After bus after bus of illegal aliens were dumped into New York City from Texas over the course of the last year, increasing crime and draining the city of essential resources, Mayor Eric Adams has officially waved the white flag of surrender, and is now begging  the courts to somehow find a way to end NYC’s official “sanctuary” status.
Adams, who once championed and promised to maintain the metropolitan’s “sanctuary city” status when he was running for mayor, appeared in court this past week begging a judge to reevaluate the whole thing.

This Ain’t Working!
Adams spoke to the press after his appearance to justify his about-face on this issue:
“The law of sanctuary city was in place long before I became mayor. I’m following the law. As a law enforcement person, you know, we follow the law. We are now in court now, today, asking the judge to revisit this law to deal with this humanitarian crisis because, even when they decided to put in place that law, no one thought they would be dealing with a humanitarian crisis of this proportion.”
According to Timcast.com, “Mayor Adams issued an executive order suspending the city’s right-to-shelter rules on Wednesday night. Under this policy, the city was required to locate private rooms for asylum seekers.”
Adams had this week already referred to the crisis NYC is facing as “a real burden,” finally admitting that this acceptance of illegal aliens and otherwise undocumented economic opportunists into the city, who overflowed hotels and were treated to a myriad of other tax payer provided resources, was too much for the people of NYC to handle.

‘Colossal Efforts’
A spokesperson for the Adams administration relayed once again the critical concern that this immigration crisis was having on the citizens of NYC, attempting to highlight their successes while still pointing out the very obvious strain it was having.
“Not asylum seeking-family that has sought shelter from us over the last year has slept on the street thanks to our colossal efforts, but without more support from our federal and state partners, we are concerned the worst may be yet to come.
“With over 130 emergency sites and eight humanitarian relief centers already opened, we have reached out limit, and last week we had to resort to temporarily housing recent arrivals in gyms,” the spokesperson continued. “In an effort to mitigate those risks and find room within our shelter system, the city has temporarily suspended the policy surrounding timing for placements in shelters.”
A report from the non-profit Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) pointed out that over 61,000 illegal aliens arrived in NYC over the past year, and roughly 40,000 are currently receiving some form of taxpayer provided benefits such as “housing, food, and other benefits.”
“Mayor Adams estimates that the Biden administration’s immigration policies will cost the city $4.3 billion in 2023 and 2024,” the report stated. “These costs were not included in a recent FAIR cost study that found New York was home to 1.8 million illegal aliens which cost taxpayers $9.9 billion.”

In response to a Tuesday SOS from Texas Gov. Greg Abbott to fellow governors seeking help at the southern border, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis was among the first to answer the call. Florida is sending more than 1,000 personnel, including 800 National Guard troops, to help secure the Texas-Mexico border.
“Florida stands ready to help defend the southern border and is deploying assets to aid Texas’ border security crisis,” DeSantis announced within an hour of Abbott’s call on Tuesday.
“The impacts of Biden’s Border Crisis are felt by communities across the nation, and the federal government’s abdication of duty undermines the sovereignty of our country and the rule of law,” he said. “At my direction, state agencies including law enforcement and the Florida National Guard are being deployed to Texas, with assets including personnel, boats and planes. While Biden ignores the crisis he created, Florida stands ready to help Texas respond to this crisis.”
Florida is sending more than 1,100 assets and resources, including 101 Florida Highway Patrol troopers, 200 Florida Department of Law Enforcement officers in teams of 40, 20 Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officers, 800 Florida National Guard soldiers, and 20 Emergency Management personnel, including radio technicians, logisticians, mechanics and planners.
The state also is sending five available fixed wing aircraft with monitoring equipment and downlink capabilities with two aviation crew teams, two Mobile Command Vehicles and two command teams, 17 available unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) and support teams, and 10 vessels – including airboats, shallow draft vessels, and mid-range vessels.
“We stand with Texas as they work to repel illegal aliens at the border,” Division of Emergency Management Director Kevin Guthrie said. “We are prepared to assist however needed.”

