Several conservative House Republicans are demanding the immediate resignation of Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-TX) following the release of damning leaked text messages.
The scandal centers on a series of leaked communications between Gonzales and Regina Santos-Aviles, a 35-year-old regional district director for his office.
She died in September 2025 after setting herself on fire at her home; her death was ruled a suicide by the Bexar County medical examiner’s office.
As The Gateway Pundit reported last year, Rep. Tony Gonzales, a married father of six, is accused of carrying on an extramarital affair with his senior aide, Regina Santos-Aviles, who tragically died after dousing herself in gasoline and setting herself on fire.
35-year-old Aviles, a married mother of an eight-year-old son who was separated from her husband, Adrian Aviles, was often seen by Gonzales’s side. Such appearances included high-profile events, such as Elon Musk’s 2023 tour of the Mexico border in Eagle Pass.
Gonzales discussed the rumored affair at the Texas Tribune Festival in Austin, telling a reporter there was no veracity to any affair while also denying knowledge of Aviles’ passing.
“The rumors are completely untruthful. I am generally untrusting of these outlets,” Gonzales stated.
“‘Regina’s family has asked for privacy. If it was your family or any of our families, I would argue that you would want privacy as well, he added. “I don’t know exactly what happened. Nobody has contacted me. I haven’t contacted anyone.”
“I’m waiting for a final report. I think that would make a lot of sense.”
Gonzales, a so-called Republican who has repeatedly betrayed conservative principles by voting for radical gun control measures after the Uvalde tragedy and cozying up to the Biden administration on border issues, now finds himself at the center of a MeToo-style scandal that reeks of hypocrisy and moral decay.
The leaked texts, obtained by outlets like 24Sight News, paint a picture of a predatory boss exploiting his position for personal gratification.
In one exchange, Gonzales reportedly demanded “sexy pics” from Santos-Aviles late at night, inquiring about her favorite sexual positions and pushing her into uncomfortable territory while she was vulnerable and married.

The staffer’s widower, Adrian Aviles, through his attorney Bobby Barrera, has come forward with over 3,500 text messages that allegedly confirm the affair and harassment.

Aviles discovered the messages, leading to the couple’s separation, and Santos-Aviles’ subsequent spiral into depression.
Instead of taking responsibility, Gonzales has shamelessly accused the grieving husband of “blackmail” after Barrera sought a settlement under the Congressional Accountability Act for sexual harassment and retaliation.
Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) was the first to call out Gonzales publicly, posting on X: “@RepTonyGonzales, RESIGN!”

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) joined the chorus, demanding Gonzales step down immediately.

“The entire Texas delegation, as well as every single other Member of Congress, should be condemning a sitting Member of Congress asking for explicit photos of their staff. As a woman, this is really disgusting to see. Not to mention, it brings dishonor on the House of Representatives. I am so sick of people not calling this crap out. FedEx filed a lawsuit against the US and is seeking a refund of President Trump’s tariffs after the Supreme Court’s ruling.
The US Supreme Court last Friday struck down President Trump’s tariffs in a 6-3 decision.
Chief Justices Roberts, Amy Coney Barrett and Neil Gorsuch sided with the three liberal justices.
The high court did not address the billions of dollars collected from the tariffs.
President Trump addressed this during his presser last week and predicted that there would be endless litigation related to the refunds.
So now FedEx is suing for a refund.
“Plaintiffs seek for themselves a full refund from Defendants of all IEEPA duties Plaintiffs have paid to the United States,” the lawsuit said.

Federal Express on Monday sued the U.S. government, seeking a “full refund” of the money the shipping giant paid for tariffs unilaterally imposed last year by President Donald Trump, which the Supreme Court last week ruled were illegal.
FedEx’s suit appears to be the first one filed by a major American company seeking a refund for tariffs paid after the Supreme Court decision on Friday.
Other companies filed lawsuits seeking refunds before the high court ruled that the tariffs Trump imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act are illegal.
Those suits, whose plaintiffs include retail warehouse club giant Costco, remain pending at the U.S. Court of International Trade in New York, the same court where FedEx filed its lawsuit.

