This is the second consecutive year that Al Green has been kicked out of the State of the Union.

Majority Whip Steve Scalise ripped the banner down before Al Green was thrown out.
Speaker Mike Johnson ejected Green from the House chamber.
The chamber applauded and members chanted “USA!” as Al Green was escorted out.

The ridiculous banner referenced social media post recently posted by Trump.
President Trump shared a video about the 2020 election fraud in Pennsylvania.
At the end of the video, a new video autoplayed – the screenshot of the new video, which was a play on The Lion King, depicted Michelle and Barack Obama as apes.
In the full video, Kamala Harris is a turtle, Joe Biden is a gorilla, and President Trump is the lion.

President Donald Trump gave Justice Amy Coney Barrett the cold shoulder as he entered the chamber to deliver his State of the Union Address this week.
President Trump shook ACB’s hand, but did not give her any time. This comes after she, once again, voted with Democrats, this time against President Trump’s economic tariffs.
In a 6-3 decision, Barrett and Gorsuch joined the high court’s three liberal justices and Chief Justice John Roberts in ruling against the president’s use of an emergency statute to execute the strategy core to his economic agenda.
Trump announced 15% tariffs following the SCOTUS decision.

As President Donald Trump made his way to the Capitol for his State of the Union address, a ragtag group of left-wing activists, Hollywood has-beens, and disgruntled politicians gathered at the National Press Club for what can only be described as a childish clown show.
Dubbed the “State of the Swamp: The Rebuttal to the State of the Union,” this so-called “counter-event” featured a brigade of protesters dressed in inflatable frog costumes taking center stage.
Organized by DEFIANCE.org, the Portland Frog Brigade, and COURIER Newsroom, the event was billed as a “live rebuttal” to Trump’s speech.
Attendees were encouraged to wear green attire or full frog suits as a symbol of “peaceful defiance.”
Attendees include Robert De Niro and Mark Ruffalo, as well as failed gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, disgraced CNN host Don Lemon, and radical mayors like Chicago’s Brandon Johnson and Minneapolis’ Jacob Frey.
It looked as ridiculous as you would expect.

The frogs, originating from Portland’s ICE protests where one was famously pepper-sprayed last year, have become a staple of left-wing theatrics, using “tactical frivolity” to “mock” what they describe as government overreach.
At least eight members of the Portland Frog Brigade flew in from Oregon, shipping a whopping 385 inflatable costumes to recruit more participants, according to a Fox News report.
“The Portland Frog Brigade uses inflatable animal costumes to practice the proven art of peaceful, creative dissent, exercising our right to free expression in defense of the U.S. Constitution and the rule of law,” the group’s website states. “Our Resistance Assistance program provides direct material support and services to organizations working to advance democracy, justice, and human dignity.”

Chicago’s annual snowplow naming contest has selected “Abolish ICE” as one of its top winners.
Chicago’s Streets and Sanitation Department announced the top six names chosen from public submissions and voting.
Alongside “Abolish ICE” are other entries like “Stephen Coldbert” (a nod to the anti-Trump late-night host Stephen Colbert), “Pope Frio XIV,” “The Blizzard of Oz,” “Svencoolie,” and “Caleb Chilliams” (referencing Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams).
Each of these names will be assigned to a snowplow in one of the city’s six snow districts.
As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, a Democrat with a history of extreme progressive stances, openly endorsed “Abolish ICE” back in December during an interview on MSNBC’s Politics Nation with Rev. Al Sharpton.

President Trump Delivers Address to Joint Session of Congress on March 4, 2025 – via: White House
President Trump will deliver the 2026 State of the Union Address, his first of his second term, to a Joint Session of Congress tonight, where he is expected to deliver a message focused on the economy. 
Fox News reports that Trump’s remarks will focus on the working class and affordability, and he is expected to make new economic policy announcements.

The 2026 address will be forward-looking but rooted in what the White House described as measurable progress on cost-of-living pressures, with Trump expected to list off statistics and data on the economy following the sky-high inflation rates of the Biden administration, while showcasing everyday Americans who have benefited from Trump policies, Fox News Digital learned.
“President Trump’s State of the Union Address will celebrate 250 glorious years of our nation’s independence and excellence, highlighting incredible stories of American heroes throughout the speech,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told Fox News Digital ahead of the speech.

