President Trump delivers remarks at the House GOP member retreat
President Donald Trump issued a dire warning to House Republicans, asserting that their failure to hold the majority in the 2026 midterm elections would lead directly to a third impeachment effort by radical Democrats.
Speaking at a private Republican retreat held at the newly renamed Trump-Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the President framed the upcoming November elections as an existential fight for his political survival.

TRUMP: “You’ve got to win the midterms, because if we don’t win the midterms, it’s just going to be—I mean, they’ll find a reason to impeach me. I’ll get impeached.
“We don’t impeach them. You know why? Because they’re meaner than we are. We should have impeached Joe Biden for a hundred different things. They are mean and smart, but fortunately for you, they have horrible policy.”

Trump is right about almost everything, but he is wrong on one point: Joe Biden was not impeached because Congress is filled with cowardly representatives who refused to act.

President Donald Trump also intensified his push for a federal overhaul of election laws on Tuesday, demanding that Congress immediately pass legislation mandating nationwide voter ID.
Trump has consistently advocated for a national voter identification requirement, stating that the only reason for opposing such a law is the desire to “cheat” in elections.
He had previously attempted to mandate proof of citizenship for voter registration through an executive order, but a federal judge permanently blocked that effort in October 2025, ruling that Congress and the states, not the president, have the authority to regulate election protocols. 
Democrats aren’t winning midterm elections because their policies work, they’re winning because the system is rigged.
From widespread election abuses to the deliberate importation of millions from third-world countries to pad future voter rolls, their strategy is clear: replace voters they’ve lost with voters they can control.

Trump:“You want to have voter ID. You want to insist on it. You want to insist on it. Can you imagine? In California, they not only don’t have voter ID, but if an official at the voting booths—which they don’t have, by the way, because it’s all mail—if an official, a voting official, even asks somebody for voter ID, “Sir, would you like to see your identification? Do you come from our country?” they put them in jail for tampering with the election. Okay?
We’ve got to straighten this out before it gets too crazy. California is more corrupt than any place. California is more corrupt than Minnesota—and I won Minnesota. They’re very embarrassed when they say, “We want voter ID, voter identification.” The only reason somebody doesn’t want that is because they want to cheat.
Our elections are crooked as hell. You could not only win elections over that, and not only win future elections, but you win every debate because the public is really angry about it. And you would have passed the SAFE Act—or whatever you’re going to call it. Are we going to call it the SAFE Act or the Save America Act? I think we’re going to change the name a little bit.
You’re going to put that up for a vote? I think everybody in this room certainly should do it. And it’s a bad vote for them, because they’re voting against things like voter ID and other things that are almost equal to voter ID. But when somebody says, “No, we don’t want voter ID,” that means they’re crooked—and the public understands.”

The SAVE Act passed the House in April by a narrow margin of 216–208, with Republicans unified in support and only four Democrats — Reps. Ed Case (HI), Henry Cuellar (TX), Jared Golden (ME), and Marie Perez (WA).
The legislation, championed by Republicans, would require documentary proof of U.S. citizenship to register and vote in federal elections.
The bill aims to amend the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) of 1993 to require documentary proof of citizenship for federal elections.
According to Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL), the Republican-controlled Senate is holding up a vote on legislation that has already passed the House.

Trump has repeatedly called on Senate Republicans to invoke the “nuclear option” and terminate the filibuster and pass voter ID requirements, ban mail-in voting, cashless bail reform, end transgender insanity in women’s sports, end taxpayer-funded benefits for illegal aliens, and more. “I wouldn’t have been in favor of that a long time ago, but you know, the Democrats are going to do that, and most of you will admit the Democrats are going to do that. So why aren’t we doing it?” he said.

However, Senate Majority Leader John Thune and a handful of other Senators told reporters they will go against Trump on this, making the 50 votes necessary to terminate the filibuster impossible. “It’s just not happening,” said Thune, who made it clear he’s unwilling to vote to terminate the filibuster.

President Ronald Reagan’s son with actress Jane Wyman, Michael Reagan, passed away on Sunday after a battle with cancer.
He was 80 years old.
Michael Reagan was adopted by Ronald Reagan and his wife Jane in 1945.
“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Edward Reagan,” Reagan’s family said in a statement on Tuesday.
“Michael was and will always remain a beloved husband, father, and grandpa. Michael was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 4th, surrounded by his entire family in Los Angeles, California,” the family said.
“Our hearts are deeply broken as we grieve the loss of a man who meant so much to all who knew and loved him,” the statement read.
“We appreciate your prayers and ask that you would respect our family’s privacy during this difficult time,” the statement said.
“The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute mourns the passing of Michael Reagan, the eldest son of President Ronald Reagan and Jane Wyman, and a steadfast guardian of his father’s legacy,” the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation & Institute said in a statement.