The Florida Division of Emergency Management, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Florida National Guard, Florida Highway Patrol and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission are ready to deploy within the next 24 hours, he said.
Through the Emergency Management Assistance Compact, Abbott notes in his letter to the 49 governors, states can provide resources, including personnel, to other states to assist in times of emergency, which the GOP governors who responded agree the border crisis warrants.
Texas and Florida are both parties to the EMAC and accept support from each state at any time through an EMAC request. The EMAC process also ensures resources and personnel deployed for emergency situations are eligible for FEMA reimbursement.
In July 2021, DeSantis also sent troops and reinforcements, meeting with Abbott in Del Rio, Texas, to discuss joint border security operations.
DeSantis is again sending assistance now after the Florida legislature passed extensive border security measures. Florida is continuing to be negatively impacted by Biden administration policies, state lawmakers and law enforcement chiefs have argued. Biden administration policies have directly resulted in increased crime, human and drug trafficking and smuggling and are burdening taxpayers in other ways, they have argued.

Groups of tens of thousands of foreign nationals have already arrived in the Rio Grande Valley and other areas of Texas, overwhelming Border Patrol agents to a breaking point, officials said. Abbott has sent over 10,000 Texas National Guard troops to the border as Texas border communities continue to declare emergencies.
The Texas governor also asked for help after at least 125 known, suspected terrorists have been caught illegally entering the southern border this fiscal year to date and as the former ICE chief argues Biden administration policies are the greatest national security threat since 9/11.
The Biden administration continues to claim the border is closed, something Abbott and DeSantis argue is verifiably false.

Things just keep getting more uncomfortable the more information comes out regarding 89-year-old California Senator Dianne Feinstein’s declining physical and cognitive help. A recent interview seems to double down on the fact that Feinstein is simply no longer fit to continue to serve in the U.S. Senate.
During a recent discussion with reporter regarding her return to the office after being gone for ten weeks, things got heated as Feinstein scolded the reporter who dare mentioned the nearly three month long absence.

Los Angeles Times reporter Benjamin Oreskes asked Feinstein the other day how she was doing after her recent fight with shingles, as well as how things have been since she returned to work and began voting again.
“Aren’t you an eager one?” Feinstein said as she was being pushing in a wheelchair to her next appointment. From there, when the reporter continued to ask her questions about whether her return had been greeted warmly by colleagues, things went south really fast.
“What have I heard about what?” asked the Senator.
“About your return,” clarified Oreskes.
“I haven’t been gone. You should… I haven’t been gone. I’ve been working,” stated Feinstein.
Oreskes asked if she meant she had been working from home from instead of physically being at the Senate, but Feinstein doubled down and insisted she wasn’t gone- at all.
“You’ve been working from home is what you’re saying?” He asked.
“No, I’ve been here. I’ve been voting, Please, either know or don’t know,” Feinstein shot back at the reporter, thus ending their short interview.

A faction of elected Democrats have stated that Feinstein, who has recently announced that she will not be seeking re-election, should step down and allow a younger, fitter replacement to serve out the rest of her current term, but Feinstein just isn’t having that, having already adopted a lighter schedule so that she can perform her minimum duties but still serve.
As the oldest member of the Senate, concerns over her ability to carry out her duties only amplified when she went home to California to battle shingles, especially since she sits on the Senate Judiciary Committee and was needed by Democrats to prevent a potential tie-breaking that could get in the way of President Joe Biden’s judicial nominees.
Strangely, Democrats have been almost completely silent when it comes to the condition of another Democrat Senator in obvious need to full-time care, Pennsylvania freshman Senator John Fetterman, who after suffering from a dangerous stroke last year, spend most of his first term at Walter Reed Medical Center citing depression as the major factor, as well as issues with his hearing.
Fetterman’s condition was on full display recently, when he was unable to read coherently from a sheet of paper. No elected Democrats or party figures have posed the question as to where Fetterman, unlike Feinstein, should be forced to step down so someone physically capable can assume the role.

