18-year-old Texas teen Aundre Matthews appears in court after murdering 16-year-old Andrew Meismer
A black 18-year-old accused of fatally stabbing his White 16-year-old classmate in a classroom at Baytown Sterling High School in Baytown, Texas, has been charged with murder and is being held on a $3 million bond.
Aundre Matthews reportedly killed his classmate, Sterling High School sophomore Andrew Meismer, in what prosecutors say was a fight over a vape pen.
“Defendant followed the complainant to the bathroom, searched his pockets, did not find the pen, but instead found a pair of scissors on the complainant’s person. He took the scissors and put them in his own waste band,” prosecutors told the judge. It was later in an empty classroom, where a witness “heard cries for help and observed this defendant holding the complainant in a chokehold with the defendant’s arm around his neck,” the prosecutor said. “Witness Davis attempted to remove the arm from the neck of the complainant, but this defendant would not remove his arm. He observed blood coming from his neck and the complainant’s body.”
Matthews’s attorney told reporters that the judge will decide whether to revoke or change the bond during a January 7 hearing.

The Gateway Pundit reported that Meismer was airlifted to a hospital on Wednesday, but he died from his injuries.
Goose Creek Superintendent Dr. Randal O’Brien addressed the fatal stabbing in a statement, writing, “After careful consideration, the administration decided that the best way to serve our students and faculty in the wake of this tragedy would be to come together as a campus community to provide in-person support.”
“To that end, we reopened Sterling on Thursday morning with a full crisis response team in place and ready to serve our students and staff as they process yesterday’s events,” O’Brien continued.
Students protested the violence, calling for “Justice for Andrew” earlier in the week. “They’re not separating these kids that clearly aren’t fit to be in a normal classroom environment and are a danger to other students,” one student said.
Other students revealed that the student already has a rap sheet at the school for assaulting students and bringing knives on campus, “but nothing was ever done about it,” and he was always allowed to return to school. “It’s just business as usual,” one woman said, noting that “somebody’s child died on their property, and it’s like come take your finals and go to school.”

Dr. Ben Carson spoke at AmFest 2025 on Saturday. He had some very kind words to honor Charlie Kirk.
“I miss Charlie, like so many of you do,” Carson said.
“You kind of have to look at it from the perspective of eternity. From that perspective, if you are here for one day, 31 years, 120 years, it’s a snap of the finger against the backdrop of eternity,” Carson said.
“For his snap of the finger, how many lives did Charlie impact? That’s what we should be thinking about,” Carson continued.
Dr. Carson also expressed his gratitude for being able to live in the United States.
“We are so lucky. We are so lucky to live in this country. Have you ever thought about it?” Carson asked.
“We are extraordinarily blessed, and we need to keep it that way. But our founders wanted not only that, they wanted a place where people could live in freedom and where the will of the people would be respected,” Dr. Carson continued.
“It’s 250 years later, and we are still here,” Carson continued.
“We’ve become a land of promise for so many people,” Carson said.
Dr. Carson explained that our adversaries would defeat us militarily if they could. Since they lack that ability, he said they would instead subvert institutions like education, media and faith.
“If they could overcome us militarily, they would do it, but they can’t. We are too powerful,” Carson said.
“I think you might think about our education system. Could we possibly infiltrate the teacher unions, and the public schools, so that we can indoctrinate the children? Could we gain control of the media of Hollywood, so that we can change the culture of the people? Should we do everything we can to destroy the American family, the traditional family?” Carson said of those who want to destroy American values.
“Should we infiltrate the churches and convince the ministers to preach the social gospel rather than the gospel that is in the book of the Bible about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who has saved all of us?” Carson asked of those hostile to the Christian faith.
Dr. Carson also said that those opposed to the traditional values of America would attack our founding fathers by trying to discredit them.
“Should we discredit the American Constitution, make it old fashioned and out of step? Should we discredit the founders of our country?” Carson said of those who oppose the great founding of our nation.
Dr. Carson told the crowd that slavery existed in numerous countries. What made the United States unique is that we wanted to get rid of it and made major sacrifices to get rid of the evil practice.
“The thing that really made America unique is that we had so many people who vehemently opposed the evil institution, that they fought a bloody civil war and lost a large portion of the population to get rid of it,” Carson explained.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) came out swinging on House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) in response to a recent press conference where Jeffries called him “a joke, an embarrassment, an unserious individual, and a malignant clown.”
This comes after the House Oversight Committee launched an investigation earlier this month into the widespread welfare and social services fraud perpetrated by Somali aliens, who stole billions of dollars from the state and federal government.
“The Committee on Oversight and Government Reform is investigating reports of widespread fraud in Minnesota’s social services programs. The Committee has serious concerns about how you as the Governor, and the Democrat-controlled administration, allowed millions of dollars to be stolen. The Committee also has concerns that you and your administration were fully aware of this fraud and chose not to act for fear of political retaliation,” James Comer wrote in a letter to Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Attorney General Keith Ellison.
“The Committee therefore requests documents and communications showing what your administration knew about this fraud and whether you took action to limit or halt the investigation into this widespread fraud.”
Additionally, as The Gateway Pundit reported, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has launched his own investigation into the money trail and potential ties to terrorism.
On Thursday, a reporter asked Jeffries if he thinks Walz and Ellison should cooperate with the Committee’s investigation and whether or not he’s worried about the billions of stolen tax dollars in Minnesota.
But instead of even addressing the question, Jeffries went on a baseless attack against Comer and sounded like a bigger retard than Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.
“James Comer is a joke, an embarrassment, an unserious individual, and a malignant clown,” Jeffries said before overconfidently pointing to another reporter.

Comer responded on Saturday, shrugging off the comments, noting that it’s his go-to talking point, calling Comer a “clown.” Comer continued, roasting him as “Dollar Store Obama” and “a low-IQ individual.”
“At the end of the day, to defend Tim Waltz is going to be a huge mistake for the Democrats because everyone in Minnesota knows that this fraud has been taking place for a long time,” Comer added.