Last year, on January 6, 2025, Tom Fitton, the President of Judicial Watch, released a video exposing the CIA at the US Capitol on January 6, 2021.
This video was released four years after the stolen 2020 election and uprising at the US Capitol.

Hey, everyone. Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton here with some massive news. Judicial Watch just uncovered that the CIA was involved in the response to the January 6th disturbances on Capitol Hill. In fact, CIA bomb technicians were sent over to the RNC and DNC where those pipe bombs supposedly were found. On top of that, there were CIA dog teams on standby in response to January 6th.
Now, there are a lot of questions that are raised by our disclosures. First of all, why did it take Judicial Watch heavy lifting in federal court to get access to these documents after all these years? Why didn’t the Pelosi January sixth Committee, even as corrupt as it was, not disclose the CIA involvement? What was the CIA involved for? Were they investigating foreign intelligence operations? Were they investigating American citizens? What else have they done related to January sixth? All these questions you can be sure your Judicial Watch will pursue. In federal court if necessary.
So we had asked for records from the Department of Justice. What did we ask for? Last year. We asked for records and communications regarding shots being fired inside the US Capitol as well as request for Bureau of Alcohol, Department of Farms, Explosive Special Response Team Assistance on January 6. Remember, they had these pipe bombs that were supposedly found at the RNC and DNC. And so we were interested in the responses there. So we got a bunch of text messages. Of course, they ignored our request, and we had to sue in federal court. Again, this is June 2023. We filed the lawsuit. We probably had asked. Yeah, we asked in… No, we filed the lawsuit in August. We asked for the records in June. So we’ve been waiting almost a year for these records, and it took a federal lawsuit to get them out to us. And so we got these ATF text messages that detail the CIA’s involvement. And there are two sets of text messages, and they’re very interesting to read because they do talk about, as I say, we were asking about the reports of shots fired.
The only shots were fired were the shots fired, at least in the capital, the shot fired at poor Ashley Babbit by Michael Bird, US Capitol Police Officer, who, in our view, unlawfully shot her, elicidly shot her, shot her for no good reason, popped out, shot her, dead. We’re representing her family in a wrongful death action right now a federal lawsuit against the US government for $30 million. Here you can see the ATF, basically all these panic text messages about the disturbance on January sixth. But what was most interesting in them to me was the involvement of the Secret Service. Here’s the first text message detailing the involvement of the Central Intelligence Agency, not the Secret Service, the CIA. Several CIA dog teams on standby near the southwest area of the capital.
What were they doing there? Why were they on standby? Were they called ahead of time? I don’t know. First time we’re hearing about it. Then there were technicians sent to where those pipe bombs were. CIA bomb techs. Why were they down there? Now, typically, the CIA is not supposed to be involved in domestic operations like that. So what was the purpose of their being involved?
Earlier today Tom Fitton tweeted out that the CIA now says it will take at least four more years to find the information that is being requested.
What are they hiding?
And why can they not be honest to the American public?

In a stunning on-air confrontation, Fox News anchor Martha MacCallum systematically dismantled the Democrats’ latest talking points after Rep. Jason Crow (D-CO) attempted to undermine the Trump Department of Justice’s bold operation that captured Venezuelan narco-tyrant Nicolás Maduro.
The interview, aired on “The Story with Martha MacCallum,” came hot on the heels of Trump’s DOJ executing a lightning-fast extraction operation to haul Maduro out of his Venezuelan lair and bring him to justice in the U.S.
MacCallum began by laying out the facts. The Maduro operation lasted less than two and a half hours, an extraction, not an occupation.
She compared it to historic U.S. actions against Noriega and Gaddafi, emphasizing a simple truth Democrats refuse to accept: removing the head of a criminal enterprise is the first step to stopping the poison.
Crow’s response? Shrugs and deflection.
“We don’t know that,” he insisted, prompting MacCallum’s immediate rebuttal: We’ve never known it.
The difference, she noted, is whether America finally acts or continues the empty rhetoric Democrats have delivered since 1989.
As Crow pivoted to his favorite talking point, MacCallum delivered the knockout blow.
Roughly 100,000 Americans die every year from drug overdoses. Venezuela, she explained, has become a narco-state and a forward operating base for hostile actors.
Crow tried to wave it away, claiming fentanyl and meth “almost none” come from Venezuela. MacCallum didn’t miss a beat.
“So you’re okay with massive amounts of cocaine trafficking into the United States from Venezuela?”
Crow backtracked again, revealing the hollowness of his position. No plan. No solution. Just paralysis.
Then came the moment that ended the debate.
MacCallum reminded Crow that Maduro wasn’t just “accused,” he was indicted by the Department of Justice. If America refuses to enforce its own indictments against a foreign drug kingpin, what message does that send?

