Trump may humiliate weak-sauce Starmer further by purchasing Diego Garcia Island.
Of all the horrible policies that the leftist government of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has put forward, few have been so criticized as his surrendering of the Chagos Islands, which include Diego Garcia, where the United States has a strategic air base.
At first, the US Donald J. Trump administration did not openly oppose the move, but today, the president came out guns blazing against this move, in the context of his plans to control the Western Hemisphere.
It’s pure Trump trolling: calls the UK ‘our ‘brilliant’ NATO Ally’, calls the decision to give away the Island of Diego Garcia ‘an act of GREAT STUPIDITY’, and another reason why the US needs Greenland.
Starmer: trolled by Trump.
The British Press now fears that Trump will buy or otherwise take back the Islands, reducing Starmer to sheer humiliation.

“The greatest risk for Sir Keir Starmer created by Donald Trump’s sudden outburst against the Chagos deal is not that America thwarts or slows down the agreement, but rather that it does what is both unexpected and blindingly obvious.
Suppose Britain hands over the islands to Mauritius, whereupon America just buys them from their new owner? That quintessentially Trumpian deal would cut Britain out of the picture completely, leaving Starmer with the ignominy of having surrendered a vital strategic asset for no gain whatsoever.”

We might also need some nearby islands just to ensure that the base is properly protected’.”
