President Donald Trump hosted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at Mar-a-Lago on Sunday to discuss ongoing peace negotiations aimed at ending the Russia-Ukraine war.
Flanked by American and Ukrainian flags, Trump delivered a no-holds-barred assessment of the conflict, tying its origins directly to the stolen 2020 election.
Trump didn’t mince words, stating, “I’ve said and nobody’s disputed it: If the election weren’t rigged and stolen in 2020, you wouldn’t have had this war. It didn’t happen for four years. Never was even thought to happen.”

The US president emphasized his good relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin, despite what he called the “total hoax” of the Russia-Russia investigation, and noted that he had recently spoken with Putin about Ukraine.
“Russia WANTS to see Ukraine succeed! It sounds a little strange! But I was explaining to [Zelensky], Putin was very generous in his feeling toward Ukraine succeeding. Including supplying energy, electricity and other things at very low prices,” Trump said. “A lot of good things came out of that call.”

The meeting focused on a 20-point plan to resolve the war, with Trump announcing that talks are in the “final stages.”
Trump described the potential peace deal as “good for Ukraine, good for everybody,” highlighting the tragic loss of life and the need for a swift resolution.
The president also said he would be willing to travel to Ukraine and speak to parliament if it meant bringing an end to the war.

Zelenskyy, standing beside Trump, appeared supportive as the two leaders fielded questions from the press.
As negotiations progress, Trump is clearly hoping this will mark a turning point in the conflict that has claimed countless lives and drained billions in U.S. aid.

Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is taking solace from the idea that history will punish President Donald Trump.
In an interview with Jonathan Karl on ABC’s This Week on Sunday, a dejected Pelosi was asked about her feelings on the January 6th protests now that Trump is back in the White House.
Here is a transcript of the exchange:
KARL: We see what is happening at the Capitol. What is going through your head?
PELOSI:  Well, it was clear that the president of the United States had incited an insurrection. And we begged him to send the National Guard.
Typical of him, he never represents the truth. He said, ‘Well, I was going to send them.’ Get out of here. Even Mitch McConnell was on the phone with us, saying, ‘Get them here right away.’ But they never sent them.”
The sorrow of it also springs from the fact that this president is trying to rewrite history, have a different narrative of what happened that day.
What happened that day was horrible. It was an assault on the Capitol, the symbol of democracy to the world.
It was an assault on the Congress, the day we honored our responsibility under the Constitution to certify the Electoral College, who was elected president, as an assault on the Constitution of the United States. It was horrible.
KARL: Has he paid a price for it?
PELOSI: No, he’s president of the United States now. But history will, he’ll pay a price in history.

President Trump on Sunday welcomed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to Mar-a-Lago to discuss the latest plan to end the Russia-Ukraine war.
Zelensky traveled to Trump’s Florida estate to discuss security guarantees for Ukraine as the President works to end the war.
On Saturday, Zelensky said his number one priority is to end the war.
“Ukraine did not start this war. Russia started it. Ukraine supported President Trump’s proposal for a ceasefire. Ukraine has agreed to many different compromises, and this is documented in our draft agreements, in our 20-point plan. Ukraine is willing to do whatever it takes to stop this war,” Zelensky said on X.
“For us, priority number one – or the only priority – is ending the war. For us, the priority is peace. We need to be strong at the negotiating table. To be strong, we need the support of the world: Europe and the United States. And this includes air defenses – which are currently insufficient, weaponry – which is currently insufficient, and money – thankfully, there is now a European decision, but, frankly, there is a constant shortage of funds, in particular for the production of weapons and, most importantly, drones,” Zelensky said.
“In this war of Russia against Ukraine, we want peace, and Russia demonstrates a desire to continue the war. If the whole world – Europe and America – is on our side, together we will stop Putin. Because together we will all want the same thing: an end to the war, peace – a normal peace, a sustainable peace, safe for the whole world. If anyone – whether the U.S. or Europe – is on Russia’s side, this means the war will continue. There are no other options here. And this is a risk for all countries in the world. Because Russia will not stop, regardless of any agreements, any eloquent messages from them. They will not stop at Ukraine,” Zelensky added.

Earlier Sunday, President Trump said he had a “good and very productive” phone call with Russian President Putin as a 20-point peace plan is currently being reviewed by the Kremlin
Trump took some questions from reporters after greeting Zelensky.
“I do believe that we have the makings of a deal,” Trump told reporters.
“I think we’re in final stages of talking, and we’re going to see,” Trump said. “Otherwise, it’s going to go on for a long time. It’ll either end, or it’s going to go on for a long time and millions of additional people are going to be killed.”
A reporter asked President Trump if he is “prepared to sign security documents today.”
President Trump snapped at the reporter.
“Well, it depends on what security agreements – what a dumb question! Nobody even knows what the security agreement is going to say!” Trump said to the reporter.
“But there will be a security agreement, it’ll be a strong agreement, and the European nations are very much involved in that. They’ll be involved in protection, etc.,” Trump said.

America First Legal (AFL) is calling out Boston University (BU) for abandoning one of its own students, Zac Segal, who has been hit with credible death threats from radical leftists simply for doing his civic duty and reporting suspected illegal immigrants to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Segal, the president of BU’s College Republicans, spotted suspicious activity at an Allston car wash and tipped off ICE.
His actions led to the arrest of nine illegal migrants.
After taking credit for the bust on social media, Segal became a target for online harassment, doxxing, and violent threats from unhinged activists.

