CLOWNSHOW: Congressional Dems Stage Candlelight Vigil for January 6 Fedsurrection Anniversary While Refusing to Condemn Left-Wing Riots and Political Violence

In a breathtaking display of political theater, Congressional Democrats gathered on the steps of the U.S. Capitol on Tuesday evening for a candlelight vigil to mark the fifth anniversary of the January 6 Capitol event, while once again refusing to condemn years of left-wing riots, arson, and political violence that ravaged American cities with near-total impunity.
Led by House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, the group of Democrats stood in the freezing D.C. air, clutching flickering candles, and singing “God Bless America.”
Family members of law enforcement officers who defended the Capitol on January 6, 2021, joined the event.

Last year, President Trump released a statement stating that “BIDEN FBI PLACED 274 AGENTS INTO THE CROWD ON JANUARY 6.”
”If this is so, which it is, a lot of very good people will be owed big apologies,” he continued, calling for something to be done about the scandal.
This comes after the FBI admitted that 274 plainclothes agents were embedded in the crowds during the events of January 6, 2021, hundreds more than previously disclosed.
The Gateway Pundit previously reported, former Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Washington DC Mayor Muriel Bowser were both warned about the security situation prior to January 6th, and they both turned down National Guard troops at the US Capitol that day.
Pelosi and Mayor Muriel Bowser turned down thousands of National Guard troops at the Capitol on January 6 for political reasons.
Chris Wray’s FBI also refused to notify the Trump administration and his cabinet secretaries that they believed there could be violence like the mass protests at the Capitol that took place that day.
Capitol Police Chief Steve Sund previously testified that he asked House and Senate security officials for permission to request that the D.C. National Guard be placed on standby in case he needed quick backup.
But they both turned him down.
For years, leaders of the Democrat Party dismissed violent street uprisings as “expressions of pain,” fundraised for rioters’ bail, and smeared Americans who demanded law and order. Businesses were torched. Federal courthouses were attacked night after night. Journalists were assaulted. Police officers were ambushed. Not once did Democrats stage a candlelight vigil for those victims.
Instead, the party’s media allies and elected officials insisted Americans ignore the violence they could see with their own eyes until January 6 provided a singular narrative useful for perpetual outrage, fundraising, and political leverage.
Suddenly, violence became intolerable but only when it could be weaponized against political opponents.
Even today, Democrats refuse to plainly denounce Antifa violence, the 2020 riots, or the politically motivated attacks carried out by radical activists aligned with their causes. They demand “accountability” from one side while offering excuses, euphemisms, and legal cover for the other.
    Americans are not fooled.

“Bullsh*t” – Dem Senator Mark Kelly Lashes Out at Hegseth, Says He May Get in His Face and Confront Him Over Censure (VIDEO)

Democrat Senator Mark Kelly lashed out at Pete Hegseth and said he may get in the Secretary of War’s face to confront him over his “bullshit” censure.
Secretary of War Pete Hegseth on Monday censured Democrat Senator Mark Kelly and cut his military retirement pay over his ‘seditious’ video urging service members to defy President Trump’s orders.
Mark Kelly is one of the ‘Seditious Six’ Democrat lawmakers who urged members of the military to defy Trump’s orders.
In November, without offering any specifics, Senators Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) and Mark Kelly (D-AZ), along with Democrat Reps. Maggie Goodlander (NH), Jason Crow (CO), Chris Deluzio (PA), and Chrissy Houlahan (PA) repeatedly stated, “You can refuse illegal orders,” or “You must refuse illegal orders,” in a viral video.
The Department of War previously announced it is considering recalling Democrat Senator Mark Kelly for court-martial proceedings after he urged the military to defy President Trump’s orders.
On Monday, Hegseth announced he is moving to demote Kelly and cut his military pension, but stopped short of a court-martial.
“Six weeks ago, Senator Mark Kelly — and five other members of Congress — released a reckless and seditious video that was clearly intended to undermine good order and military discipline. As a retired Navy Captain who is still receiving a military pension, Captain Kelly knows he is still accountable to military justice. And the Department of War — and the American people — expect justice,” Hegseth said.
“Therefore, in response to Senator Mark Kelly’s seditious statements — and his pattern of reckless misconduct — the Department of War is taking administrative action against Captain Mark E. Kelly, USN (Ret). The department has initiated retirement grade determination proceedings under 10 U.S.C. § 1370(f), with reduction in his retired grade resulting in a corresponding reduction in retired pay,” Hegseth said.
“To ensure this action, the Secretary of War has also issued a formal Letter of Censure, which outlines the totality of Captain (for now) Kelly’s reckless misconduct. This Censure is a necessary process step, and will be placed in Captain Kelly’s official and permanent military personnel file,” Hegseth added.
In remarks to reporters on Tuesday, Mark Kelly questioned Trump’s order to strike Venezuela and capture Maduro.
He also called Hegseth’s censure “bullshit” and said he may confront the Secretary of War at Wednesday’s briefing.
“So [Hegseth’s] option, right now, is he can continue with this kind of bullshit, or he can go take a hike. That’s his options. And if I have an opportunity to tell him that tomorrow, maybe I will,” Mark Kelly said to CNN’s Manu Raju and others.