A new report by Sen. Marco Rubio concludes that “a serious biosafety incident” in China most likely caused the coronavirus pandemic. But the exhaustive study, which took two years to complete and includes vast translations of original Chinese language source material, reaches another, perhaps more troubling, verdict: They knew.
The document obtained early by RealClearPolitics paints a picture of a Chinese Communist Party so eager to make advancements in bioscientific research that officials in Beijing willfully and repeatedly ignored known safety shortcomings at the Wuhan Institute of Virology as early as July 2019. Then, once the pandemic that would eventually kill 7 million people started, they launched a “cover-up.”
Chinese officials have consistently called the lab leak hypothesis a lie, insisting that the theory is politically motivated and has no scientific basis. The Rubio report details, however, that as early as February 2020 China had launched a comprehensive effort to strengthen biosafety measures at the Wuhan lab and facilities around the country through new, stricter regulations.
“Just as Beijing was denying the possibility that COVID-19 came from a lab on the world stage,” according to the document authored by the ranking member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, “it was warning its own officials of such risks and rolling out new measures to prevent lab accidents.” Additionally, as China downplayed the danger, or even took steps to hide it and its origin from the world, they were quietly moving to protect themselves.
Scientists associated with the People’s Liberation Army filed a patent for a COVID-19 vaccine in February of 2020. According to research methodology reviewed by Rubio, they began work four months earlier in November of 2019. Beijing did not alert the World Health Organization of the outbreak of a virus “of unknown etiology” until January of 2020.
“The implications are impossible to ignore,” Rubio said in a statement. “Beijing hid the truth. This report reinforces the need to hold the Chinese Communist Party accountable.”

The White House has repeatedly voiced frustration with China for its lack of transparency, and early in his tenure, President Biden ordered the director of national intelligence to conduct a 90-day inquiry into the origins of the virus. The intelligence community, however, was divided on the question when they turned in their findings in August of 2021, concluding that “a more definitive explanation” of the origin of the virus would “most likely” not be possible without cooperation from China.
The administration, as well as the World Health Organization, have repeatedly called on China to share health data from the early days of the pandemic that would further scientific investigation into the COVID-19 origins. The Chinese Centers for Disease Control and Prevention did upload some data related to samples taken at the nearby Wuhan wet market to the global virus database but removed it shortly afterward.
A classified report by the Department of Energy, which oversees numerous biological research labs in the U.S., concluded “with low confidence” in February of this year that the virus most likely came from the lab in Wuhan.
Until that assessment was made public, Republican lawmakers including Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton were widely derided for spreading misinformation when they entertained the possibility that the pandemic could’ve begun anywhere other than the animal “wet market” in Wuhan. The Washington Post, for instance, reported in February of 2020 that Cotton was spreading a “debunked” and “fringe” “conspiracy theory.”
Behind the scenes that month, Chinese officials were implementing new directives governing research facilities with the stated goal being to “earnestly advance the biosecurity of the state, and further strengthen the biosafety management of laboratories.”
The effort to shore up safety standards was what some might call a whole-of-government response, extending even to the Chinese president himself. As China was suppressing online speculation about the origins of the virus, the report details how Xi Jinping “drew a clear link” in a February speech to the CCP Politburo “between the political security of the party-state, public health, and better regulation of biosafety and biosecurity.”

The Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology issued additional regulations for a second time in February to establish “a long-lasting mechanism to prevent and control biosafety risks.”
If Beijing believed that the virus had occurred naturally, rather than as the result of a lab leak, which they consistently denied, the report states “it is unclear why they took time to address biosafety conditions” at research laboratories studying coronaviruses.
The Rubio report speculates that the vast lack of transparency from Beijing during the early days of the pandemic until now stems from a simple cause: “extreme embarrassment.” To confirm that the virus emerged from a lab, the document concludes, would represent “existential crisis for the CCP and therefore must be avoided at all costs.”
Beijing could handle the fallout if the virus originated naturally because, after all, spillover from the failure to properly regulate wet markets “is a crisis that the CCP has weathered before.” According to the Rubio report, “there’s no reason to believe that they could not survive it again.”
But a once-in-a-century pandemic brought on by risky research, conducted in order to showcase Beijing’s advancements in the biosciences, is another matter.
“When one further considers that this state-run laboratory was built to showcase China’s growing scientific prowess, and at least some segment of its research involved state secrets,” the report concludes, “it is not hard to imagine the extreme embarrassment and sensitivity that such a scenario would elicit in CCP leaders, even if the accident had not precipitated a pandemic.”