Martha MacCallum:This operation was less than two and a half hours long. It’s much more similar to what we did with Noriega in Panama, or even what President Obama did with Gadhafi in Libya. This is an extraction operation. He’s the head of the snake, and the snake is still there to a certain extent. But isn’t it better to remove the head, at least, to start the process?
Jason Crow:We don’t know that. That’s the point.
Martha MacCallum:We’ve never known it.
Martha MacCallum:But the question is whether or not you get around to a point where you actually take some action, or do you just talk about it since 1989, as we’ve just heard many prominent Democrats do?
Jason Crow:The Maduro regime, as it was constructed, exists almost in its entirety as we sit here today in Venezuela.
Martha MacCallum:So they should have taken out the whole thing.
Jason Crow:No, I’m not saying that at all.
Martha MacCallum:So they should take out no one.
Jason Crow:What I’m saying is I don’t believe it’s in our immediate interest for Americans to want us to be engaged in another nation-building quagmire like we have done for 20 years.
Martha MacCallum:Well, let me ask you this. You have about 100,000 Americans dying of drug overdoses. Most of those drugs are coming from Venezuela and other places—Colombia, certainly, fentanyl as well.
Jason Crow:That’s actually not true.
Martha MacCallum:It’s not true that 100,000 Americans a year?
Jason Crow:The majority of deaths by drugs in America are the result of meth and fentanyl. Almost none of that comes from Venezuela.
Martha MacCallum:So you’re okay with massive amounts of cocaine traffic coming into the United States from Venezuela?
Jason Crow:No, I’m not saying that either. What I’m saying is, if we want a real drug strategy—if we want to stop fentanyl and meth, which is largely what’s killing our children and devastating our communities—then we need a real drug strategy to do that. But actually going and deposing a foreign leader and capturing them, and now saying we’re going to run the country, as Donald Trump just said on Saturday—
Martha MacCallum:He was indicted by the U.S. Justice Department. So we should just not follow through on action and indictments of our own Justice Department to bring him to justice in the United States? Otherwise, what’s the point of these sorts of indictments?
Jason Crow:That is not at all what I’m saying. There are thousands of people who are indicted. But just because somebody is indicted, does that mean that we go and depose a leader and actually say we’re going to run a country? Donald Trump on Saturday said very specifically that the United States is going to run Venezuela, that we’re going to be in control of it, and we’re going to put our oil companies in place.
Martha MacCallum:We didn’t leave anyone there. I think that interpretation—it sounds to me like the interpretation is to try to help the oil industry get up and running again to prevent the drug operation from flowing across. We’ve seen the early steps of that operation. Also, you’ve got Iran, China, Cuba—a lot of bad actors—using it as a forward operating base against the United States.
Jason Crow:Absolutely, which is part of the problem, because you just said we left nobody on the ground. So the Cubans are still there.
Martha MacCallum:You said you don’t want anyone on the ground. The mistake was that we didn’t take out all of the other heads of operation, but you didn’t want us to take out Maduro in the first place. So you’re saying that there’s no threat—there’s no threat from this operation.
Jason Crow:No, Martha, that’s a straw man. I’m not saying that. What I’m saying is just because there’s a problem does not mean that the solution should be that we go in militarily—
Martha MacCallum:What is the solution?
Jason Crow:—that we depose the president, and then we now own that problem, and we have to occupy and address it. There is no end game here.
Martha MacCallum:Well, he was given many opportunities to go into exile, all of which he refused. So eventually, you’ve got to follow through, or your word is worth nothing. If you indict this drug kingpin leader and you never do anything about it—which is what we saw in all the prior administrations—eventually, they’re laughing at you.