  • White House Confirms Greenland Acquisition Is a U.S. “National Security Priority” — Military Option on the Table

White House Confirms Greenland Acquisition Is a U.S. “National Security Priority” — Military Option on the Table

    Credit: The White House
The White House on Tuesday confirmed what President Donald Trump has been stating openly and unapologetically: acquiring Greenland is a top national security priority for the United States, with all options, including military force, remaining on the table.
Speaking to reporters on Monday, President Trump underscored the strategic urgency of Greenland’s location in the rapidly militarizing Arctic, warning that America’s adversaries are already exploiting the vacuum left by European inaction.

“I will say this about Greenland: We need Greenland from the standpoint of national security. It’s so strategic. Right now, Greenland is covered with Russian and Chinese ships all over the place,” Trump said. “Denmark is not going to be able to do it—I can tell you that.”

Trump ridiculed Denmark’s token security gestures, noting that Copenhagen recently attempted to “boost” Arctic defenses by adding one additional “dog sled.”

“They thought that was a great move. It’s true—they thought that was a great move,” Trump said.

Dog sledding in Denmark primarily refers to the elite Sirius Dog Sled Patrol, a Royal Danish Navy unit that patrols remote Northeast Greenland.

“I’ll just say this: we need Greenland from the standpoint of national security, and the European Union needs us to have it—and they know that.”

The remarks triggered a sharp but hollow reaction from Jens Frederik Nielsen, who declared “that’s enough now,” dismissing U.S. control of the island as a “fantasy,” according to the BBC.
“No more pressure. No more insinuations. No more fantasies of annexation. We are open to dialogue. We are open to discussions. But this must happen through the proper channels and with respect for international law,” Nielsen added.
On Tuesday, the White House left no ambiguity.
The White House confirmed that President Trump and his national security team are actively discussing multiple pathways to acquiring Greenland, including the potential use of U.S. military power if necessary.
“Trump sees acquiring Greenland as a U.S. national security priority necessary to ‘deter our adversaries in the Arctic region,’” the White House said in a statement to Reuters.
“The president and his team are discussing a range of options to pursue this important foreign policy goal, and of course, utilizing the U.S. military is always an option at the commander-in-chief’s disposal,” the White House added.
During a contentious exchange on CNN, senior Trump adviser Stephen Miller made clear that this is not a new or off-the-cuff idea.
“It has been the formal position of the U.S. government since the beginning of this administration—frankly, going back into the previous Trump administration—that Greenland should be part of the United States,” Miller said. “The president has been very clear about that.”
During a tense exchange on CNN, senior Trump adviser Stephen Miller made it crystal clear that the administration’s position is not new—and not negotiable.

“It has been the formal position of the U.S. government since the beginning of this administration, frankly going back into the previous Trump administration, that Greenland should be part of the United States,” Miller said.

“Greenland has a population of 30,000 people,” Miller said. “The real question is: by what right does Denmark assert control over Greenland? What is the basis of their territorial claim? What is their basis of having Greenland as a colony of Denmark?”

Miller emphasized that the United States, as the dominant power within NATO, bears responsibility for securing the Arctic against hostile regimes.

“To protect and defend NATO interests, obviously Greenland should be part of the United States,” Miller said. “Nobody’s going to fight the United States militarily over the future of Greenland.”

  • President Trump Makes Huge Announcement on Venezuelan Oil Following Capture of Maduro

President Trump Makes Huge Announcement on Venezuelan Oil Following Capture of Maduro

President Trump on Tuesday evening announced that Venezuela will give the United States between 30 and 50 million barrels of oil.
Trump said the oil will be sold at market price.
“I am pleased to announce that the Interim Authorities in Venezuela will be turning over between 30 and 50 MILLION Barrels of High Quality, Sanctioned Oil, to the United States of America,” Trump said on Truth Social.
“This Oil will be sold at its Market Price, and that money will be controlled by me, as President of the United States of America, to ensure it is used to benefit the people of Venezuela and the United States! I have asked Energy Secretary Chris Wright to execute this plan, immediately,” Trump said.
“It will be taken by storage ships, and brought directly to unloading docks in the United States. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” Trump added.

The Army’s Delta Force captured Maduro early Saturday morning after President Trump ordered military strikes on the South American country.
According to Reuters, Delta Force created an exact replica of Maduro’s safe house and practiced how they would enter and capture him. The CIA had an asset on the ground in Venezuela who infiltrated Maduro’s inner circle.
Maduro was indicted on four counts by a federal grand jury in the Southern District of New York.
    Read the indictment here.
The grand jury indicted Maduro, his wife, Cilia Flores, and four others on four counts: Narco-terrorism conspiracy, cocaine importation conspiracy, possession of machine guns and destructive devices, and conspiracy to possess machine guns and destructive devices.
Trump’s announcement comes as The Wall Street Journal reported that President Trump will be meeting with major US oil companies such as Chevron and Exxon Mobil.
“Representatives of Chevron, the only U.S. oil company active in Venezuela; ConocoPhillips; and Exxon Mobil are expected to attend the meeting, alongside other American oil executives, these people said,” The Wall Street Journal reported.
“The Venezuelan assets of ConocoPhillips and Exxon were nationalized by former President Hugo Chávez in the mid-2000s. A senior White House official previously said Energy Secretary Chris Wright, alongside Secretary of State Marco Rubio, would lead an outreach effort to U.S. oil companies,” The Wall Street Journal reported.
On Sunday, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the US will quarantine Venezuela’s oil until certain favorable conditions are met.

