US Coast Guard Launches Criminal Investigation After American Woman Falls Overboard in Bahamas, Goes Missing at Sea – Husband Taken Into Custody

The US Coast Guard on Wednesday launched a criminal investigation into the disappearance of an American woman who went overboard near Elbow Cay in the Bahamas.
Authorities are searching for Lynette Hooker, 55, after she went overboard late Saturday night while she was on a dinghy boat with her husband, Brian Hooker.
Brian Hooker, 59, said his wife fell from the boat late Saturday night during inclement weather and rough seas.
Earlier Wednesday, Lynette Hooker’s daughter shared a voicemail her stepfather left her after her mother disappeared.
Brian Hooker did not sound distressed or upset.
“I found the flotation device that I threw to mom after she went overboard,” Brian Hooker said.

On Wednesday evening, police took Brian Hooker into custody for questioning.
    NBC News reported:
A man was in custody Wednesday in connection with the disappearance of an American woman whose husband said she fell from a boat in the Bahamas, according to the Royal Bahamas Police Force.
Earlier Wednesday, an official with the U.S. Coast Guard said the military branch opened a criminal investigation into her disappearance.
The official declined further comment about the weekend disappearance of Lynette Hooker, 55.
Brian Hooker has said his wife fell in the water Saturday night during rough seas on a dinghy ride from Hope Town to Elbow Cay.
The police force said a 59-year-old American was being questioned after being taken into custody shortly after 7 p.m. Wednesday in Marsh Harbour, a town in Abaco Islands.
The police force did not identify the man in its news release, nor did it name Lynette Hooker, but provided details about the case the aligned with information about her disappearance.
Local authorities said Tuesday that the effort to find her was a “recovery operation.”

Revival? Massive Number of Churches See Explosive 38 Percent Surge in Conversions at Easter Services

Roman Catholic dioceses across America saw a 38 percent increase in people attending church at Easter this year, compared to last, a sign that revival is breaking out.
The finding is consistent with recent polling showing a noticeable rise in people indicating that they’ve made a personal commitment to Jesus Christ.
The prayer app Hallow said in a news release that new original data it has compiled regarding the Roman Catholic Church showed a “significant rise in catechumens and candidates across the United States in 2026.”
“Based on data compiled exclusively by Hallow from more than 140 of the 175 U.S. dioceses (more than 80%), dioceses are experiencing a 38% annual increase on average in individuals entering the Church through the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA),” the release said.
The four largest Catholic dioceses in the U.S. saw significant growth, including Los Angeles at 139 percent; Chicago, up 52 percent; New York, up 36 percent; and Phoenix, which saw a 23 percent increase.
“Really incredible to see what’s going on across dioceses in the US this Easter. The Lord is truly at work, bringing so many back to Him and to experience His love right now,” Hallow CEO and co-founder Alex Jones said.
“As we see firsthand at Hallow the impact of what so many priests, sisters, Church leaders, and more are doing across parishes in the US, it’s beautiful to see the fruits of their labor and the ways folks are reaching for the Lord.”

The U.S. Catholic Church experienced an estimated 38% increase in adult converts over the Easter weekend, driven by young men in their 20s, according to an analysis of data from 140 of the nation’s 175 dioceses.

Michael New, a social researcher at the Catholic University of America, told The Washington Times, “I think this reflects a pushback against secular liberalism, feminism, and transgender stuff.”
“Catholic young adult groups are one of the few places where many young people can question socially liberal positions without fear of being marginalized or ostracized,” he added.
A Barna poll published in April 2025 found that “66 percent of all U.S. adults say they have made a personal commitment to Jesus that is still important in their life today. That marks a 12-percentage-point increase since 2021, when commitment levels reached their lowest in more than three decades of Barna tracking.”
“This shift is not only statistically significant — it may be the clearest indication of meaningful spiritual renewal in the United States,” the organization said.
Gen Z and Millennials are fueling the faith renewal, and the turn is most pronounced among men.
In 2019, 52 percent of Gen Z men said they had made a personal commitment to following Jesus, but by 2025, 67 percent had. Among women, the number moved from 54 percent in 2019 to 61 percent in 2025.
And with Millennial men, the move was 52 percent to 71 percent by 2025, and among women, 58 percent to 64 percent.