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi spoke at a Democrat-led ‘special hearing’ on the anniversary of January 6 on Tuesday.
Pelosi sounded drunk as she delivered her opening statement.
Nancy Pelosi not only falsely claimed that President Trump incited an insurrection, she also claimed that Trump refused to send in the National Guard on January 6.
“Today, that president who incited that insurrection, continues to lie about what happened that day…I saw on TV that he was claiming that we did not ask for the National Guard…For over three hours we begged him to send the National Guard! He never did it. He took joy in not doing. He was savoring it…What he’s saying today is an insult to the American people,” Pelosi said.

Footage was released in June 2024 from the House Oversight Committee of Nancy Pelosi taking responsibility for the January 6, 2021, protests and rioting at the US Capitol.
“I take responsibility,” Pelosi said.

And in June 2024, John Solomon at Just the News reported that Nancy Pelosi’s top security aides received warnings about a potential Capitol breach the night before the January 6 protests.
Pelosi could have called in the National Guard. She decided not to.
January 6 was always a set-up. And the evidence confirms that Pelosi was in on it.
As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, former Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Washington DC Mayor Muriel Bowser were both warned about the security situation prior to January 6th, and they both turned down National Guard troops at the US Capitol that day.
Pelosi and Mayor Muriel Bowser turned down thousands of National Guard troops at the Capitol on January 6 for political reasons.
Chris Wray’s FBI also refused to notify the Trump administration and his cabinet secretaries that they believed there could be violence like the mass protests at the Capitol that took place that day.
Nancy Pelosi also refused the National Guard at the US Capitol due to “politics,” but that is just her excuse.
Last year Pelosi snapped at a Lindell TV reporter who confronted her about withholding the National Guard on January 6.
“SHUT UP! I did not refuse the National Guard. The President didn’t send it. Why are you coming here with Republican talking points as if you are a serious journalist!” Pelosi said.

Retired Lieutenant General Michael Flynn has leveled explosive allegations against Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, claiming that a lack of accountability regarding massive taxpayer fraud in Minnesota is linked to the Speaker’s own financial networks.
In a recent statement, the former National Security Advisor suggested that his private investigation into the “robbery” of American taxpayers led him directly to the door of the House leadership.
Flynn stated that he began looking into the lack of federal movement on the Minnesota daycare fraud cases.
His findings, he claims, point to a circular flow of capital involving Speaker Johnson’s Political Action Committees (PACs).

The allegations come at a time of increased scrutiny for Speaker Johnson. While the Speaker has recently pushed for healthcare reforms, citing “rampant fraud” in the Affordable Care Act as a primary concern, Flynn argues that the Speaker’s own financial backyard warrants an audit.
Critics of the Speaker have previously raised concerns regarding campaign finance, including a 2025 complaint by the Campaign Legal Center regarding the use of campaign funds for personal housing.

On August 6, 2025, Campaign Legal Center (CLC) filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) alleging that House Speaker Mike Johnson and his campaign committee, Mike Johnson for Louisiana, violated federal campaign finance laws that prohibit converting campaign funds to personal use. Specifically, CLC’s complaint alleges that Johnson’s campaign has reported paying $12,500 to date — and appears to be continuing to pay $2,500 per month — to rent a Washington, D.C., house where Johnson resides, in clear violation of the Federal Election Campaign Act (FECA) and FEC regulations.

However, Flynn’s allegations take the narrative a step further, linking leadership PACs to the specific fraud pipelines similar to those plaguing Minnesota’s social service programs.

On Tuesday, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz dared to slam ICE for wasting taxpayer dollars on rounding up illegal aliens, only to be promptly humiliated by Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.
As The Gateway Pundit reported last month, ICE has been making arrests in what locals call “Somali-land Minnesota,” a region with one of the largest concentrations of Somali immigrants in the United States.
The DHS is also now conducting door-to-door audits of Somali-linked daycare centers and related social-service operations in Minneapolis, as part of a sweeping enforcement surge targeting fraud, illegal employment, and human trafficking tied to sanctuary-state policies.
One particular show of force going viral is a video of several ICE agents walking into a library to arrest illegal aliens. The incident reportedly occurred back on December 29.
Seeing the video angered Walz, who called it bafoonery and ridiculous.
“Ridiculous,” Walz whined on X. “Nobody is fooled into thinking this bafoonery is a reasonable use of taxpayer dollars.”
“It should not take 50 ICE agents to arrest one guy in a library.”

