s in the Manifesto?
While we can only speculate as to the contents of the trans shooter’s manifesto, comments from authorities paint a grim picture.
Metro Nashville Councilmember Courtney Johnston, who has previously suggested it would not be released in its entirety, said they were told the manifesto is “a blueprint on total destruction.”
One official with the Metro Nashville Police Department said the contents of the trans shooter’s manifesto “keeps him up at night.”

Journalist Glenn Greenwald last week announced he was in talks with various law firms about suing the FBI and the Nashville Police Department for access to the manifesto.
While that may not be a necessity now – or it may have actually spurred police to announce its release – Greenwald contended that there was a lot of “political pressure” keeping it under wraps.

We’ve spoken with 2 major law firms in Nashville who said they’d send retainer letters to represent us suing FBI and the Nashville PD to obtain the manifesto of the Nashville shooter, only to back out at the last second.

Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, as was a signature of his show, spoke the truth about what has been behind the manifesto coverup.
Carlson argued the fact that the killer targeted Christians plays a key role in why public eyes have yet to see what the police recovered.
“It’s not accidental,” he said of the manifesto remaining under lockdown. “You know exactly why it is – because it would make the obvious undeniable.”
He added, “The trans movement is targeting Christians, including with violence.”
Thus far, authorities have assigned no motive to Hale’s attack.

I have to be honest, I was a little surprised when early (too early) polling showed former President Trump trouncing Florida Governor Ron DeSantis by some 30 points.
Not that I underestimate the loyalty of Trump supporters, mind you. It’s just that politics has been a bit… unusual since about 2015. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
But this latest poll from Emerson is something else entirely.
30 points is big. Almost 50 points? I expected just a teensy bit more competitiveness.

Trump is Brutalizing DeSantis
46 points is massive.
Harder to know how long things will stay that way. Thus far, DeSantis hasn’t officially announced his campaign, which should give a big boost to his visibility.
The official campaign turns into official fundraising, official PACs and committees, etc., which turns into exposure on the airwaves and online, you get the picture.
Nevertheless, 46 points?
On the other side of the aisle, incumbent President Joe Biden is leading his nearest competitor Robert F Kennedy Jr. by just 43 points.
To think of it another way – Biden has the backing of his entire party and the national media. His biggest rival is a man the media has vilified for years.
And yet, Biden is winning by less than Trump is, who faces an open primary and a hostile party and media.
Interesting, both Trump and Biden are taking 62% of the primary vote. More interestingly, RFK picks up a bigger share (19%) than DeSantis does (16%).
What are the chances? Like I said before about politics being just a bit strange lately.

GOP Establishment Attacking DeSantis Over Disney Flap
One thing that should give DeSantis a boost in the primary polls – theoretically – is his battle with Disney.
It’s a convoluted story, which you can read about here, but the important factor to most voters will simply be that DeSantis is willing to take on a woke megacorporation. One that is a global force and mainstay in the state of Florida.
And it’s not just sitting across the table from woke Disney – DeSantis is also drawing fire from Republicans over the battle. Establishment Republicans.
Establishment Republicans like House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, who went on CNBC to chastise DeSantis for not “sitting down” with Disney.
Or fellow Floridian Marco Rubio, who gave DeSantis a subtle warning on Fox.
Contra McCarthy and Rubio, you’re not like to find many Republican primary voters who are all too concerned about one of the largest corporations on the planet force-feeding woke malarkey to children.
Rather, they’d side with DeSantis.
Regardless, the main question at this point is whether or not DeSantis will view a staggering 50-point Trump lead as either insurmountable or an unnecessarily brutal fight that could put 2028 aspirations at risk.

President Joe Biden issued an Executive Order authorizing the Department of Defense and Homeland Security to send some military forces to the southwest border.
As it stands, there is no wall-to-wall coverage of troops being used to protect the border. There are zero Democrats comparing the move to 1930s Germany. There are no photo ops of AOC distressed at the border… yet.
Biden notified members of Congress about the EO on Thursday and stated the move was being made to address “international drug trafficking along the Southwest Border.”
It authorizes Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin to “order to active duty such units and individual members of the Ready Reserve.”

Biden Sending Ready Reserve to the Border
The Ready Reserve is prescribed by law in U.S. Code Title 10 which outlines the role of armed forces in the United States.
It is a unit comprised of military members of the Reserve and National Guard liable for recall to active duty to augment the active components in times of war or national emergency.
Calling them to duty seems odd for an administration that just last month claimed fentanyl levels at the border are at “historic lows.”
“Because of the work that this president has done, because of what we’ve done specifically on fentanyl at the border, it’s at historic lows,” claimed White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.
We’ve gone from historic lows, if one believes Jean-Pierre, to the need for a Ready Reserve used in times of war or national emergency in a little over a month.