Townhall senior writer Julio Rosas blasted Congressman Daniel Goldman after the latter went on a tirade denigrating the importance of his testimony.
The incident took place during Tuesday’s House Homeland Security Committee hearing on left-wing violence.
Goldman repeatedly dismissed Rosas’ testimony and significance as a witness while suggesting the only true authority on the matter is the director of the FBI.
“As if Antifa, which Mr. Rosas, apparently the expert now in organized terrorist activity, has overruled the FBI director who says… there’s a headline that says ‘Antifa is an ideology, not an organization,’” Goldman said.
“No, no, no, let’s not listen to the FBI director,” he continued talking down to Rosas. “Let’s listen to — sorry, what’s your title? — senior writer at Townhall, who is going to tell us that the FBI director is wrong.”

Following his rant, Representative Goldman was asked by one of the witnesses if they could respond to his comments.
“No you cannot, I didn’t ask a question,” he flippantly replied.
However, Representative Eli Crane (R-AZ) offered some of his time during the hearing, affording Rosas an opportunity to respond.
“It’s funny to be lectured by an heir to the Levi Strauss Corporation,” Rosas fired back.
“And, honestly, that’s probably why he doesn’t consider property damage to be that big of a deal because, not only does he have that, but he also has what some people would describe [as] an impossibly good stock portfolio,” the conservative writer added.

Sketchy Stock Trades
When you have sketchy stock trades in your back pocket as an insult for a congressman acting like a punk, you know it’s good stuff.
Rosas continued to figuratively murder Goldman on social media, calling him a “coward” for not being present when he was finally able to respond and noting that yes, he does know more about Antifa violence than the FBI Director.
“As you can see in the beginning, [Goldman] was too much of a coward to be in the hearing room for my response to his baseless attack,” he tweeted. “And yes, I know more about Antifa than the discredited FBI director.”

Townhall’s Julio Rosas, unlike Goldman or the FBI Director, has been on the ground documenting several riots in America involving Antifa, including those surrounding the Kyle Rittenhouse incident and the violent protests over George Floyd.
Goldman, as Rosas suggests, has been the recipient of some awfully well-timed stock trades.
The New York Post reports that the Democrat lawmaker “sold up to $15,000 in stock in Credit Suisse” days before it was reported that they had violated a plea deal by helping rich clients evade taxes.
And just days before that he “dumped $15,000 worth of First Republic Bank” while their stock plummeted following the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank.

Goldman’s “impossibly good stock portfolio” is a result of over 500 trades since being sworn into office. Those trades, according to the Post, are “worth between $10 million and nearly $31 million.”
Bloomberg reports that he has a personal net worth of up to $253 million.

The latest political polling shows that former President Donald Trump holds a significant lead in the Republican presidential primary as the party’s primary draws nearer.
Trump leads his challengers by a wide margin in polling released Tuesday by Morning Consult, which compares Republican candidates’ support from GOP primary voters.
The poll put Trump at 61% among Republican voters, with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who has not yet announced his candidacy, in second place at 18%.
The poll showed DeSantis’ support declined while Trump’s popularity hit a new high for this cycle.
Former Vice President Mike Pence, who has also not announced, is in third place with 6% of those voters’ support.
“Anyone who claims the former president is not the frontrunner is denying reality,” Colin Reed, Republican strategist, former campaign manager for U.S. Sen. Scott Brown, R-Mass., and co-founder of South and Hill Strategies, told The Center Square. “The real question is whether the status quo can sustain itself throughout the nominating process, or whether a candidate can consolidate a plurality of support that rivals the strength of the ‘always Trump’ wing of the party.”