In addition to Walz’s embarrassing reaction to the video, he also got his facts wrong.
There were 14 ICE agents at the location, not 50. And they arrested two illegal aliens.
Noem quickly responded to Walz with an inconvenient and harsh reality check.
She noted it was ironic that he was acting concerned about wasting taxpayer money, given that billions have gone missing since he became governor back in 2014.
“Really, you’re worried about taxpayer dollars?” Noem fired back. “There’s been $9 billion stolen from the taxpayers in Minnesota since you became Governor.”
Noem went on to slam him for being so beholden to illegals that he would not let ICE arrest them at Minnesota’s jails, and for promoting violence against DHS and ICE agents.
“You won’t let us in Minnesota’s jails, and there is rampant assault against our law enforcement thanks to vilification from politicians like you,” she said. “So, yes, there’s strength in law enforcement numbers to remove these violent criminals from the communities you refuse to protect.”

California Governor Gavin Newsom, who has driven the state into the ground, is brazenly defying federal immigration law, with the radical left-globalist, anti-American administration now sabotaging efforts to revoke thousands of commercial truck driver’s licenses handed out to foreign nationals—many of them here illegally—exposed in a federal audit.
The move has provoked fierce pushback from the Trump administration, which is calling out the rogue state for jeopardizing American lives on highways.
At the heart of this matter are over 17,000 shady “non-domiciled” commercial driver’s licenses that California recklessly issued to noncitizens, including those without proper immigration status or work authorization. Federal officials uncovered massive fraud and violations—licenses that, under American law, should have been stripped away immediately to protect American citizens.
President Trump’s team gave California a rock-solid deadline to clean up this mess and revoke the illegal licenses, warning that defying the will of the American people would bring serious consequences. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, speaking plainly, said there will be no extensions and no excuses, adding California has no moral or legal right to threaten Americans’ safety.
Instead of putting the American people first, the California DMV arrogantly announced it would drag its feet until early 2026, hiding behind claims of needing “more time” to avoid “mistakes.” Federal authorities see right through this as pure globalist obstructionism, and deliberate stonewalling to shield illegal migrants at the expense of hardworking American families.
Duffy fired back, saying the regime in Sacramento is willfully breaking federal law and endangering Americans on our roads. He warned that California stands to lose up to $160 million in federal highway funds—money extracted from hardworking, law-abiding American taxpayers—if it keeps thumbing its nose at the rule of law.
The Trump administration has already hit back hard, withholding tens of millions in funds and ready to unleash more penalties until California backs down. For President Trump and his team, this is about enforcing our borders and protecting American sovereignty.
Trucking is a deadly serious job involving 80,000-pound rigs barreling down highways full of American families. When drivers lack legal status or authorization, they have no business behind the wheel.
This scandal has been amplified by a string of horrific crashes nationwide caused by foreign drivers with questionable or outright illegal credentials, putting innocent American lives at risk.
Open-borders lobbyists and activist groups like the Sikh Coalition and Asian Law Caucus have rushed to defend Newsom’s anti-American policies, suing to keep these licenses intact and crying about “disrupted livelihoods.”
But from the Trump administration’s America First viewpoint, that’s nonsense: No foreign national—legal or illegal—has an automatic “right” to drive massive trucks on American roads if they can’t meet basic federal standards. Political pressure and leftist lawsuits ought not to override American safety.
While many migrants do fill many trucking jobs, only a fraction is believed to legally qualify for these special licenses. California’s sky-high numbers scream sanctuary-state abuse—flagrantly flooding highways with unvetted drivers while Americans pay the price.
The Trump administration views this as a fight that is part of a larger war to reclaim America’s public safety from years of weak, globalist policies that sold out American workers and citizens. Duffy is rolling out new grants to help loyal states root out unqualified drivers, suggesting that this crackdown only just beginning.
Newsom’s regime insists it’s all about “due process,” but keen observers know better that California’s long history points to the idea that this is deliberate protection of illegal migration.
Conservatives across the country are asking how California handed out these licenses undiscerningly and without regard for human life in the first place, treating federal immigration law as optional while American blood is spilled on the asphalt.
This particular showdown reveals whether radical blue states keep ignoring federal authority, pocketing billions in American taxpayer dollars, all while turning our roads into a dangerous experiment in unchecked mass immigration?
