Denmark’s political and military establishment has dusted off a Cold War–era rule, with the Defense Ministry on Wednesday announcing that if foreign troops land on Danish territory, soldiers are to open fire immediately, without waiting for orders.
The revelation comes as tensions between Copenhagen and Washington have reached a fever pitch over renewed signals from the Trump administration that Greenland’s status is no longer a closed question.
Denmark’s defense ministry confirmed to Berlingske, a center-Right Danish newspaper, that a 1952 order remains active, requiring Danish forces to counterattack any invading power at once, even if no formal declaration of war has been issued. In simple terms, it is a shoot-first, ask questions later doctrine.
The timing of the disclosure isn’t an accident. President Donald Trump and senior figures in his administration have once again raised the possibility of bringing Greenland under American control, arguing that the Arctic island is pivotal to American security in an era of growing Chinese and Russian activity.
Trump’s position has predictably sent shockwaves throughout Europe’s establishment political class, which has long assumed American protection would remain unconditional and unquestioned. Denmark, which administers Greenland as part of its kingdom, insists the territory is “not for sale,” yet has little to no independent capacity to defend it without US military might.
The contradiction has not gone unnoticed. For decades, Copenhagen has relied on the threat of American forces to secure Greenland while simultaneously asserting full sovereignty over it. Now, faced with an increasingly assertive America that is openly reassessing its interests, Danish leaders appear rattled.
Western European governments have rushed into emergency consultations, with the Danish Prime Minister recently claiming that any US move on Greenland could spell the effective end of the NATO alliance. French and German officials, for their part, have spoken of “collective responses,” though they’ve yet to articulate clearly what those responses would actually entail.

Corrupt Democrat Minnesota Governor Tim Walz held a press conference after a woman was fatally shot by ICE as she tried to run over an agent in Minneapolis.
The female driver who was fatally shot as she attempted to run over an ICE agent has been identified as 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good — ‘She/Her’.
Video posted to X shows the moment Good was shot dead as she tried to run over federal agents in an attempt to kill them.
Additional footage clearly shows that an ICE officer was in danger of being run over as Good accelerated.
The Department of Homeland Security said Good’s attempt to run over the agent was an “act of domestic terrorism.”
“Today, in an act of domestic terrorism, an anti-ICE rioter weaponized her vehicle against law enforcement. Our officer relied on his training and saved his own life, as well as the lives of his fellow officers,” the DHS said.
“Sanctuary politicians have created an environment that encourages rampant assaults on law enforcement,” the DHS said.
President Trump and DHS Chief Noem said the ICE agent was taken to a local hospital and treated for injuries.
As expected, the Democrat leaders of Minnesota and Minneapolis blamed the Trump Administration and ICE agents for Wednesday’s fatal shooting.
Governor Walz said he is ready to deploy the Minnesota National Guard.
“We are preparing the National Guard. They are prepared to be deployed if necessary,” Walz said.
Later during his remarks, Walz said Minnesota is at war with the federal government.
Walz said made this exact statement on Tuesday as well.

When veterans take their own lives, their families may receive financial support if the veteran was covered by Veterans’ Group Life Insurance (VGLI).
The real question isn’t whether families should receive these payments, but rather if more could be done to prevent such tragic losses without encouraging financial motives.
It’s a delicate balance to strike, and it’s an issue that deserves careful, thoughtful consideration.
A recent article from The Gateway Pundit highlighted a question posed by the Veterans’ Group Life Insurance (VGLI) program, which has raised concerns for Sonny Fleeman, a combat veteran and federal whistleblower. That is, “Is there a suicide exclusion?”
The response is, “No—claims related to suicide are not excluded.” For this reason, Fleeman contended that this might incentivize veterans to take their own lives in order to secure financial benefits for their families.
The combat veteran is not suggesting that the families of service members should be denied this financial benefit. What he previously expressed is that “the current design quietly weaponizes despair in a population already on the edge.”
His primary desire is for veterans to prioritize seeking help for their conditions rather than focusing on financial rewards for their families.
On October 28, 2025, Fleeman submitted a Freedom of Information Act request concerning VGLI death claims, suicides, and payout data. Once considered “not public interest,” the results are now in.
“Based on VA’s own totals from 1999 to 2023, 2,602 suicide-classified death claims out of 66,593 total claims—about 4%, or roughly one out of every 25—show that suicide is a meaningful and recurring share of VGLI payouts,” Fleeman told The Gateway Pundit.
“From 2004 to 2023,” he said, “those suicide-related claims accounted for more than $370 million, averaging tens of millions of dollars each year.”
The federal whistleblower emphasized that the dataset alone cannot determine whether VGLI’s experience is typical or uniquely elevated compared to private sector group life insurance.
“That requires apples-to-apples actuarial benchmarks—age and risk adjustments and comparable cause-of-death definitions—that aren’t publicly available to my knowledge,” he explained.
“Given that VGLI serves a known high-risk population and has no suicide exclusion,” Fleeman argued, “it’s reasonable to suspect the suicide share may be elevated, but confirming that is beyond me and requires independent benchmarking against private sector.”
Ultimately, he stated, it is “essential to find a solution” that prevents veterans from feeling as though the message conveyed by the policy is: “The only way to support your family is through your death.”
“Although families are entitled to the compensation, we need to find a better method to prevent some veterans from feeling that this is their only option,” Fleeman stated.