Trump’s chances were likely propelled by a recent CNN Town Hall that was widely seen as a win for Trump and a loss for the network. Trump was accused of lying and fact-checked in real time but drew cheers from the crowd when he pushed back and attacked the moderator.
“Call this town hall what it is: a CNN sponsored Trump 2024 fundraiser,” the Lincoln Project, an anti-Trump political group, wrote on Twitter. “Disgraceful.”
The day after the town hall, CNN’s Anderson Cooper made a point of noting Trump’s prominence.
“That man is the frontrunner for the Republican nomination for president, and according to polling, no other Republican is even close,” Cooper said, adding that “he may be president in less than two years, and that audience that upset you, that’s a sampling of about half the country. They are your family members, your neighbors, and they are voting, and many said they are voting for him.”
Trump will have to hold his lead against an array of qualified candidates. U.S. Sen. Tim Scott, R-SC, is expected to formally announce his candidacy later this month.
Radio host and commentator Larry Elder, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy have already announced their candidacy. The Morning Consult poll put Haley and Ramaswamy tied at 4% support. Scott came in with 1% support.
There is still time for potential challengers to gain ground on the former president. The first GOP caucus is in Iowa on Jan. 22, 2024. The first GOP primary is Jan. 30, 2024, in New Hampshire. But the first tranch of states holding their presidential primary votes is in March of next year.

For now, though, Trump holds a sizeable lead.
“History shows us that Trump is not going to implode or fade away on his own, and he has a low ceiling and a high floor – a floor that gets even higher when the rest of the pie is split up amongst a slew of other names,” Reed said.
President Joe Biden announced he is running for reelection in April. Author Marianne Williamson andRobert F. Kenney Jr., an environmental lawyer who became famous for attacking the COVID-19 vaccine, are running against Biden.
They have gained little traction, though, and blame the Democratic National Convention, pointing out the DNC plans to host no debates before the primary votes.
In typical Trump fashion, the former president hit Biden immediately upon his announcement.
“You could take the five worst presidents in American history, and put them together, and they would not have done the damage Joe Biden has done to our nation in just a few short years,” Trump said in his video response on TruthSocial to Biden’s announcement. “Not even close.”

Stunning video footage appears to show a United States Army soldier opening a gate and allowing a large crowd of illegal immigrants across the border onto private property in Texas.
The horde of illegals is then picked up by a bus and whisked away.
Clips of the incident were posted on social media by Fox News national correspondent Bill Melugin.
“Security video from a contact in Eagle Pass, TX shows a large group of migrants crossing illegally onto private property this morning,” he wrote.
“I asked the Texas National Guard if this is one of their soldiers who opens the gate for the group of migrants,” he wrote in a follow-up post.
Officials told Melugin that the soldier was “under orders” from the federal government and working with the Border Patrol. Border Patrol agents would technically be the only ones with the authority to open the gate.

Soldier Opens Gate at Border For Illegal Immigrants
President Biden over the weekend mocked critics of the humanitarian crisis at the border following the end of Title 42 as initial numbers actually suggest a drop in illegal crossing during the first few days.
“Much better than you all expected,” Biden said to reporters about the state of the border while riding his bicycle.
The numbers are expected to rise as human and drug smugglers navigate the post-Title 42 landscape.

The invasion is going as planned if we now have Army soldiers or Border Patrol opening the gates and letting illegals into the country. Why bother having a fence if the gate is constantly open?
One source told the New York Post that the above video is not unusual since the migrants were already on American soil despite being on the opposite side of the fence initially.
That said, it’s reportedly private property. Did the land owner authorize the opening of the gate, or did the military or border patrol do so on their own? Remember, Melugin states the soldier was “under orders from the federal (government).”

Abbott Orders Gate to be Blocked
In a subsequent post, Melugin reveals an image from the following day showing a Texas State Trooper vehicle blocking the same gate.
“(Texas Department of Public Safety) is blocking the gate today as Gov. Abbott continues his much stricter effort to have TX soldiers and troopers physically block and repel illegal crossings,” he writes.
Melugin points out that there is a vast difference in how state and federal officials are dealing with illegal immigrants.

It’s unclear where the bus is taking the illegal immigrants in the above video. Not that it matters. Abbott has been playing political games by shipping them to so-called sanctuary cities. Whether it is the federal government or Texas officials, these hordes of illegals are being shipped all across the country.
They should be shipped out of the country.
This has been happening since at least August of 2022. The Political Insider reported on another video at that time showing Border Patrol agents opening a gate at a “major crossing area” in the same exact area of Eagle Pass, Texas.

Abbott responded to the video calling it “unbelievable.”
“While Texas secures the border, the federal government is enabling illegal immigration,” he said.
Now it appears to have shifted from ‘unbelievable’ to routine.