According to details provided to Breitbart News, messages included vile statements like, “If I ever see you I’m fucking killing you and leaving ur dead body on the sidewalk,” “We’re coming for you,” “I’ll be waiting outside your little event tonight,” and even “Here’s to hoping you’re the next to get Kirked.”

Posters also popped up on campus branding Segal a “racist and fascist” with “no place” at BU.
Rather than stepping up to defend their student, BU officials essentially told Segal to hide.
Dean of Students Jason Campbell-Foster advised him to skip in-person classes and switch to remote learning, admitting the university couldn’t guarantee his safety on the Boston campus.
Representing Segal, America First Legal fired off a letter demanding BU let him transfer to its Washington, D.C. campus to finish his education safely, “at a cost that does not exceed his attendance at the Boston campus.”
As AFL Senior Counsel Emily Percival put it, “Boston University must protect its students, not force them into hiding.”
AFL emphasized in their press release, “There is nothing unlawful about reporting suspected violations of federal law.” They contrasted BU’s weak response with Olivet Nazarene University, which publicly condemned similar threats against a student and provided real accommodations.
BU President Melissa Gilliam responded with a vague statement in the Daily Free Press warning against focusing on “skin color” or “political views” to avoid “fostering division and pain.”
Gilliam babbled about affirming “the dignity and worth of all people” but said nothing about condemning the threats or outlining any safety plans.
Segal defended himself on X, stating, “I reported suspicious activity to law enforcement because that is what any American should do. My intention was simple: to protect my community and uphold the rule of law.” He added, “I love this country, and everything I did came from that place,” pointing out the DHS-confirmed illegal status of those arrested and the millions of unemployed American men who could use those jobs.

AFL’s letter cites Massachusetts law requiring universities to prevent foreseeable injuries and BU’s own policies obligating them to protect students. They’ve given BU a deadline to confirm accommodations or face potential legal action.

The U.S. Department of Education has reported an end to more than $1 billion in attempted student aid fraud in 2025.
These reforms were needed after the massive waste and fraud resulting from loosened rules during the Biden regime.
“Federal investigators found nearly $90 million in aid had already been fraudulently disbursed, including over $30 million to deceased individuals and more than $40 million to bots posing as students,” according to a report from Campus Reform.
That’s a lot of fraud, but it’s hardly surprising. Under Democrats, fraud and waste are rampant, as we learned in the era of DOGE.
Common sense has returned with the Trump administration.
As Education Secretary Linda McMahon put it, needing ID “to access taxpayer-funded aid is common sense.”
“From day one, the Trump administration has been committed to rooting out waste, fraud, and abuse across the federal government,” she said. “Merry Christmas, taxpayers!”
As President Trump has emphasized many times, his policies are common sense, and we are the party of common sense.
The Department of Education has also launched a website warning about AI scams posing as legitimate colleges that fool prospective students.
These AI fake sites use fake degrees and deepfake content to mislead students.
Now that we have a real president in the White House, “the Department is building a dedicated fraud detection team within Federal Student Aid to expand enforcement.”
This new unit will help protect students from these fake college scams.
While more work is needed, it’s refreshing that common sense is back, and this administration is doing a lot of work to protect students from these scams.

Zelensky told Axios on Friday that he hoped Sunday’s meeting would produce an agreed framework for ending the conflict.
He said he would be willing to submit the plan to a national referendum if Russia agrees to a ceasefire lasting at least 60 days.

Lemar Beasley fatally stabbed Cheyenne Kastens in Dollar General store parking lot
Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for a career criminal who stabbed a woman more than 40 times in an unprovoked attack in a Dollar General parking lot.
54-year-old Lemar Beasley stabbed Cheyenne Kastens, 36, in the parking lot of a Fruitland Park, Florida, Dollar General last month.
According to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, Beasley ambushed Kastens and repeatedly stabbed her before fleeing to a nearby camper.
Beasley and Kastens did not know each other.
A grand jury indicted Beasley for capital murder earlier this month.
State Attorney R.J. Larizza is seeking the death penalty against Beasley.
“The defendant murdered our victim five months after his release from prison,” State Attorney R.J. Larizza said. “He is a convicted sex offender. He is a violent career criminal. The brutal and merciless nature of this killing demands a death sentence.”
Beasley is a career criminal and a convicted sex offender who was released from prison in July. He has a history of violent attacks against women going back to the early 90s.

Investigators with the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office arrested Beasley after they said he had killed 36-year-old Cheyenne Kastens in a random attack that resulted in her being stabbed more than 40 times.
“We have some theories on his motives, but we’re not sure what his intent was,” Capt. Chris Stallings said.
Beasley, who is also a convicted sex offender, had been released from prison just months before the murder for violating the terms of the state sex offender registry.
Back in 1999, he was sent to prison for 15 years after he was convicted of rape and false imprisonment. According to the detectives in that case, the woman was beaten and choked before she was sexually assaulted.
In 1991, Beasley was sent to prison after he was convicted of attempted murder and armed burglary, and then in February 2021, Stalling said detectives were looking at Beasley as a primary person of interest in the death of 20-year-old Nyeisha Nelson.
Her remains were discovered in a shallow grave along a road just outside of Crescent City, days after she was reported missing.