President Donald Trump has announced plans to restrict large financial institutions from purchasing single-family homes, positioning the policy as a strong and long-overdue defense of everyday, working Americans against powerful Wall Street interests.
In a statement made to Truth Social on Wednesday, Trump emphasized that homes should belong to families raising children and building lives, not to hedge funds treating them as investment vehicles.

For many decades, homeownership has been a cornerstone of middle-class security and opportunity in America. Trump rightly argues this foundation has been undermined by high inflation, easy credit policies favoring institutional investors, and regulations that have tilted the scales drastically from working and middle-class Americans.
The proposed policy, if enacted, would prohibit major institutional buyers—private equity firms, real estate investment trusts, and large asset managers—from acquiring additional single-family homes.
Trump has also committed to working with Congress to enshrine the restriction in law, making it harder for future administrations to undo under lobbying pressure.
The news, unsurprisingly, sent ripples through financial markets. Shares in companies heavily involved in corporate homeownership declined as investors reassessed the landscape.
Trump’s core message appears to be that the government should no longer facilitate the takeover of residential housing by big money interests. Allowing institutional buyers to consistently outbid families represents a failure to prioritize the needs of American citizens.
Over the past decade, institutional investors have built substantial portfolios of single-family homes, often using their financial advantage to make all-cash offers and bulk purchases that individual buyers, on the whole, simply cannot match. This has contributed to higher prices, reduced inventory for owner-occupants, shifts in many neighborhoods toward rental properties, and the hollowing out of the American middle class.
Trump’s initiative represents the most direct presidential action yet to address these trends. He connects the issue to broader economic patterns where global capital flows have been protected while working and middle class wages have lagged and costs have soared.
This housing policy is part of a larger push for affordability, with upcoming proposals likely to include measures on mortgage access, zoning changes, and incentives to favor individual homebuyers over investors.
In a notable move, which comes just after he warned that he would be impeached if Republicans lose Congress next year, Trump plans to detail his broader vision at the World Economic Forum in Davos. He says he plans to directly engage the global financial community to challenge the prevailing view of housing primarily as an investment asset.
Critics from the financial sector have raised concerns about potential disruptions to rental markets and investment flows, while supporters insist that the far deeper disruption has already occurred as regular Americans have been priced out of homeownership in their own communities.
Advocates for working families see the policy as a step toward rebalancing a market that has favored institutional scale over individual opportunity.
At its heart, the proposal highlights a fundamental divide: one side prioritizes unrestricted capital movement and investor returns, while Trump’s approach stresses national priorities, community stability, and widespread ownership.
From a national-populist conservative viewpoint, strong homeownership rates strengthen social cohesion, encourage personal responsibility, and make the country more resilient by lifting maybe not all boats but most of them.
Regardless of how quickly Congress acts, Trump has elevated the issue to new prominence. The question of who should own America’s neighborhoods—families or large multinational financial entities—has now been squarely posed and demands an answer.

A full vote will take place on Thursday.
The bill will extend the expired Obamacare subsidies for three years.

The bill is dead on arrival in the Senate.

Nine House Republicans broke rank Wednesday in support of advancing a Democratic bill that would revive key Obamacare subsidies for three years — a move that sets up a final passage vote Thursday that will for the first time this Congress put members of the House GOP Conference on the record for or against the enhanced tax credits.
House members voted 221-205 — with all Democrats voting in favor — to move forward with a Democratic-led discharge petition to force consideration of the legislation against the explicit wishes of Speaker Mike Johnson.
The Louisiana Republican for months refused to put a bill on the floor to prevent the credits from ultimately expiring Dec. 31, citing divisions within the GOP ranks over the policy but also criticizing the credits himself.
Last year the Senate rejected more than a dozen dueling healthcare plans as Obamacare’s enhanced premium tax credits expired at the end of 2025.
President Trump has repeatedly called for the ‘Affordable Care Act’ subsidies to be given to the consumers rather than the ‘fat cat’ insurance companies.