  • Crime and Homelessness, the Debate over Involuntary Civil Commitment

Crime and Homelessness, the Debate over Involuntary Civil Commitment

Surveillance footage from a CTA Blue Line train shows the November 2025 attack in which Lawrence Reed set a passenger on fire. Reed, who had a long history of mental illness and prior arrests, was later charged with federal terrorism.Public Domain, https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=174819149 and United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Public domain, via Wikimedia Commons
President Trump’s recent executive order, Ending Crime and Disorder on America’s Streets, has reopened a long-standing debate over involuntary civil commitment of adults into psychiatric care facilities. The executive order frames homelessness as a public safety crisis driven primarily by drug addiction and serious mental illness, citing record levels of street homelessness during the previous administration and arguing that existing federal and state programs have failed because they do not address root causes.
It asserts that widespread vagrancy, open drug use, and disorder have made cities unsafe and that shifting homeless individuals into long-term institutional settings through civil commitment is both humane and necessary to restore public order.
Support for President Trump’s approach comes from numerous high-profile cases involving individuals with documented mental illness and extensive criminal histories who were repeatedly released back onto the streets before committing violent crimes.
In California in 2025, Jordan Murray committed a fatal stabbing in Fair Oaks. Murray had previously been diagnosed with a mental disorder and had committed multiple robberies in 2024. He was released through California’s Mental Health Diversion program with no oversight or accountability. Sacramento County Sheriff Jim Cooper later stated that jail would have been the safest option.
In August 2025 in North Carolina, Decarlos Dejuan Brown Jr. fatally stabbed Iryna Zarutska, a 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee, on a Charlotte light rail train. Brown had been diagnosed with schizophrenia, had a lengthy criminal history, and had previously been denied extended involuntary commitment despite family requests. He was released with no ongoing supervision. The case led to the passage of House Bill 307, known as Iryna’s Law.
In November 2025 in Chicago, Illinois, Lawrence Reed set Bethany MaGee, a 26-year-old woman, on fire on a CTA Blue Line train. Reed had more than 70 prior arrests, multiple felony convictions, and a long history of mental illness. He had violated probation and electronic monitoring conditions before the attack and had been released after earlier violent incidents. Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson later stated that Reed was a danger to himself and others and that the system had failed to intervene. Reed was charged with federal terrorism on a mass transportation system and faces life in prison.
These cases share clear patterns. The perpetrators had extensive criminal histories, documented mental illness often combined with substance abuse, and were repeatedly released despite escalating violence. System failures occurred at multiple points, including premature hospital discharges, courts declining involuntary commitment absent proof of immediate dangerousness, ignored probation violations, and ineffective electronic monitoring. The result was a revolving door of arrest, brief hospitalization, release, and reoffense.
The victims were strangers targeted in random public attacks. After each incident, officials acknowledged that the system had failed, that the individuals involved should not have been on the streets, and that the tragedies could have been prevented.
Aggregated data from the stage of Oregon illustrates the problem. Following 2022 policy decision to release mentally ill criminal defendants early from Oregon State Hospital to reduce waitlist, new data showed number of new felony cases filed against defendants who had been discharged in past six months increased 46% since policy was implemented. For misdemeanors the increase was 90%. More than 500 people now face new charges including murder, burglary, assault, and harassment.
Critics argue the order signals a return to forced institutionalization by directing the attorney general and HHS secretary to push for broader civil commitment, challenge court precedents and consent decrees limiting involuntary commitment. They contend this undermines civil rights protections that emerged after abuse in pre-1960s psychiatric institutions, citing Olmstead v. L.C. as a safeguard against unnecessary confinement.
Two risks are emphasized. First, the order lacks clarity on who decides commitment and under what criteria, raising concerns about bias and non-clinical decision-making. Second, the nationwide shortage of mental health beds remains unaddressed, leaving unclear where people would be placed.
Civil commitment remains governed by state law. The federal government cannot order states to commit people but can reshape funding and program requirements. The order also ties federal funding to enforcement actions by prioritizing grants for states and cities that crack down on open drug use, urban camping, loitering, and squatting, and that actively move homeless individuals into treatment or institutional settings.
It authorizes federal support for encampment removals, expanded use of drug and mental health courts, evaluation and civil commitment of sexually dangerous offenders, and measures to prevent the release of detainees with serious mental illness due to a lack of psychiatric bed capacity.
Constitutional constraints require that commitment be based on dangerousness or grave disability, not merely mental illness, and must meet due process standards including clear and convincing evidence. Most states require showing that mental illness makes someone dangerous to self or others or unable to meet basic needs.