Gavin Newsom, who is no doubt planning to run for president, made a catastrophic blunder by trying to relate to a largely black audience in Atlanta, Georgia.
What did Gavin presume that he had in common with the audience? The fact that he had a low SAT score and struggles reading.

Newsom, whose state is currently drowning in crime and homelessness, decided to leave the disaster he created out West to kick off his nationwide book tour this weekend.
The tour for his new book, laughably titled ‘Young Man in a Hurry: A Memoir of Discovery,’ started in Nashville on Saturday. But the real trainwreck happened on Sunday during his stop in Atlanta, Georgia.
His so-called “book tour” managed to draw a whole handful of attendees, predominantly a black crowd.
While sitting down for what was supposed to be a friendly chat with Atlanta’s Democrat Mayor Andre Dickens, Newsom attempted to pander to the audience, a predominantly Black crowd, by bringing up his dyslexia and what he described as his “inability to read written text.”
Instead, he delivered a series of incredibly offensive, cringe-inducing remarks.
Newsom tried to come off as relatable to the people at his book tour by essentially equating their intelligence level with his own.

No one is buying his excuse that he was referencing his Dyslexia. Unless he believed that the audience was filled with other people who also have Dyslexia, he was still trying to relate to their perceived inability to read.
Will the left now drag him through the mud for his racism, or is that reserved for politicians with an “R” by their name?

JPMorgan Chase has admitted that it closed President Donald Trump’s bank accounts after the Jan. 6, 2021, incursion at the U.S. Capitol.
Trump has sued the bank and its CEO, Jamie Dimon, for $5 billion, according to CNBC.
Trump’s lawsuit alleged that his accounts were closed due to political reasons, which impacted his businesses.
“In a devastating concession that proves President Trump’s entire claim, JPMorgan Chase admitted to unlawfully and intentionally de-banking President Trump, his family, and his businesses, causing overwhelming financial harm,” Trump’s lawyers said in a statement.

Congress needs to pass a law that banks CANNOT de-bank customers. They did that sh*t to Kanye as well. A bank is not a standard business, it is an institutional foundation for commerce and people can’t just be kicked out just because the bank doesn’t like them.

JPMorgan’s former chief administrative officer, Dan Wilkening, wrote in the filing that “in February 2021, JPMorgan informed Plaintiffs that certain accounts maintained with JPMorgan’s CB and PB would be closed.”
“PB” stands for “private bank,” while “CB” stands for “commercial bank.”
This was the first time the bank admitted to closing Trump’s accounts.

The filing said the February 2021 letter revealed that JPMorgan “has decided to close its banking relationship with The Trump Corporation and its affiliated entities,” according to Newsweek.
“Please transfer your Accounts to another institution, or let us know where we should transfer the holdings in your Accounts, as soon as possible,” the letter said.
“We will continue to maintain your Accounts and related services until April 19, 2021,” it added.
Trump has claimed that he spoke to Dimon about what was taking place, and that Dimon assured Trump he would discern what was happening, according to CNBC.
The lawsuit alleged Dimon then did nothing.

Trump’s lawyers argued that JPMorgan put Trump and his businesses on what was termed a “blacklist” that JPMorgan and other banks keep to ensure those on the list cannot open accounts at their institutions.

President Trump said that a lot of people are “gunning” for him during a ceremony with angel families at the White House on Monday, the day after an armed man breached the perimeter at his Mar-a-Lago resort in an apparent third attempt on the President’s life. 
This comes after 21-year-old Austin Tucker Martin from North Carolina was shot and killed early Sunday morning after allegedly driving into the secure perimeter of President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida. His motive is still under investigation, but Martin was carrying what appeared to be a shotgun and a fuel can after unlawfully entering the protected grounds.
Trump appeared to make reference to the apparent attempt on his life on Monday.
While memorializing the victims of illegal alien crime, Trump said he will “never forget,” before noting, “I don’t know how long I’ll be around.”
“I got a lot of people gunning for me, don’t I?” he said.
“But I will not forget them. I’m never going to forget them.”