Former acting Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Chad Wolf took to Fox News on Wednesday to absolutely demolish leftist Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey for demanding that “ICE get the f-ck out of our city” after a woman was fatally shot while trying to mow down an ICE agent.
According to federal officials, a 37-year-old female U.S. citizen, who activists claim was acting as a “legal observer” for protesters, attempted to ram her Honda Pilot into ICE officers, prompting one agent to open fire in self-defense.
DHS Secretary Kristi Noem labeled the woman’s actions an “act of domestic terrorism.”
Video footage circulating online shows the vehicle reversing and then accelerating toward agents, before shots were fired.
In response, Mayor Frey, in a profanity-laced press conference, dismissed the self-defense claim as “bullsh-t” and accused ICE of “recklessly using power” that resulted in an unnecessary death.
“Having seen the video myself, I wanna tell everybody directly, that is bullsh-t,” Frey fumed, claiming the woman was simply “driving away.”
Frey didn’t stop there; he also told ICE agents to “Get the f-ck out of Minneapolis. We do not want you here.”
After the press conference concluded, Fox News’ John Roberts stated, “it’s pretty clear that Minnesota officials are very hot about what happened, speaking in terms that some people might consider to be inflammatory toward ICE, but then other people might think are justified.”
Roberts then asked Wolf, “Where do you come down on what we’ve been saying?”
Wolf replied, “I listened to the majority of that press conference. Here’s what I’ll say that the mayor’s comments were probably some of the most unintelligible, unhinged comments I think I’ve heard in quite some time. Clearly he’s placing the blame a hundred percent based off of probably one video that he has seen on ICE agents, saying that they have inflamed the situation, that they are there to do all sorts of chaos in his city. He lays no blame at all at the individuals that are impeding law enforcement.”
“They are a law enforcement officer like any other officer, and if you get in their way, and you don’t take their commands, well then that’s against the law and you can be arrested,” Wolf continued. “But again, he brushes past that, doesn’t mention any of that. He also doesn’t mention that it’s his policies that are requiring hundreds of ICE agents in his communities. What he didn’t say there is that he knowingly releases criminal illegal aliens out of his jails back into the community, and that he purposely directs his law enforcement officers not to help ICE on the front end of any of these investigations.”
“And so when ICE is there, outnumbered as they often are, it’s because the Minneapolis Police Department has been told to stand down, that you cannot help ICE. And so my guess is that come tomorrow or even later this afternoon, that you’re going to see a ten, or sorry, a two or three-fold increase in ICE officers in Minneapolis to make sure that what occurred today doesn’t happen tomorrow.”

And the world had barely recovered from the surprise, when the question of the US Donald J. Trump administration’s interest in Greenland came back to the forefront of geopolitical tensions.
Now we have the White House saying military ‘always an option’ in Greenland, and with Europeans, led by France and Germany, scrambling to ‘resist Trump’s Greenland threats’.
The tensions are running high within NATO, with an irate Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen warning that a US takeover in Greenland would amount to the end of NATO.

Disgraced Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is pouring gasoline on the fire after today’s deadly shooting involving ICE and potentially putting more lives at risk.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, chaos erupted on Wednesday after ICE fatally shot a rioter who attempted to run over agents in Minneapolis.
Video posted to X shows the moment an unhinged female was gunned down as she carried out her act of violence.
The Department of Homeland Security called it an “act of domestic terrorism.”
Last month, leftist Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey claimed ICE’s presence in his city would get people shot and demanded ICE leave the city.
“I am aware of a shooting involving an ICE agent at 34th Street & Portland. The presence of federal immigration enforcement agents is causing chaos in our city. We’re demanding ICE to leave the city immediately. We stand rock solid with our immigrant and refugee communities,” Frey said.
A fuming Walz gave a speech on Wednesday afternoon where he expressed his fury over the shooting.
“I feel your anger,” he said. “I’m angry.”
“If you protest, please do so peacefully —as you always do,” he added.

Walz then lashed out at President Trump and DHS Secretary Kristi Noem. Then he fired what some are calling an insurrection.
“To Donald Trump and Kristi Noem: You’ve done enough,” he said. “I’ve issued a warning order to prepare the Minnesota National Guard.
“We have soldiers in training and prepared to be deployed, if necessary.”
“Minnesota will not allow our community to be used as a prop in a national political fight,” he continued. “We will not take the bait.”