Following Charlie Kirk’s assassination in September 2025, 2.4 million Bibles were sold in the U.S. that month, a 36 percent jump, Fox Business reported, further fueling the youth faith awakening.
Michael Maiden, lead pastor of Church for the Nations in Phoenix, told The Western Journal in the fall of 2023, as large Christian gatherings were starting to take place regularly on college campuses, that America was in the first stages of revival.
“There are measurable signs in the culture, not of a broad, complete revival, but the beginning kernels popping or… the first waves of something good happening,” he said.
“Revival’s not when the culture changes; revival’s when hearts are won to Jesus. And the consequence of that is a change in culture,” Maiden explained.

At Sunday’s Easter service for his church, the pastor observed, “As we study demographically, there’s like really five generations — Baby Boomers, [Gen] X, Millennials, [Gen] Zs, Alphas… but we’ve never seen, as we’ve studied behavior and spiritual beliefs and cultural activity, we’ve never seen a generation more hungry and more open to God than the Zs.”

“They are the most spiritually hungry generation in American history. What does that mean? Revival’s here,” he proclaimed.
So let’s pray that it continues and grows, in Jesus’ name.

Biden Judge Says President Trump Cannot End Protected Status for Thousands of Ethiopians

A federal judge on Wednesday said President Trump cannot end Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for thousands of Ethiopians.
In 2022, the Biden Regime allowed more than 5,000 Ethiopians to enter the US and live here with special protections.
Their TPS status was extended again in April 2024 and expired on February 13, 2026.
Upon taking office again in January 2025, President Trump immediately revoked the Biden-era ‘Temporary Protected Status’ and ordered the DHS to ensure that the TPS designations were limited.
On Wednesday US District Judge Brian Murphy, a Biden appointee, said President Trump violated the process by revoking the protections.
Judge Murphy postponed the effective date of the termination of Ethiopia’s TPS designation.
    Reuters reported:
A federal judge on Wednesday halted a move by U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration to end legal protections granted to over 5,000 Ethiopians that have allowed them ‌to live and work in the United States.
The ruling by U.S. District Judge Brian Murphy in Boston ‌marked the latest legal setback for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s efforts to terminate the Temporary Protected Status designation for 13 countries in furtherance of Trump’s hardline immigration agenda.
Earlier this year, Judge Murphy issued a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) and blocked the Trump Administration from ending the protection for the Ethiopians.
The DHS previously slammed the judge for his decision:
After reviewing country conditions and consulting with the appropriate U.S. government agencies, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem determined that Ethiopia no longer met the conditions for its designation for Temporary Protected Status (TPS).
See Termination of the Designation of Ethiopia for Temporary Protected Status, 90 Fed. Reg 58028 (Dec. 15, 2025). Ethiopia’s TPS designation and related benefits were slated to terminate on Feb. 13, 2026.
However, on Jan. 30, 2026, a single judge in the U.S. District of Massachusetts stayed the Secretary’s TPS termination decision. African Communities Together et al. v. Noem et al., No. 26-cv-10278-BEM (D. Mass.).
The judge did so even though the Department of Homeland Security recently prevailed twice in the U.S. Supreme Court in a similar case.
The Department of Homeland Security vehemently disagrees with this order and is working with Department of Justice to determine next steps.
The Supreme Court this month will hear oral arguments on the Trump Administration’s decision to end TPS for hundreds of thousand of Haitians and Syrians.

    The New York Post reported:
“The drug dealer known as the ‘Ketamine Queen’ who was convicted in the overdose death of ‘Friends’ star Matthew Perry was sentenced to 15 years Wednesday for the crime.
Jasveen Sangha, 42, was one of five people who pleaded guilty for their roles in Perry’s 2023 death, but the only one whose plea deal included an acknowledgment of causing the actor’s death.”

Matthew Perry’s stepmother has delivered a devastating victim impact statement urging the judge to give the “Ketamine Queen” the maximum sentence.

“’The pain you’ve caused to hundreds maybe thousands is irreversible’, Debbie Perry, who is married to Matthew Perry’s father, John Bennett Perry, wrote in a victim impact statement ahead of the sentencing.
‘There is no joy to be found, no light in the window. They won’t be back. That thought comes through our day every day. No escape. You caused this. You who has talent for business. Enough to make money. Chose the one way that hurts people’.”