Where’s the Outrage?
If you’re looking for information on Biden authorizing the Ready Reserve to help address drug trafficking, you’d be hard-pressed to find any media reports.
Fox News national correspondent Bill Melugin, who has thoroughly chronicled the crisis at the border, shared the EO on social media.
That said, at the time of this writing, not one major news outlet has covered the move. And there has certainly been no outcry from Democrats.
When President Trump authorized sending troops to the border in 2018 it was called a “stunt”, an election gimmick, and he was accused of “militarizing” the immigration debate.

Representative Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) at the time said Trump’s plan was “an insult to our troops” that would “harm our military as an institution.”
“They’re telling you the existential threat to America is a bunch of poor refugees 1,000 miles away,” Barack Obama chimed in.
“They’re even taking our brave troops away from their families for a political stunt at the border,” he added. “And the men and women of our military deserve better than that.”
Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was well known for comparing Trump’s efforts to secure the border to 1930s Germany and shared photos of her weeping and collapsing in horror as she visited a migrant detention facility.

Not one of the aforementioned Democrats has commented on President Biden’s call to send the Ready Reserve to help secure the border.
They haven’t even commented on the children suffering under this administration.
A report from The New York Times shows that 85,000 migrant children have gone missing in the U.S. and that an ever-increasing number of migrant children are being exploited and abused.

A closer look at the months leading up to the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank, the second-largest bank collapse in history, shows that regulators saw the warning signs since last year but did not step in.
SVB’s collapse sent shockwaves through the markets, destabilized the economy, and raised fears of a domino effect of other banks. Seemingly backing those fears, other banks have recently collapsed as well.

House Oversight Republicans are now reporting that the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco was well aware of SVB’s problems beginning in 2021 but did little to address them.
“SF Fed appears to have failed to adequately supervise SVB and respond to the bank’s mismanagement, ultimately leading to SVB’s seizure by federal regulators – the second largest bank failure in U.S. history – and threatening a panic in our banking system,” House Oversight Republicans, led by Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., said in a letter to to the president and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, kicking off an investigation into the regulator’s role in the collapse.
The letter lays out troubling details about SF Fed’s oversight of the troubled bank, showing that at least six “Matters Requiring Attention” were filed against the bank, but these were citations that did not require the bank to change.
“These warnings, dating back to at least November 2021, are not public and reports outline that SVB was under full supervisory review by the SF Fed as early as July 2022,” the letter said, adding that “at the end of 2022, almost 96 percent of deposits held at SVB were uninsured, making the bank susceptible to a run.”
“While the signs of significant and alarming risk were clear, no regulator used more severe tools, such as fines or consent orders, to require action from SVB,” the lawmakers added.

The San Francisco Federal Reserve Bank declined to comment.
Critics have also blasted the Biden administration’s role in bailing out SVB, saying the bank’s well-connected board, many of whom were Democratic donors, received special attention.
“Silicon Valley Bank was bailed out by Biden because many of the customers were well connected,” said Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas. “This is deeply concerning for every American who doesn’t have a direct line to the Oval Office.”
The Federal Reserve is expected to give a full report on SVB’s collapse at the beginning of May.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, a Republican from California, suggested on Thursday that Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida “sit down and negotiate” with Disney to put an end to a political spat.
“Why wouldn’t you sit down, negotiate, and talk?” McCarthy posed the question on Thursday’s episode of “Squawk Box” on CNBC. “Even if there are disputes, there are always solutions to this issue. If you feel that the only course of action is to file a lawsuit, I think it’s not the best place to start looking for a solution.”

Since DeSantis enacted parental rights legislation in March 2022 against Disney’s resistance, the two parties have fought. Disney apparently sought to undercut the Reedy Creek Improvement District through last-minute deals, but DeSantis also supported legislation that terminated Disney’s influence over it.

Disney Ramps Up Legal Battle
On Wednesday, Disney filed a lawsuit against DeSantis for the legislation that removed its authority over the Reedy Creek Improvement District. After allegedly attempting to sabotage the legislation DeSantis signed, the corporation filed the lawsuit.
This company employs a lot of people in Florida. McCarthy said, “I believe the governor ought to have a meeting with them. “I don’t believe it is a good idea to construct a jail near to a location where you bring your family. I believe you would do better if you sat down and resolved the issues.
On April 17, when he unveiled legislation to thwart Disney’s attempts to preserve control of the Reedy Creek Improvement District, DeSantis broached the notion of constructing a jail close to Disney’s amusement parks, according to the Guardian.
Nikki Haley, a Republican presidential contender, also criticized DeSantis by speculating that Disney could want to relocate to South Carolina, her home state.
McCarthy also offered guidance to Bob Iger, the head of Disney.
McCarthy said, “At the same time, if you’re going to be a significant employer within this state, you should also follow the laws, run your business, and don’t think you should get into politics.”