As TGP readers know, Team USA clinched the gold medal with a hard-fought 2-1 overtime win against arch-rival Canada in the men’s ice hockey tournament at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, Italy, on Sunday.
Star forward Jack Hughes, who plays for the New Jersey Devils in the NHL, not only scored the game-winning goal but also delivered a heartfelt patriotic message.

Another day, another Hollywood elite suffering a total mental collapse over the existence of Donald J. Trump.
Hollywood actor Robert De Niro appeared visibly emotional during a recent interview with Nicolle Wallace on MSNOW.
The segment, which felt more like a therapy session than a news broadcast, featured the two weeping over the state of the country and the “threat” of the MAGA movement.
The interview started on a bizarre note, with Nicolle Wallace practically bowing at De Niro’s feet.
Wallace: I shouldn’t be here. This shouldn’t be happening. I shouldn’t even get to meet Robert De Niro. But in this moment for our country, in this moment in our politics, we get to row in the same direction—towards something better, towards something brighter, toward a healthier state for democracy.
Moments later, De Niro launched into a rambling tirade against the millions of Americans who fly the Stars and Stripes.
Robert De Niro: Everybody has to get out there every way possible. They have to get out there. This is it. This is our country. You know, I want my country back. I don’t want everybody going around with their MAGA and the American flags like they’re the only ones. We are Americans too, and I think there are more of us—no, I don’t think, I know there are more of us—because we believe in what’s right and wrong: empathy, kindness, bringing the country together, not dispersing it.
The interview took a turn for the bizarre when Wallace praised De Niro for what she described as his lifelong commitment to “lifting people up.” But when asked why he believes that approach is necessary now, the unhinged actor appeared to choke up.
As he struggled to find his words, he described President Trump as a “thing” that is “destroying” the country.

Wallace: You’re always about lifting up everybody around you.
De Niro: Of course.
Wallace: Why is that?
De Niro: You have to—you have to lift people up.
Wallace: Why is that?
De Niro: You have to bring them together. You can’t divide people; you can’t win that way. It’s a no-win situation. And look what we have. Look who we have there. It’s almost like a destiny to have this—this thing there destroying, attempting to destroy this country, and maybe not even understanding why. So it’s up to us to protect the country that we love.
Wallace: Yes. You weren’t supposed to make me cry. Thank you for this. We talked about how this is the moment—this is the moment that it goes one way or the other.
De Niro: That’s right.
Wallace: You think it’s going the other way?
De Niro: I don’t know. All I know is people have to resist, resist, resist.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has said there is “no chance” that Democrats win statewide in November.
During an appearance on Fox News, Abbott appeared to assuage concerns that Texas may be in play in both the Senate race and gubernatorial election.
“If I had a dollar for every time someone talked about turning Texas blue, I could buy Fox News.”
“There’s no chance Democrats are going to win the election, and I’ll tell you the reason why.”
“Right now, they are fighting to win the Democrat nomination. No one is exposing them for the leftists and socialists that they are.”
”Both of them have proven voting records of what they have done, whether it be in the Texas House or the United States Congress, that are going to be used against them.”
”We will show the contrast in November. These are people who are for open border policies. People who are in favor of defunding the police. People who are in favor of boys in girl’s sports.”
”Those policies don’t sell in the state of Texas. Texas is a common-sense bastion in a country that is reeling from this leftist agenda.”
“The voters of Texas will vote in favor of common sense this November.”

Abbott is running for his fourth full term as governor and recently received the endorsement of President Trump.