Ben Bryant wrote for The Telegraph on the question of why a woman who was set to inherit millions would risk it all to sell drugs.
“The friends I spoke to all claim not to have known anything about Sangha’s drug business, and it is difficult to determine when she moved from partying to supply. It is clear that Sangha was dealing drugs at least four years before Perry’s death, however, because she supplied ketamine to a 33-year-old man named Cody McLaury, who died of a drug overdose in 2019.
[…] It is not known how Sangha ultimately came into contact with Perry. Although a friend has suggested that the pair met in rehab, the claim is fiercely denied by Sangha’s defense team.
The supply of ketamine to Perry was arranged via text messages from Erik Fleming, an intermediary who is due to be sentenced on April 29. Sangha and Fleming sold Perry 51 vials of ketamine across two transactions, including the dose that led to his death.
Ahead of the sentencing, character references repeatedly spoke of Sangha’s “kind” and “compassionate” nature. […] Despite that, the facts of the case present a more complex picture. While it is difficult to characterize Sangha as a cold-blooded drug kingpin, she did avoid reckoning with the consequences of her actions until they pierced the Hollywood bubble that meant everything to her.”

‘Rule, Britannia, Britannia rule the waves’ was once the national chant – but not anymore.
While the conflict in Iran is dominating the news cycle, in Europe, the Globalists are hard at work trying to enforce their myriads of sanctions against Russia, notably against what is called its ‘Shadow Fleet’.
When it comes to the United Kingdom, its failing Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who is ‘no Winston Churchill’, according to Donald J. Trump, has threatened to seize ‘Shadow Fleet’ tankers passing in their territorial waters.
Apparently, Starmer forgot that Moscow does get a say in the matter, so it arose today that a Russian warship has escorted sanctioned vessels through the English Channel.

“Last month, Sir Keir gave special forces the authority to capture the armada of rusted ships illegally ferrying oil to support Russia’s war in Ukraine, saying he would hit the shadow fleet ‘even harder’ if they sailed through British waters. However, Britain is yet to seize a single Russian vessel.
The Prime Minister has repeatedly faced criticism regarding the state of the Royal Navy and Britain’s Armed Forces. After an Iranian-made drone hit RAF Akrotiri, HMS Dragon, Britain’s only deployable destroyer, was sent to the Middle East, but took three weeks to arrive and has already had to return to port as it suffers water supply issues.
[…] Donald Trump, the US president, has previously described the Navy’s two aircraft carriers as ‘toys’ while his defense secretary, Pete Hegseth, mocked Britain’s ‘big, bad Royal Navy’.
The US first stormed a Russian-sanctioned oil tanker in January, prompting pledges from Western nations to seize further ships. While the French navy has intercepted some tankers in the Mediterranean, dozens of Russian vessels are believed to have passed through the Channel since Sir Keir’s threat.”

According to federal prosecutors, between 2022 and 2025, Williams disclosed Top Secret classified information in communication with a journalist via phone and text message.
“Clearance holders accept a solemn obligation to protect the classified information entrusted to them,” said Assistant Attorney General for National Security John A. Eisenberg. “That they do so is critical to the security of our Nation. When clearance holders violate that trust, the National Security Division will act swiftly to hold them accountable.”
“We trust our war fighting individuals to cooperate as a team to protect our military and country,” said U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of North Carolina Ellis Boyle. “We will pursue criminal charges to keep these warriors safe whenever we find leakers exalting their own feelings over the safety of the United States.”
    More from the Justice Department:
According to court documents, from 2010 to 2016, Williams worked for a Special Military Unit (SMU) and held a Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance. As a clearance holder, Williams received training as to the proper handling, safeguarding, and storage of classified information.
Williams also signed a Classified Nondisclosure Agreement which, in relevant part, confirmed her understanding that the unauthorized disclosure of classified information could constitute a criminal offense. In her role at the SMU, Williams had daily access to a broad range of classified information.
As alleged, between 2022 and 2025, Williams repeatedly communicated with the Journalist via telephone and text messages. During this period, Williams and the Journalist had over 10 hours of telephone calls and exchanged more than 180 messages. In one such message, the Journalist identified themselves as a journalist and stated that they sought information about the SMU in support of an upcoming article and book.
After these communications with Williams, the Journalist published a book and article that named Williams as a source and attributed specific statements to her. Some of these statements contained classified national defense information. In addition to her disclosures to the Journalist, Williams also made unauthorized disclosures of national defense information via her social media accounts.
On the day the article and book were published, Williams exchanged several messages with the Journalist. In one such message, Williams stated that she was “concerned about the amount of classified information being disclosed.” In a separate message to a third party, Williams added that, “I might actually get arrested . . . for disclosing classified information.” In a subsequent message, Williams citied a statutory provision of the Espionage Act. And when asked how she knew that she may face legal consequences for her disclosures to the Journalist, Williams responded, “I have known my entire career,” adding that “they tell you everyday . . . 100 times a day.” Finally, in a message to a different third party, Williams stated that she was “probably going to jail for life.”