Tonight’s speech also comes in the wake of the Supreme Court’s ruling, which invalidated his tariffs on foreign countries under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA). Trump responded to the ruling last week, announcing the continuation of existing tariffs and the imposition of new tariffs under various laws, including Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974, which allows him to impose tariffs of up to 15% for 150 days with few limitations.
Trump signed an executive order on Friday imposing a 10% global tariff on every country importing goods into the United States, The Gateway Pundit reported.

Outrageous! Just when you thought the radical left couldn’t spit in the face of hard-working American citizens any harder, they find a new way to prioritize lawbreakers over taxpayers.
Radical socialists Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani have teamed up to push free daycare for illegal aliens, using American taxpayer dollars.
The duo released a video entirely in Spanish, with English subtitles, shamelessly instructing illegal immigrants on how to enroll their kids in NYC’s 3-K and Pre-K programs, regardless of immigration status.
The video, posted by the NYC Mayor’s Office, features Mamdani admitting his Spanish “isn’t the best” before handing off to AOC to deliver the sales pitch.
With American and NYC flags in the background, as if to mock our sovereignty, they emphasize that “any parent in New York City, regardless of occupation, income, or immigration status, is eligible to register their children.”
Mamdani goes on to highlight how families have been ‘suffering deep financial ruin’ from childcare costs up to $26,000 per year, but conveniently forgets that these programs are bankrolled by citizens who follow the law.

Mamdani: This is the last week for parents to sign up their kids for the 2026–2027 school year, so to make one last push, I decided to bring in a friend.

A judge on Tuesday denied the Justice Department’s request to search a Washington Post reporter’s electronics for sensitive documents as part of its investigation into national security leaks.
As previously reported, the FBI raided the home of a Washington Post reporter who obtained classified and illegally leaked information from a Pentagon contractor.
Feds executed a search warrant at the Alexandria, Virginia, home of WaPo reporter Hannah Natanson last month as part of an investigation into a Maryland system administrator who has a top security clearance.
The contractor who stashed the classified documents at his home, Aurelio Perez-Lugones, is currently in jail.
FBI agents reportedly found classified intelligence reports in Perez-Lugones’ lunchbox and basement.
Rubio said the Pentagon contractor leaked the Maduro capture plans.
The US Army’s Delta Force captured Maduro last month. The leaked plans could have put the special operators in harm’s way.
On Tuesday, a federal magistrate judge rejected the Justice Department’s request to search Natanson’s electronics.
“Accordingly, the Court rejects the government’s request to conduct an unsupervised, wholesale search of all Movants’ seized data using a government filter team. To gather the information the government needs to prosecute its criminal case without authorizing an unrestrained search and violating Movants’ First Amendment and attorney-client privileges, the Court will conduct the review itself,” judge William Porter wrote.
“No easy remedy exists here. Movants’ First Amendment rights have been restrained. The government seized all of Ms. Natanson’s work product, documentary material, and devices, terminating her access to the confidential sources she developed and to all the tools she needs as a working journalist. The government’s proposed remedy—that she simply buy a new phone and laptop, set up new accounts, and start from scratch—is unjust and unreasonable,” the judge wrote.

A federal judge in Virginia rejected the Justice Department’s request to search through a Washington Post reporter’s electronic devices as part of a national security leak investigation, ruling that the court would instead be responsible for conducting the search.
The Tuesday ruling suggested that Magistrate Judge William Porter did not trust the government to conduct a narrow search of the devices and feared that such an examination could risk exposing more than 1,000 of the reporter’s government sources to the Justice Department.
“Given the documented reporting on government leak investigations and the government’s well chronicled efforts to stop them, allowing the government’s filter team to search a reporter’s work product — most of which consists of unrelated information from confidential sources — is the equivalent of leaving the government’s fox in charge of the Washington Post’s henhouse,” Porter wrote.
Porter also sharply criticized prosecutors for not briefing him in their search warrant application on a federal law that protects reporters against searches in many situations: the Privacy Protection Act of 1980. Their failure to inform him about the law before he approved the warrant in the case “has seriously undermined the Court’s confidence in the government’s disclosures in this proceeding,” he wrote.