Venezuelan Oil Surges Back Into U.S. as Chevron Ramps Up Massive Imports

Chevron is importing approximately 250,000 barrels of Venezuelan crude oil per day into the United States, according to company officials.
The increase follows recent developments in Venezuela after the recent capture and extradition of socialist dictator Nicolás Maduro from his palace in Caracas.
The country’s new leadership is now cooperating with the U.S. on a variety of matters, including the opening up of its oil markets.
Andy Walz, president of downstream, midstream, and chemicals at Chevron, confirmed the scale of imports in an interview with the BBC.
Tankers are now arriving regularly at U.S. ports, including a recent shipment of 400,000 barrels delivered to the Gulf Coast.
Venezuela has the largest proven oil reserves in the world, but production has declined significantly over the past two decades.

.@Chevron Global Refining President Andy Walz on Venezuelan oil making its way to the U.S.: “Venezuela’s just starting to flow… You’re adding supply. More supply drives down the price — and that will eventually go to the pump.” pic.twitter.com/gJLhYjm7Uz
    — Rapid Response 47 (@RapidResponse47) February 12, 2026

Output once exceeded 3 million barrels per day but fell sharply due to the collapse of the country’s economy following Hugo Chavez’s “Bolivarian Revolution.”
Following Maduro’s removal, Venezuelan authorities have moved to reopen the sector to foreign involvement.
Chevron is currently the only U.S. company operating in Venezuela with the ability to extract and transport crude oil.
“We think we can take that up another 50 percent so call it somewhere around 350,000 to 400,000 barrels a day,” Walz said.
Walz added that additional supply from Venezuela could increase availability in the U.S. market as shipments continue.
“When things do get back to normal, that additional supply out of Venezuela will actually translate to lower prices for Americans,” he continued.
”So it will in the future, but it isn’t having an impact now.”

    — BRICS Monitor (@BRICStracker) April 8, 2026

The increase in imports comes as global oil markets face supply pressure linked to the conflict in Iran and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
Unlike many countries, U.S. refineries are able to process heavier crude such as Venezuelan oil.
According to industry data, a majority of U.S. refining capacity is configured to handle heavier grades.
“It’s a pretty big incentive for us to run it,” said Tim Potter, director of Chevron’s refinery in Pascagoula, Mississippi.
“The refinery was really designed… to run heavy oils like from Venezuela.”
The U.S. has issued limited licenses allowing certain companies to purchase Venezuelan oil under controlled conditions. Proceeds from those sales are held under U.S. oversight.
Other companies have also begun loading shipments from Venezuela’s main export terminals under similar arrangements.

Media Lies About ICE: Shot for No Reason, Suicide in Custody, and Married to a Soldier

ICE regularly arrests gang members, fugitive aliens, those with final orders of deportation, and other illegal aliens. Photo courtesy of Immigration and Customs Enforcement
The media keeps misrepresenting stories by focusing on half-truths and omitting crucial details of ICE cases with the intent of evoking emotions and hatred toward law enforcement. These stories often include emotional and irrelevant framing, such as claims that someone was on his way to see his premature baby, his wife was having chemo, someone close to him had a heart attack for unrelated reasons, or he was on his way to donate a kidney when he was arrested for no reason or for being brown.
They say he was in the process of getting his paperwork done, he was hardworking, she just wanted a better life, or they were confused because they spoke no English. But when you investigate the cases, you find that ICE was right, the people were in the country illegally, and here is what actually happened.
Three cases this week follow the same pattern.
The first narrative is of an innocent man shot by ICE for no reason. The facts are that an illegal alien, a gang member wanted for murder, was shot while using his vehicle as a weapon against ICE agents.
ICE identified the target as Carlos Ivan Mendoza Hernandez, an illegal alien and 18th Street Gang member wanted in El Salvador for questioning in connection with a murder. He was flagged by the National Targeting Center.
The Department of Justice has described the 18th Street Gang, a designated transnational terrorist organization, as a “well-known and established international criminal organization and violent street gang” with more than 100,000 members in the United States.
ICE agents conducted a targeted vehicle stop near Interstate 5 in Patterson, about 90 miles south of Sacramento. As agents approached the car, Mendoza Hernandez used his vehicle in an attempt to run over an agent. Officers fired defensive shots to protect themselves, their fellow agents, and the public.
Dashcam footage corroborates the broad outline of the official account. The video shows the hatchback reversing into a truck behind it, with the passenger-side door open and heavily damaged in the collision. Seconds later, the vehicle moves forward and turns toward the road as officers draw their weapons.
Mendoza Hernandez was hospitalized in critical condition.
The next story is that ICE locked up a teenager, a child, for no reason and murdered him. Of course, as with many of these angry posts, they never mention that he was in the country illegally, that he had multiple charges against him, including a felony, or that he committed suicide.
The fact is that 19-year-old Royer Perez Jimenez came to the United States unlawfully four years ago. His family said the reason was that he wanted a job.
Perez initially entered the United States on February 19, 2022. He was encountered by U.S. Border Patrol and granted a voluntary return to Mexico the same day. On an unknown date, he illegally reentered the United States, which is a federal felony.
He was arrested in January for resisting arrest and providing a false ID to police. He fled from officers, gave multiple false names, and admitted to being in the country illegally.
ICE placed an immigration detainer on him on January 22. He was transferred into ICE custody on February 21 and subsequently moved to the Glades County Detention Center on February 26. At intake, he was evaluated by medical staff, denied any behavioral health issues or concerns, and answered “no” to all suicide screening questions.
At approximately 2:34 a.m. on March 16, a Glades County detention officer found Perez unconscious and unresponsive. Staff immediately started CPR. Moore Haven Fire Rescue EMS arrived at approximately 2:42 a.m. and initiated life-sustaining interventions. He was pronounced deceased at 2:51 a.m. ICE listed the cause as a presumed suicide.
The final case is one liberals can only support by engaging in cognitive dissonance. On the one hand, they hate patriots and the military, but in this case, they ask, “How can we treat our veterans like this?”
Just days after marrying a U.S. Army staff sergeant, Annie Ramos wound up in ICE custody awaiting possible deportation. This is where more cognitive dissonance comes in. Although liberals hate Christianity, the reports all stress the fact that Ramos is a Sunday school teacher. They also make sure to tell readers that she just finished her degree, which is irrelevant to being in the country illegally.
Born in Honduras and brought to the United States as a toddler, she was in the country illegally. A deportation order was issued in absentia in 2005 after her family missed an immigration court hearing.
The media describe Ramos as “DACA-eligible,” but she has never held DACA. She applied, but per a court injunction, USCIS is prohibited from granting initial DACA requests, leaving her with only a pending application that cannot be processed. When outlets call her “eligible,” they are expressing an opinion about what the policy should allow, not describing her actual legal status. In legal terms, she is an illegal alien with a final removal order issued in 2005, no valid immigration status, and no DACA protection.
On April 2, 2026, Staff Sgt. Matthew Blank brought Ramos to Fort Polk to register her as a military spouse and begin processing her military ID and green card application. ICE agents detained her within hours of their arrival.
The media have focused heavily on the phrase “registration as a military spouse” as if this has bearing on the case. That registration would have given her a military dependent ID, allowing her to access subsidized groceries and various on-base amenities, but it has nothing to do with immigration status. The green card application was a separate matter her attorney had prepared, and even that could not proceed without first vacating the 2005 removal order.
Ramos remained in custody until April 8, 2026, when authorities released her on an order of supervision with a GPS monitor while removal proceedings continue.
